Transcend Medi Spa

Every time I visit transcend, Laurie and team are warm, welcoming and professional. I have had many different procedures done at Trancend, from laser hair removal to airbrush tans. I am always very pleased with my results and I reccomend Laurie to my family and friends!

I went to Transcend four days ago for a Pixel skin resurfacing, and ended up with 2^nd degree burns and blisters. (This was originally written in 2013) After going to my doctor to have him look at my skin, I went to see Laurie at Transcend, and she didn’t have much to say. She asked if I changed medications, was in the sun, and what I might have done. She didn’t apologize, just commented that I should have seen someone other than my regular internal medicine doctor, because he doesn’t know enough about lasers. There was no warning given that burning is a risk to the procedure. I will never return again. People need to be warned that there is a risk of blistering burns to pixels. My doctor told me I may have lasting scars to the areas where scar tissue will form from the blisters and burns. I also learned that the only training they receive at Transcend is from the manufacturer of the laser equipment — no medical training whatsoever. Laurie told me this herself. I strongly advise others to only have such procedures done by medically trained professionals, and to investigate more than I did about possible negative outcomes. I think Laurie had a duty to inform me that there are possible dangers. She did not, and she did not apologize or to make it right in any way.

First, I need to start by saying, I am very sorry the other reviewer, Char, had an adverse reaction to her pixel laser skin treatment. I, too, have had the pixel procedure done, and it is generally understood going into the procedure that one will experience what is equivalent to a burn over the entire treated area. The amount of white sloughing skin that appeared over the course of the first several days following my procedure was more than I could have imagined, and had it not been for the reassurance of a friend who has had the pixel done before, I, too, would have been worried. Having said all of that, I was VERY happy with the results of my treatment.
Beyond that though, Laurie has always been not only very professional but kind and gracious and so very accommodating and helpful and has gone out of her way to consult with me on several occasions and usually has recommended more minimal treatments that I had been considering.
Laurie truly goes out of her way to make each of her clients feel truly special… both inside and out!

This place advertises super low prices for Botox, yet when you are there, you are not necessarily getting Botox! You may be getting the generic version of Botox. For some reason the injections I get from this place never last as long as the ones I get from higher priced /​more reputable places.
Also, you may have an appointment, but they do not seem to care about your time. No effort is made to honor a time commitment. Prepare to wait a very looong time. I always did.
I have had enough of the un-​professionalism of this place and am taking my business elsewhere.
