Service was great. Appetizers were very salty. Steaks were decent. Chain restaurant quality. However, I would return.

The staff is very friendly and on point the firecracker chicked wraps are to die for. The food is always very well prepared and have not had a bad experience yet the prices are very well for the quality of steak you get and the service. I always tell people to come here for a good bite of food a great atmosphere and very quick and friendly service.

Take me back. My perfectly cooked steak and the delicious chili was totally worth the party of 5 secretly telling the waitress it was a birthday. actually it wasn’t embarrassing at all, I played along well, even though the dessert came w/out even a hint or warning… the waitresses were all nice and wished me happy birthday many times with lots of smiles so it was fine.(if only it were my actual birthday.) In keeping on subject, as I said before, the chili is yummy, and the steak was cooked exactly to order, perfect temp. and perfect portion for the price. I hear though that with the recession they have had to make a few adjustments… …all in all a great time with cheap drinks as well. and the dessert was free

I have been to Longhorn twice in the past month to see if there have been any changes. I am happy to say that both times my steak was cooked the way I asked for it to be cooked and I did not have to send it back. For this, I am raising one star, just one. I will continue to try Longhorn every 2 or 3 weeks and if the steak is cooked consistently I will bump up my rating another star. Hopefully they are on the right track…

I am done with this place. Used to be good and now it is just flat out horrible. All I wanted was a nice steak and for my girl a good piece of salmon. I got a rib eye medium rare and it comes out raw. It was disgusting. They put this vinegar sauce which was too acidic. I took two bites and lost my appetite. I then asked for a burger and, wow, I was even more displeased. Burger was way over cooked. They used shredded cheese that you should match with your tacos. My girls salmon was ok, slightly over cooked and smothered in butter, how can they consider that a heathy choice? So disappointed

First time at this location. Arrived early on a Saturday(5:00PM). Initial impression… seemed newer than most other locations, with more dark wood and lower lighting level. But first impression was an unpleasant odor, like a carpet that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Pervaded the entire restaurant. Greeted promptly, indicated we preferred a booth. They had to «check» one, and it wasn’t ready. Confusing, because most of the booths were not occupied. Eventually found one to seat us at, and it was at the back, near a service passage way and wait station. Not the best location. Again, they walked us past a dozen booths that seemed to be available. Saving grace was the waitress, Judy. Obviously a highly experienced professional who actually enjoys her job. Drinks were good, Margarita Perfect was large and tasty, maybe a bit light on the Patron. 20-oz Magic Hat #9(1 of 2 «craft» drafts) was great. Caesar salads were overdressed, but ingredients were crisp and fresh. Steaks were cooked correctly — rare ribeye for Mrs I., and med-rare T-bone for me. Seasoned well, Still don’t understand why steaks with the claimed weights are only ½″ thick. Seems like you have to go to a really upscale steakhouse to get a decent thickness. Accompanying french fries and broccoli were very good, and generous portions.

Longhorn is a good restaurant on the go with the kids. Good steak, sides and a drink if you are so inclined. Usually very good service.

Since this place opened, the food has been phenomenal. I’ve never eaten a bad dish from here. I always mix it up each time I go, some menu items become staples for us like the spicy chicken wraps or the heavenly bread offered to each table. The staff is always friendly and the manager is sure to make their rounds at least every twenty minutes. Note: if the manager sees you frowning or hesitating to eat, they will politely pester you until you are satisfied. A+!

I LOVESTEAK! and Longhorn delivers! rib-eye all the way but I have been known on rare occasion to indulge with a porter house. ONLY because I starve myself LOL J/K The steaks are seasoned well so you really don’t need to add salt. I love the mushrooms on the side and the Caesar dressing is really good i wish they had better ranch– it tastes generic. Wait isn’t ever really long I think the longest was 20 min and on Saturdays 11:30−3pm its very quite so its perfect if you want a late lupper(late lunch early supper). they had this amazing Osso– Bucco around Christmas I had it twice — yes I bypassed steak for this dish –it was THAT good. I really wish they would bring it back. Wait staff has always been friendly and informative, I say bypass the fish the last two times the fish was okay but not WOW and hubby was a bit disappointed. But then I go to a steak house for steak not fish or salad. It’s good food for your dollar and we are set as customers. Is it good for kids? I have to say YES– and if you have read my reviews I am all about children behaving in restaurants. And it seems at this particular restaurant 95% of the children I have seen are well behaved and have manners– ya surprised me too– but its the parenting that makes the kids so – bring your kids if they can be young ladies and gentleman, get them a Shirley Temple or Luke Skywalker or whatever concoction the 7-up and cherry juice is called these days, and enjoy a lovely dinner at LongHorn.

I can’t say enough good things about the service at this Longhorns. We had a phenomenal time. Service with a smile is synonomous with this location. Our bartender Spencer was so friendly and very witty. We’ll be back! :)

Chain or not, when this place first opened, it was great, and I confess to eating here on a weekly basis. The price, quality, and volume of food were an unbeatable combination, and as a result, the restaurant was packed every night, for a very long time. At some point, relatively early on, the quality of the steaks went a bit downhill, and they’ve never come back up; they became gristly and just all-around tough. Some of the patrons seem to have gone too; this past Sunday at 8 p.m., the restaurant was a ghost town. Also, I think Weights and Measures needs to have a look at what this company is doing, as I’ve never grilled a 20 oz. steak at home and had it end up only ½″ thick, which seems to be what you seem to get here now. I didn’t bring my ruler, but the Porterhouse has seemed a bit skimpy for the last several years. Plus, they long ago dumped the only app on the menu that I really liked, which was the Santa Fe Shrimp, and I’m still holding a grudge about that. I had two dining partners, and we started with an order of the Wild West Shrimp, which are small popcorn shrimp dusted with something mildly spicy, served with sliced peppers and ranch dressing. We also ordered a plate of Western Cheese Fries, which incorporate chili, cheese, and jalapenos, and bacon. Neither was inspiring, nor did I expect them to be. Two of us ordered the Longhorn, which is the Porterhouse, and shared the typical experience described above. Our third ordered the Longhorn Salmon, described as having been treated to a bourbon marinade before grilling. That went mostly untouched, but I tasted it and thought it was the best thing I’d eaten all night, so maybe she just wasn’t that hungry. Despite the food, we had a great time. The beer was cold, and the conversation and company were enchanting. However, we could have had the same at one of our houses accompanied with a better meal. Next time someone suggests Longhorn, I have to remember that I don’t really like it anymore.

Went here about an hour before closing one night and it was quite obvious the staff was not happy. They looked like they were itching to get out of there and I had just foiled their escape. Had a burger was way overcooked, I imagine it would have been fine if it was cooked the way I requested. I have been to other Longhorn’s before and they are generally all the same. I am really not a big fan of the décor of these places, but that is just my opinion. Overall, I would rather go to Outback, they are better in all categories of the dining experience.

It’s a chain. There isn’t anything extra special or extra bad about it; the food is always moderate to good in taste, the staff is competent.

Husband and I go to LongHorn relatively frequently(so much so that some of the staff know us), knowing they are very consistent and we always enjoy a good dinner. We’ve never had a meal we didn’t like, steaks, chicken fingers, burgers and ribs have all been good. Service is also good. When we first started to go, we felt we were getting a good meal at a fair price, however over the years their prices have continued to increase and portions have decreased. We went on 4/8, had a glass or wine($ 8.50), two beers($ 4.50 each), ribs and a chicken dish and were surprised when our bill was $ 61.00 without tip. LongHorn is good but not sure how often we will return, there are many other places we can go and get just as good of a quality meal for less. Realize the alcohol is what makes it expensive but that is all part of going out to dinner. We received a $ 100 gift certificate and expected to be able to use it pay for 2 meals without having to add to it, guess not.

Um. Maybe I went on an «off» night. It was my mom’s birthday weekend. We had talked about going someplace else but at the last minute, she said, «Hey, how about Longhorn?» I hadn’t been in awhile, so I figured why not? First off, Howell Township? I grew up here. This place like is Central Casting… for a drama called Trailer Park Trash. When we got in, my mom couldn’t stop raving about their broccoli(side dish) and sweet potatoes. I was feeling«greens,» so I opted for the broccoli. Overcooked, bad, wilted. And that’s being kind. Of course, I know it’s not called Longhorn«Broccoli,» but I don’t think any of us got steak. I got some kind of chicken thing with a portabello mushroom cap. The mushroom was very good. The rest… not so much. My husband ordered the parmesan crusted chicken. Sir, I’ve had parmesan crusted chicken… THISWASNOTPARMESANCRUSTEDCHICKEN. Shit, you’re right by a goddamn Stop N Shop… buy the Shake N Bake package, it would have been MUCH better than the slop they put on my husband’s plate.(He did get a potato, which he said was very good. Then again, I could poop in a potato and he’d like it simply b/c it was a potato). Our waitress… the only time she was halfway decent was when we told her it was my mom’s bday. I think she kind of gave us extra dessert, which was fine. But her service up that point was terrible. Never came around to check on us, and never refilled our drinks. I know I must sound like a NYC elitist, but I only expect a few things in life when I go out to dinner. To have good service, and to have a halfway good meal. Didn’t get either. It’s too bad, I know my mom and her boyfriend were looking forward to having a good time and meal for her birthday. It fell short on the mark.

Not bad, not bad at all. Would have given a fifth star if menu was a bit more substantial. Steak was done to absoulute perfection. Enjoyed the sides and the fresh hot bread they put on table is very good. Surprised though that a full service bar had no Guiness but I guess that is a regional thing. Décor was very nice, overall very good time

I don’t know what’s up with the crappy reviews here, but I always enjoy coming here when I’m back home. Pretty solid menu with a good variety in all the courses as far as different items and varying prices. This past visit I went for the porterhouse and I’m glad I did. This thing was huge! The taste was there as well. Very juicy and cooked to my liking. Got myself a baked sweet potato on the side with butter and cinnamon, which was also very good. For dessert, myself and my family split the dessert trio. Gave us a chance to try different things and they were all very enjoyable. The one negative is that this place does get quite crowded on weekends so there will be a wait and the staff can be a little slow. Other than that I can say that the food is very good, the menu has a ton of options and its a great spot to go with the family.
