Their pizza is amazing. They have never gotten an order wrong and unlike some other pizza places the pizza is always cooked right. It’s never over or under cooked. The bread sticks are soft and chewy and flavored just right. The prices and specials are cheaper than most of the other pizza places near me. Since the first time we walked in the staff has always been helpful and accommodating.

After reading other reviews of this place, I took a chance. I’ve ordered from here twice now, and each time was a pleasant experience — no swearing at their store or anything. I ordered online each time, and picked up in store. They were timely with my order, my pizza was fully cooked in the way that I ordered it – it wasn’t like any of the other reviews on here. I’ve had pizza from all the pizza places in Howell and Brighton, and Duke’s is one of the better places. As for the food, the consistency between my two orders, placed more than a week apart, was pretty even. I had ordered two larges the first time, and they were quite good — the crust was the best part, not cardboard and not undercooked; not too thick, not too thin. The balance of cheese to crust, to ingredients was good. The flavor of their sauce is good, though the way they cut their onions and their green peppers is similar to the big chains, little squares instead of rough chop. That being said, I haven’t had their delivery. And when I tried using their online site to pay for my order, the credit card processing was down — that isn’t their fault, though. Keep up the good work, guys!

I have never had a good experience with Dukes. Today I tried to give them just one more chance I received my pizza with the toppings completely on one side of the box. It was like someone was carrying it sideways and then on top of that it was not even cut. I would not recommend going to this pizza place just because our orders are alway longer than an hour to receive or they have forgotten our soda or the pizza is messed up like I experienced today. Personally I believe they should pack up and leave town!

I love their specialty pizzas… especially the reuben! Haven’t been able to find one in years… definitely will go back for more! I also love that they are locally owned… supporting family businesses is so important and Duke’s will not disappoint!

I sent this review seemingly to the restaurant’s owner 4 months ago via the«Contact Us’ button on their website, asking him/her to please contact me regarding my experience but never heard back. So now I will leave that review here. My order was approximately $ 30 and I ordered via the website. When I arrived at the store 25 minutes later, my order hadn’t been started yet. The girl at the counter seemed surprised that there was even an internet order placed, and told me it would be «just a few more minutes» as she scurried back to the kitchen. The«wall» between the front of house and the kitchen is made up of several stacks of pizza boxes, and I have news for the Duke’s employees: A pizza box wall does not a soundproof wall make. While I sat at a table waiting for my order to be ready, I could hear loud and clear various 4-letter words being dropped constantly by the teenagers working behind the extraordinary pizza box wall. What a nice family place. After 20 minutes of waiting at the store, my order was finally ready. Nobody apologized for the additional wait. Also, I noticed a side cup of what appeared to be italian dressing for my sub. I asked what it was, and the employee said it was the dressing that came with the sub. I asked him to swap it out for mayo. Not a huge deal, but the menu clearly stated that it came with mayo and it would be nice if the employees knew what ingredients came with what. I arrived home and opened the sub sandwich. It was full of giant tomatoes, which was surprising since, when I ordered it, I asked to 86 the tomatoes. When one orders boneless wings, they expect the wings to be «tossed» per say in the selected sauce. At least that’s what I envision. But these wings were simply dumped in the box and then sauce was poured over them with a ladle. I could tell because the bottom sides of the wings were plain. Again, maybe not a huge deal, but not what I would expect. Finally, the pizza. I ordered a large BLT pizza. When I picked up the first slice, it became utterly clear that the pizza dough was completely soggy and wet. It was like the middle wasn’t baked all the way. It was sloppy and drippy and watery. So much so that the bottom of the pizza box was completely soaked though. We each ate one slice and threw the rest away. So what did I do next? I did what any normal person would do and call the restaurant. I told the person who answered that I would like to speak to a manager and was placed on hold. I was never picked back up. Then, I left my feedback via the Duke’s website on the«Contact» page, and no one every responded. I gave them a chance to contact me to rectify the situation, and they didn’t so now I’m leaving this feedback where everyone can see. I really do hope that Duke’s can use it to improve their business.

I originally gave Duke’s a 5 star rating after my first trip, but the quality is just not consistent at all. I got a Mediterranean pizza tonight, which is topped with a balsamic glaze. It is usually at least decent, but tonight the glaze was rancid/spoiled. When I called to inform them after throwing up, they offered me a $ 5 credit. Why on earth would I want a $ 5 credit to a place I will never purchase from again.

This was the first place I found that was open on the night of a big snow storm. Tasty bacon cheeseburger pizza without the mustard and pickles. Baby back ribs were pretty good. A little dry but covered with a bunch of barbecue sauce. The service was very friendly.
