Amazing food, staff, and ice cream everything is very reasonably priced, and they give you more than you’d expect! We love the fisherman platter and burgers here all of the food is very well cooked and fresh. They have unlimited ice cream flavors and sizes I get the kiddie and still can’t manage to eat it all!

This review is only about the ice cream. I got the marble twist, my go-to item to compare shops(soft, chocolate-vanilla twist is what Hudson calls a marble twist). It was not creamy and somewhat icy. It didn’t have much flavor, either. Locally, it isn’t as old as Erickson’s in Maynard or Kimball’s in Littleton. Our son got hard strawberry ice cream in a cup — his go-to. It was ok, but a little icy. It was not as good as the places above of the ice cream you can get at Oscar’s Burrito shop in Boxboro. Maybe it was just today, but I don’t have much of an urge to go back.

WOW!!! Clams were EXCELLENT!!! The service was personable and caring, and the fried dough sundae put us in a coma. Top notch!

Terrific ice cream, manageable lines. The kid behind the counter was not super into her job, but she certainly wasn’t rude.

The three most important aspects of an ice cream shop are location, taste, and price. The location on the Assabet River bike trail is excellent. The ice cream tastes good and comes in a variety of flavors. The price, however, is a bit high. The first two make up for the bad price, though.

Ice cream is good. Frapps are delicious Wish there was a less expensive(smaller) option for kids cones. Burgers good too. There are ice cream places in New England that have amazing fried seafood. This is not one of them. Stick to the burgers, onion rings, etc for food.

Very good food, great ice cream and reasonable prices. This place seems to get better and better all the time I go there the clams were a little pricey but they were delicious ice cream is awesome. For a small place they have a very large menu and everything is really good I haven’t had a complaint yet

«Well Short of Past Standards for Clams» We live in the area and go there for ice cream, and also for fried clams. Their clams are good but expensive, however, there aren’t many nearby alternatives. Until today, we’ve been ok with the prices, since they gave a good sized portion. This evening we ordered a «medium» container of just clams(no fries, etc.), that was priced at $ 27.80. In the past, that has been a very full serving for my wife and me, however, today’s portion was considerably smaller and definitely not worth that price. Before he(owner?) bagged it, I had seen it from a distance and it seemed smaller but he indicated it was a «medium». I figured that perhaps it was just my distant view, since we’ve ordered that size in the past. When I got home and opened it, my wife and I were both very disappointed at the paltry size of the portion for ~ $ 28. Sadly, this was the last time we’ll be going there for fried seafood. Their clams are not THAT good. Visited August 2014

WHATTHEHEYHAPPENEDHERE? I know that there have been some issues with quality control and clams… but when you«shell out» some serious clams for full belly clams, you do expect your $ 41 worth to be more than strips. This is NOT what Hudson Creamery is about. Flavor as delish as always both clams and onion rings… but if Im going to blow my WW points on an oil change… I want clams that are plump and belly-full… Second time I come and Chef isn’t in… :-(but the staff is as always delightful, and the food fresh and good. Just really measly clam strips, with some sprinkling of bellies.

place has more than ice cream, but i’ve only gone there for the ice cream. never disappointed. ice cream is never overly sweet. something about their ice cream though was that it seemed to melt much faster, like it was more water-based than heavy cream, which i don’t mind but would like to state as a precaution to eat your ice cream fast. their portions are huge. i’ve always ordered one scoop and it’s been as big as if not bigger than a grown man’s fist. if it’s your first time, i highly suggest you go with the small first, because it’s more than you would expect at other places.

I had cake batter ice cream with M&Ms, my husband had a strawberry frappé and my dad had apple crisp ice cream. The total price was about $ 12. Mine was excellent. They crush the M&Ms which makes it much easier to eat and tastier, in my opinion, because you get more of the chocolate flavor from them. My dad also loved his. It had chunks of apple in it. My husband thought the frappé was okay, but could have been thicker. The sizes do run pretty large. I had read posts here before going so my dad and I ordered kiddie sizes and they were definitely big enough — two big scoops. I would definitely go back. They have a few frozen yogurt and soft serve flavors as well. They also had food, but we’d just eaten dinner so we didn’t partake.

Didn’t even realize this wasn’t dairy joy anymore till we were at the counter ordering! Love that they accept credit cards. The portion sizes are gigantic! The small is other places large. The ice-cream I ordered was creamy but had too many nuts in it — coconut almond joy. The caramel sauce that I added on was plentiful and very good! The prices seem a little high until you see their portions. We will definitely be back here this summer.
