A great place to board and a friendly place to ride. I live in South Lyon, which has a myriad of boarding barns to choose from. I drive 45 minutes each way to Hardy Farms in Howell instead of boarding here because they’re that good. Here’s a quick list. –Giant pastures, over 300 acres –2 indoor arenas, one is GIGANTIC with built-in sound, lights, and video recording, one is small in the other barn. Jumps are up 2 days a week. Anyone can use the arena at any time. Monthly fun«turn and burn» shows. –Big barn $ 425, Small Barns $ 325(I think, they’re usually full), Pasture $ 250 –Automatic waterers –Trails to ride on –They grow their own hay, you may feed as much as you like –They will add your supplements for free –Staff lives on site, as do the owners –Tack boxes –Heated observation room with a real bathroom in the large arena –Washrack with hot and cold water They’re really excellent, and I’ve boarded in a lot of places.
