I went to the restaurant because in the past they were very good with accommodating a gluten allergy. All of their competitors in the area can cook the meal without the sauces but when we decided on going there we thought they would have various options, like in past occasions. They had 2 options for meals! When I asked if they could just make the meal(which was one of their steak options) they said there was absolutely no way that they could make it because all of their meals are made at the beginning of the day! Gross Also, they got rid of the 2 steaks from the menu that would have been gluten free! Not to mention the poor service. Our waitress was really inattentive and she only came when necessary! Stay home and make a meal before thinking about going to applebees!

It’s an Applebee’s; it’s what you would expect from a chain restaurant — food, ambience, service etc. It’s not the best tasting, high-quality food but it will definitely hit the spot if you’re craving it and the service can be a hit or miss. The spinach and artichoke dip is my go-to when I come for half-off apps. I’ll usually get a burger along with the dip. I’ve gotten their pastas before but I feel like they always hold out on the proteins. With 3 – 4 small pieces of chicken I’ve always been unsatisfied after eating a pasta dish. The chicken itself usually tastes like ready-made, microwaveable meat. Service is mostly good when I visit; Our waiters have always been friendly and very attentive to the table but sometimes food comes out of the kitchen pretty slowly. During our last visit the waiter was very friendly and our orders came out on time. For an Applebee’s this one has the best service of any other I’ve been to. Food is about the same.

They have new little iPads on the tables and call them Presto. Don’t touch it. We didn’t want it because they charge you $ 1.99. Such a rip off. Check your bill before you leave.

A staple restaurant in Howell as we don’t have much. It was a great restaurant for all of the high school kids to go to for half prized apps after musicals or concerts. A place where we could all afford. The food is okay and the service is a hit or miss. It’s a chain, eh?

Applebees. The ubiquitous watering hole to the masses. You can’t miss them. A group of friends decided to meet for a holiday luncheon there yesterday. There were eight of us dining. Now being an Applebee’s, my expectations weren’t too high. I expected to get a decent lunch with no surprises. That was pretty much what I got. Well, maybe a surprise. I had the grilled chicken caesar salad. It was good. Chicken was moist, salad dressing good, even real flakes of Parmesan on it. One of us had the broccoli cheese soup which was good. One of us got the oriental salad but complained there wasn’t enough lettuce in it. One got a burger that was described as «ok but I could make it better myself.» So with the food being pretty much what we expected we move on to the service. Our order was taken in a timely manner. Appys came out when expected. Entreés however came out in three installments. 4 salads were served first. There was a 10 minute gap until the burger and other food came out. We had to ask where the last salad was before they brought it out. They apologized for the mishap and took the charge off the bill. Some of us griped but considering it was an Applebees, I thought it was pretty good.

I love Applebee’s. But the waiter took 10 minutes to bring us our drink. And it’s not like we had anything fancy just sodas. Food was good. But then we wanted the check and that took 20 minutes because the waiter disappeared we didn’t get anything fancy I just had the chicken platter which was amazing. Other than that it was good, but I woudnt want that waiter again.

I love Applebee’s but the service was pretty slow. Service looked sad, as in the employees looked like they hated working there, and the food took an hour to be delivered to us. They don’t bother taking out the finished dishes when they clearly walk by. Hoping they can step up their game, there are plenty of other restaurants too.

When you go to a restaurant there are several factors that influence your opinion of it. Service, food, cleanliness, etc. And in some cases when one of those things shine it allows you to overlook the things that weren’t that good. But in the case of Applebee’s, everything is just mediocre. Doesn’t anyone smile anymore? Do I really have to deal with a snotty hostess rolling her eyes at me because I request a booth away from the bar in a half empty restaurant? At least our server smiled. Although he seemed to be in another world half the time causing him to forget things. But at least he was apologetic. Ok, so the service isn’t the best, maybe the food will make up for it in some small way. It’s as basic as food gets here at your friendly neighbourhood Applebees, so it should be able to be prepared with ease. However, the simplicity of how long to cook a chicken breast before it turns into cardboard seems to have escaped the cooks memory. Dry chicken, underdone potatoes, hard churros for desert, dirty bathroom, underwhelming service. The only good thing is that you already expect to have a mediocre meal before you even walk through the door. It just disappoints that there really isn’t one good thing that allows you to overlook something bad.

It’s ok. Typical chain fare, also known as gourmet in this crummy town. But it beats the neighboring chain down the street by one star. I got food poisoning twice there! If you have to go to a chain here, I only recommend Longhorn or Panera. Or go to Luigis Pizza across the street!

Horrible horrible service. The server disappeared for most of the two and a half hours we spent there for lunch. My son waited for his dessert for about an hour. We complained to the manager who could obviously care less. I would never ever go back even though our burgers were great. Which says a lot.

Waitresses there just plain terrible and I always try to be as nice as possible, but when we got there last night the girl was rude, food was messed up. Overall service was 1 out of 10

Applebee’s is a nice little restaurant that has basically good food for a reasonable price– I can’t complain since we have not had bad service or food on the times we have been here– I do think the lights over the tables shine a bit much in your eyes though and the staff cant adjust them. so if the light in yours bothers you dint sit in the bar booths. So with that said– enjoy Applebee’s.

I’ve been coming here since I was in my teens(as all the kids do). There are a few staff members that have been there since I started coming here, and that has something in itself to say about the establishment. John the bartender is a great guy, he’s quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. Some of the servers to mention quickly, Melissa, Mel, Jose are all great people. The environment is always warm and welcoming.

My wife and I both became ill after eating there. A few days later my daughter mentioned she and her boyfriend also became ill. Odd, perhaps, because we have eaten there numerous times without issues.

Horrible service… the waiter obviously hated her job, and I can see it. The water tasted nasty… the food wasn’t as good, well my dish wasnt good. I got the cajun shrimp pasta… it took the waiter honestly 20 minutes to take our check… she just took it about 2 seconds ago. I didnt leave a tip… why leave a tip when you didnt get proper service?

I have been coming here since this entire area was built up and Applebee’s first opened. I remember when it was MY graduating Jackson class that used to be on the walls… that being said, I have had on and off good and bad experiences here. I mean, it’s Applebee’s. It’s not a 5-star gourmet cuisine type place, but it’s a nice little chain that my kids absolutely LOVE to go to. So, we frequent here a bit when the kids give us a little push. I was with my son tonight, and he asked if we could eat here since my husband was working late and our daughter is away on a trip. I said, sure, and off we went. The hostess with the flaming red hair was smiling and eager to greet us at the door. She noticed my son’s t-shirt(Sweet Music Academy), and started asking him questions on what he played, etc. My son is special needs and wears leg braces, and I assist him in walking. Many people don’t know what to do when they see him, but this woman was all about engaging him in conversation and asking where he would like to sit, etc… she was an absolute DREAM. She sat us in «Charles» section, who she informed me was super nice and a great server. She was not wrong. He was a really friendly, young man, and also was truly engaging my son when he talked about specials or asked us questions. My son began showing his likes by using a «thumbs up» and Charles picked up on this and started giving them back to my son the rest of the night. He checked on us often, and we were never in need of anything. I would have actually sought out a manager, but one came to check on us half way through our meal, and I informed her about how happy I was with the service. I even went so far as to say it was the best service I have EVER had in this particular Applebee’s and I meant it. I was genuinely pleased with how well we were treated. As for the food, well, it’s still a chain restaurant, but I have to add that I really did enjoy the new lettuce wedge salad and the 4oz sirloin. I feel pleasantly full and not like I overdid it at all. For the price of $ 30, it was a nice night out for my son & I.

Other than half price appetizers and the 2 for 20 menu, its not worth it! They hike up the prices like its not a chain. $ 15 for an appetizer? NOTHING on that menu should be $ 15. $ 10 for a burger? You can get MUCH better food for less. Larger portions too… absolutely ridiculous.

Applebee’s had at least 1 menu item I enjoyed but has since removed it. Have not found a meal yet I enjoy. This one is packed all the time for dinner but I think it may have more to do with the fact options are limited in the area. Been to this one a handful of times and just nothing good to eat.

I hate all Applebees but sometimes when you’re 18 and broke you go there for half price appetizers after 10pm. Granted, I have not been here in years, and for this I am glad. Ick.
