Yellow Cab

Most expensive ride ever. I normally use another transportation service but had to use yellowcab today as I wait for a new debit card and the prices are insane. My first driver taking me to my location made a stop along the way and charged me 23 $ while the other service I use costs only 9 – 10. The trip back I was charged 16.60 for a trip that always costs me 9 – 10 max with my other company. The the driver was talking in is cell phone about how he hates drivers that don’t tip

Worst cab EVER!!! Driver took over 30 min… dispatch said he 5 min away. Showed up eating cheeseburger w/​greasy hands. I had to go to Kingwood for 2^nd part of interview. This was unexpected I knew it would cost, he refused to follow my directions that office gave me printed. He got lost kept making wrong turns. Put in wrong address in his Garmin. Garmin is unreliable ESP if it’s not updated. Garmin would tell him right turn he’d be in left lane, left turn he’d be in right lane. He had no idea what he was doing. Cost me $ 150. I’m a traveling lab tech in Houston for interview. I use cabs all over. Even Washington, DC has better cab service than Houston… I’m so disgusted

Great service over the phone. Both ladies I spoke to answer all my questions and with was very pleasant. I just got off the phone with a another cab service that was very rude and hung up on me. I’m sure tomorrow will be a nice experience. If not I will be sure to let you know.

Worst Ever
You can call yellow cab as many times as you would like but if you don’t have multiple people traveling multiple miles they’re not coming!!!
Don’t waste your time call Über

I wanted to give negative stars, as did many other reviewers. Absolutely terrible. Did show up, but driver pulled a trick where he doesn’t turn on the meter right away, so he pads the fare to make up for the difference. Have taken this same route by cab from same hotel to exact same airport terminal not (usually with yellow cab). The cab fare is very consistent. When I told the driver what the cab fare should be and asked him to explain his inappropriate mark up, he had no explanation (he knew he was caught), but didn’t correct his mistake either. These guys are dishonest. Über is a far better option. As far as I am concerned, Über and Lyft can’t drive them out of business soon enough.

Called around 1:30 am to be picked up from friends apartment. They said a cab was on the way. Around 45 minutes later, they called and asked if we still wanted one which we of course said yes to. 1 hour later I called to see what was going on. Was told «cab has been dispatched» before she hung up. Cab never showed up. In the end, had to use Über to get home. Instead of getting back at 2 am as planned. I got home at 5 am. Terrible service.

This is the best cab company in Houston. That’s not saying much but it’s a fact. Yellow Cab arrives promptly. It’s Hail-​A-​Cab works well. The cabs aren’t that clean do get you where you need to go promptly. Yellow Cab, unlike many other cab companies in Houston, does NOT assess a $ 4.50 credit card transaction fee.

no stars is about right. got into a houston chain reaction accident on 45 on my way to drop my wife off at the airport. called within 10 min. to pick her up … nothing. towed car to a solid address nothing … police called it in … nothing. good hour later someone staying he is on his way. but 15 min more. litterally the tow truck driver dropped off my car took her luagage and my dog and dropped us off.

I used Yellow Cab for one day and travelled near the medical center.(Within 10 miles at most).
I called the number posted on the website and printed on the cab to hail a cab. They usually come within 10 minutes.
Drivers are easy to communicate and friendly.
Cubs are clean and in good condition. The air conditioning is functioning well.
I will use it next time when I am in Houston.

They don’t even deserve 1 star. So we left midtown and told him exactly where we were going. All of a sudden looked up and realized he missed our exit (on purpose) and was taking 610, the long way around. I asked him to take cavalcade and he ignored me acting like he didn’t hear me. As soon as he realized I knew exactly where we were and that I wasn’t as drunk as he thought he was screwed. I let him know that Yellow Can, on Hays Road, in Houston was one of my old customers and I knew exactly where we were and where he worked and began questioning the driver as to why we were taking the wrong way home. The driver was silent. He also did not follow the gps and try to exit the highway while not advised by GPS until I had to vocalize he was going the wrong way. After a 40.00 cab ride that should have cost maximum 10.00 I will never take a cab ride again, id be much happier with ober. Yellow Cab takes advantage of people when they think they don’t realize where they are. well guess what… I know exactly where you are and I will not put up with your bull shit.

Never Ever Again — Beware of cab driver 31 899 who drives van number 282 with license plate number NNV-​263, he will take you to wrong location, then make you pay half the price, if you complain he charges you full amount and calls cops!!!

Scheduled a cab pick up at 6:30am to go to West Houston Medical Center for a procedure. She confirmed that a cab would be there at 6:30am. Called at 6:45am when there still wasn’t a cab and she explained there was only one cab working in the area and no one had responded to the dispatch… so why did she confirm the pickup in the first place? Had to drive to the hospital in pain in order to make it to my procedure… this company has lost my business and I will go out of my way to avoid using them in the future. Got a call back at 7:50am to see if I was still waiting… Ha. What a joke.

Hi. I travel for business every week, I am 60 and have never complained about a cab ride ever, until today! i took taxi 1049 from min made park to Hobby. Worst cab ride ever! cab was dirty, cab was 90 deg!, took driver 5 min to process my CC, and no disclosures of an additional $ 4.50 fee for using a CC Your taxi service sucks, it’s what I would expect in a 3^rd world country

My driver didn’t show up. Don’t bother with these guys. Do I have to award even one star?

Yellow/​United has a monopoly in taxicab services. They never showed up and caused me to miss my flight. I was ready three hours before departure. Because of this company, I had to pay $ 202 for reticketing me because they never sent a cab to drive me to Bush Intercontinental.

2am on a Saturday night, closing time in Houston and everybody’s trying to get home. The company called about half an hour after my friends made the booking to apologise for the delay and ask if we still needed a cab, which was pretty efficient of them. I was picked up 10 minutes later and dropped back to my hotel by a gentleman taxi driver, feeling safe and secure. Top marks from me.

Wish I could give them negative stars. Only had a requested taxi show up twice of the multiple times i’ve called them. Any suggestions for a reliable cab company?

I called to have a taxi cab pick me up and take me to the airport in Houston. The operator said the taxi should arrive within 20 – 30 minutes. I waited for more than an hour, and the cab still did not show. I called customer service, and complained that I was running late on time, and worried that I’d miss my flight if the cab doesn’t show up. The operator started yelling at me and told me I needed to be patient and just wait longer. There was no apology, or she didn’t even offer to check on the cab or even call another one. I didn’t like her tone, and asked to speak with her supervisor. She used foul language and told me that she didn’t have time to deal with me, and hung up on me.
Pressed for time, I called another taxi service company and got to the airport. Since a lot of time was wasted, I ended up missing my flight. What a nightmare! Do not use Yellow Cab Houston! My whole day was ruined. I had to wait on stand-​by for the next available flight, and when I tried to call back to speak with a supervisor or manager, I only got an automated machine. These people do not know how to conduct business, and they seem to train their employees to be rude and use obscene language to customers.
