Westchase Tire & Auto has always been extremely polite and professional. They do good work, provide honest opinions and move quickly to get you back on the road. They go above and beyond and I suggest anyone consider using their services.

1^st visit to this place: March 2015
My dad had a check engine light come on so we went here to get it checked out. The man said it would cost us $ 99 just to know what was wrong. $ 99 for a diagnostic. LOL try again buddy. Went to a different mechanic who checked the check engine light for FREE and the thing that was wrong didn’t even come to $ 99, it was only $ 20.
2^nd visit: September 2015
After my first visit, I should’ve known not to go here, but since it had such high reviews on Unilocal,I thought why not give it another try.
I needed to get a Texas inspection sticker on my out of state car. The same man as before tells me if I don’t have any check engine light on, I should most likely pass. Fast forward 45 minutes, one of the mechanics comes to me and tells me my car failed. And why, you may ask? Because of some BS reason he made up and showed me how one part was sticky or something.
He then gave me a quote of $ 900 to fix it. LOL a quote of $ 900 to fix something on a standard Honda Civic? You gotta be out of your mind! Mind you, the thing he said that was wrong was not even required to be checked for the safety inspection. I told the guy he was lying and trying to hustle me, because I had just gotten a full inspection on my car before coming to Texas. When I said that, his face totally gave away that he indeed, was lying.
I went to another inspection shop where the guy correctly inspected my vehicle and gave me the sticker. I told the new mechanic what the people from this shop said, and he said there was nothing wrong with my car.
So fellow Unilocalers, this place will make up all sorts of problems with your car so you can pay to keep their business running. Don’t fall into their trap! AVOID this place, but if you must go, ALWAYS get a second opinion.

Great place… real friendly, and professional guys. it is great that there are still businesses out there that treat people with respect and honesty. Chad and his crew are pros.

Went yesterday for an oil change and rotate/​balance. Based on the service I received from Mike, I’ll be a return customer for sure.

Came in for an inspection and this place is soooo nasty. I know it’s a group of guys but I know they can expense a cleaning service.

I called at 7 am because my oil light came on and started beeping. They said no problem and I was able to drive over and drop my car off right away. They gave me a fair price, especially for a synthetic oil change, and even gave me a requested estimate on my tire, rotors, and brake pads. They weren’t pushy, just super friendly and informative.

Chad was amazing. I had called in yesterday after reading the reviews on Unilocal and I was not dissapointed. I needed to get all 4 tires… yes all four… and they took 2 hours to complete it. I just waited for the entire 2 hours studying there and it was nice and comfortable. Chad greets everyone who walks in the door. I noticed most people that walked in the door were pleasantly suprised to have someone greet them at the door like as if they are a long lost relative. The price was around 790 for all for tires. There are more expensive options. My husband told me that our old car was also serviced by this location and they did not even charge for their 3 hours of labor when they found out that they cannot repair it. He also let us leave the car there overnight so that we can get towing service the next morning. Great service. I think I just found my new autocare place.

I was looking for a place to get my oil changed that was close by and wouldn’t try to scam to me for a million different things when I went in. This place by far exceeded my expectations. Mike is super friendly and got my car in right away (I of course waited until right before I needed to go out of town for the 4^th of July weekend). He called to tell me he wanted to talk to me about my brakes. My first thought was «oh man, here we go… I wonder how much this mechanic is going to try to get me for.» But when I returned to the shop at 5:30p.m. that night to discuss it, he was really very much correct on telling me that I needed to replace my brake pads. My brakes were so bad that I could have been in an accident very easily. I was headed out to the hill country the very next afternoon. He said he could get me in first thing in the morning. So I took my car back the next day and that’s when this shop continued to impress me. First of all he knew I was on a tight budget, so he only did my rear brakes for now (both front and back needed them, but the back was the most pressing). He said to wait a month to 6 weeks then come back to work on the front. After I left the car I called to ask if he had windshield wiper blades he could put on, because for the last year I have been meaning to get new ones and I always forget until it starts raining… then of course I don’t want to go out and buy them then. He said no problem. So when I went to pick up my car just two hours later and he was ringing me up he offered to take care of the new windshield wiper blades for free. After comparing his prices to others I feel he came way under what another place would have charged me for my brakes. If that was not enough he gave me a thank you card, with a hand written thank you on the inside for my business. He included $ 10 off my next oil change, free battery check, and free tire rotation. As a female who does not know a ton about cars I love finding a place that I do not feel will take advantage of my ignorance. He also made sure to let me know how dangerous it could be to continue driving without fixing my brakes. Mike and Westchase Tire & Auto will be my new go to place for anything dealing with my car. He is a good, honest man, who cares about his customers. I love that his shop is close to where I live, but even if I had to drive a ways I would just to continue my service jobs here. Took my Honda with 235,000 miles for Oil Change at 10:05am and Had a Small wait of 15 – 220 min. Took care of me with Fast Service when stepping into the Door. Came here because of other Good Reviews from Unilocalers! So Thanks!

My tire stem failed and I had an emergency. The people at this shop immediately replaced my tire stem while my son and I waited. They were really nice and courteous! Highly recommend this place.

I’ve been here for tires, oil changes, inspections, checking random noises – they’ve yet to let me down!
I’ve always said three friends you need to have in your immediate world: a doctor, a lawyer, and a mechanic… I feel very lucky to have found these guys!

I used to go here a lot when I lived in the area and was very pleased with the service, particularly the openness and honesty.
I recently went back to get a second opinion on diagnosis carried out by a shop near to my home. I had a leak in the brake system and they were recommending replacement of brake master cylinder and related repairs at estimated cost of $ 5,000.
Chad’s team conducted their own diagnosis and identified a loose hose as the issue. It’s worth driving the extra miles to get a repair shop you can trust.

So, I purchased a coupon for a cheap oil change and tire rotation at a competitor, let’s call them Iffy Ube. When the mechanic at Iffy Ube was trying to remove the lug nuts on one of the wheels, they could not for fear of breaking the stud, which they then could not fix in shop. So I drove away without my rotation.
I called Westchase Tire and Auto, since I live in their neighborhood, initially to see if they could do what Iffy Ube could not do, remove the nut to do a tire rotation. I spoke to them many times over the phone and the man was patient to give me the answers to the questions I kept coming up with. They finally gave me a estimate on how much it would be if the stud was indeed broken, and how much it would be just to do the rotation.
I went over and indeed the stud needed to be broken and replaced. They were professional, courteous and did the job in a timely manner. They stuck to the estimate that they gave me and did the tire rotation as well. They seem to be a clean shop, full of professional, patient mechanics.

Took my car to get it service on my check engine light was diagnosed really fast i would recommend this place to get your car service.

I am so contented with Westchase Tire and Auto that I drive my vehicle to them before going to the dealership’s service department (without a second thought). The management team and technicians are top-​notch; they take pride in the quality of their work and the parts and labor are guaranteed. My Saturn now had 207,000 miles and is still going strong thanks to Westchase Tire & Automotive.
The best thing I can say is they fix it right the first time and they don’t sit on it either.
I cant afford to be w/​o my car and for the last 10 years these guys have fixed everything from my clutch, motor mounts, struts, to even helping me get a window replaced when my car was broken into.
I worked for AAA in the early 80’s and know the standards they make you keep or AAA comes out and takes the sign down. I don’t mess around with my AAA surveys and these guys always earn the best rating.
They have even convinced me from moving from Michelin’s to Goodyear Assurance after I looked into the details in CR and saw for my climate (no snow) the Goodyear was the best choice for me.

I went in for a 38 point inspection with my AAA membership.
These guys have no experience with diesel cars. They gave me a false diagnosis on repairs. Went to another location and what Westchase Tire & Auto identified as having a leaking turbo charger was wrong. There was no leak.
They also failed on the 38 point inspection. I had a disconnected fuel line that they didn’t even spot.
They are AAA certified but I wouldn’t trust them a bit.

Chad and his crew are topnotch, I’ve been going here for 5 years now.
I have some experience around cars and I know Chad and his crew have NEVER tried to get anything by me and that’s hard to come by in the repair world.
I’ve taken five different cars here personally and have recommended W.T.A. service to coworkers because our office is near by and everyone has been happy with the results.
Another thing I was impressed with, Chad worked with me when he didn’t carry a tire I wanted (Nor did Discount Tire) I ordered them online and had it shipped to his store, he charged a fair price to have them installed.
