George’s Coney and Grill

I really enjoyed this place! Super fast, super fresh, and lots of smiles around here. Our waitress Heather was always one step ahead of the game. They also work well as a team, refilling drinks, dropping off bread, etc. Would recommend for sure. I had a Turkey, Bacon, Swiss wrap, and loved it. My wife had a huge Bleu cheese and Cherry Salad with chicken and plenty left for a take-​home snack.

This is the best coney type diner in the area. We walked in, say ourselves, and it was busy but, not packed. For an appetizer we had the saganaki. It was great. I thought it was better then Pegasus in Greek town. My husband ordered the turkey, bacon, swiss, wrap and it was huge and good. I ordered the blue cheese harvest salad with Michigan cherries, walnuts, romaine lettuce, crumbled blue cheese, and house dressing which is a raspberry vinaigrette that was wonderful. I added chicken to it. The prices were reasonable. .especially with the potion size. Plus, as a bonus the waitress Heather I asked her name she was so hospitable and attentive. Our drinks never ran out, food on time, and gave us suggestions that were her favorite since this was our first time. I loved how she joked with the seniors/​regulars, knew their name, and helped with anything they needed. The only thing negative I’d say is the customers did not always tip (mauve due to age) even though she was great.

We have been here a couple of time now and the service is friendly, food pretty good. Great breakfast specials.

The owners are almost always at the restaurant and care about the customers and food being served. Even though it’s a Coney, they will walk around and ask how the food is, and are nice and friendly to you.

I wanted to update my review from a vegetarian standpoint. Since becoming a vegetarian, I sometimes find it difficult to find good, healthy, vegetarian options at restaurants. I am delighted to have discovered George’s spinach and feta omelet! Yum!!! The spinach is fresh and the eggs taste amazing! They are fresh, light and fluffy. I almost wonder if they are farm fresh/​organic, they are so tasty! Thank you, George’s for truly the freshest omelet I’ve ever had!

Simple but good. Meals consisted of chicken soup and my Eggs Benedict Classic. My EBC was perfect! Not too hard, not too runny and not over spiced. Muffins were perfectly toasted. Even my glass of white milk was right. Mom liked her home made chicken soup. We’ll be back. Our server Justine was terrific.

Diner food the way it should be: fast, cheap, and delicious. I’ve gotten the veggie omelette three times now and it’s been great every time. The service is always friendly and fast. This is my new fav lil breakfast place.

Not the worst food, but a lot to be desired. Had the fish and chips priced at $ 8.99. It came with a cup of soup, vegetable, roll, fish and fries. Fish appeared to be from a frozen box. Fish was extremely over cooked, batter very hard and crunchy. I don’t think I would ever order dinner there again. My son had a cheeseburger which looked good. Service was so so. Waitress did not ask how the food was, or if we needed anything else.
