I went to this store when it first opened and was greatly disappointed. This time, I wanted to go to Waldbaum’s to pick up some items, but, my daughter wanted to go to Key Food. I grudgingly went with her. To my surprise and delight, their inventory and store layout had changed dramatically– all for the good. Organic produce was all in one section and easy to find — and they looked pretty fresh. In their frozen section, I actually found Morningstar Grillers — an 8 pack for a very low price. Then I found Nellies cage free eggs. Oh and Chobani yogurts were 10 for $ 1– can’t beat that. Looks like they are trying to get more business and they certainly will have mine for as long as they continue to have what I want. The only drawbacks are a small parking lot which holds about 15 cars or so – I didn’t count them– I’m just guessing, and small aisles. But all in all it was worth my time and money.

OK. Just went back and checked out to see if anything had changed. Glad I did– and glad they did as well. Yes it is still super tiny in regards to the aisles but I was pleasantly surprised at the better variety of products recently. They had a LOT of organic produce — a whole little case full near the front of the store. Yes some was a but pricey like the 8 dollar strawberries — but some not too bad — really! Yup — they still have Veganaise — even though is a few more dollars than what I pay at Whole Foods… But this time they had so, so much more for me. They actually had Amy’s frozen foods as well as Morningstar Farms. They also had FIELDROAST apple faux sausages — at a decent price. A lot of places do not have these. They also had Soy to Go Cappuccino drinks — YUM! Plus Kombucha drinks. Hmm — what else did I grab this time? Oh — Zen Vegan chocolate pudding — very rare find — other than health food stores. AND they had SuperSeeds Flavored Pumpkin Seeds — these things are awesome!!! Lastly grabbed a new find to try with some friends that was a big hit — «BarkThins» Dark Chocolate snacks — sooooo good. Non GMO, Fair Trade — and pretty much vegan. Really recommend these things — huge hit with everyone who trued them. I must say NOW I AM A FAN of this Key Food. It looks like the crowds are long gone and both of the last two times I went — once on a Friday night about 8 and once the next day Saturday — like 2PM — it was relatively empty. At least it made it much easier to get down the aisles — MUCH more enjoyable this time. Staff are super friendly here. Met one 16 year old at checkout who(because it was so slow) was able to tell me about how he is saving his money for college and a bike for his little brother. So Glad I went Back. Hope they are able to make it cause the stiff I picked up is hard to find elsewhere…
