The staff here is very nice and professional with the extreme exception of the doctor herself. I have been here 3 times trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but this last time was just over the top. She has been extremely condescending and rude to me each time I was there, all coated in a fake smile of course(no pun intended). At my first appointment there the first thing she said to me after introducing herself was«You have really weird teeth.» and then went on to ask me if I have ever considered braces. I told her I was happy with my teeth(mostly straight with a straggler on the bottom that you don’t see when I smile and I have no problems chewing) but asked for her opinion. Long story short she recommended braces but said I would first need jaw surgery. That was a deal breaker for me so I said thanks but no thanks and figured that would be the end of it. Nope. My next appointment was for a couple of fillings. More comments about how my teeth were weird. Then I was in pain for WEEKS afterward and had to go back in to have her work fixed. She tried to make me feel like I was being over sensitive and that this was totally normal. I’ve had plenty of dental work done by other dentists and never had a problem in the past so I highly doubt that was the case. I did not appreciate being treated like an inconvenience. Onto my third and final visit 6 months later for a cleaning. Like I stated above, the rest of the staff here is just wonderful. My hygienist was very pleasant and did a great job. At the end of my cleaning the dentist popped in just to take a peak. After saying hello her first words were«Man, you really have weird teeth. They look really strange and thick. Oh, nooow I see, it’s because you have veneers. I’ll tell you right now I could do a heck of a lot better job than THAT, that’s for sure.» You’d think I had giant ugly teeth by what she said! My smile is beautiful! So then she asked how I was and what was new. When I was at a loss for words the hygienist nicely told her how I’m very busy because I have a one year old. This is when the doctor crossed the line for me. «Oh that’s right I saw nursing in your chart.» she said. «Yes, we just finally stopped and I’m happy not to be pumping anymore!(I exclusively pumped for a year.) I replied. «I guess I can see why people do it, especially poor people. I mean if you’re poor it’s a life saver. Lots of women do it in third world countries. If you’re poor then it just makes sense I guess.»…What??? I was so dumbfounded at her uneducated rude snobbery I didn’t say much more than«Ya, I guess…» and I politely left the office. Completely offensive, misguided and rude. She is entitled to her opinions, but as a medical professional she should know better than to speak to people this way. I took my business elsewhere.

Very good with adults and kids. Mrs. Dr. Columbus is so patient with stubborn kids and frustrated moms. I highly recommend this office. The support staff and assistants are very nice and professional.
