Awesome neighborhood gem! Situated right on Nantasket Ave, next to the beach. Family owned place with nice service and good food. Do not miss.

Was here with family after driving around Cohasset and Hull looking for a place for breakfast. After deciding on Corner Café we placed our order and waited. We then saw our server pick her teeth(or put her fingers into her mouth for some reason), and then with those same fingers take our toast out of the toaster, butter it, and bring it to our table. And this wasn’t the only time. Just typing this makes me want to throw up.

I’m really hesitant to give this place one star, because it is definitely a family-owned mom and pop shop. Unfortunately, the service, food, and atmosphere were just so terrible that I can’t justify giving it more than one. We came here on the morning of my birthday while staying in Hull. We were a table of 6 and there was one other family finishing up when we got there. A waitress promptly took our drink order and another waitress our food order. Within about five minutes two of our six plates came out. We sat there patiently waiting for the rest. In the meantime a table of three came in, placed their order and were served before the rest of our table. Two different waitresses came over to our table twice. Each time asking if we were waiting on anything(only two of us had food in front of us). At one point the waitress told us, «Your food will be out soon– your order got blown off.» At another point we were told that the head chef was out and the owner was on the grill. At another point we were told that our ticket got lost. We finally got the rest of our dishes about an hour after our order was given. The food was NOT good. One omelet had an egg-shell about a half-inch big in it. My scrambled eggs had scraps of ham in it from the grill and my peach french toast was soggy from the canned peach syrup. On top of the bad service and bad food, there was no air conditioning. The only person sweating more than us while waiting for our food was the chef cooking it(very gross). While the waitstaff apologized a few times for the wait and heat, they never offered us a free dish, discount, etc. I wish the best for Anastos and hope that they can turn this place around.

Visiting my friends in Hull, we found this interesting place. It’s a moderately sized diner. Staff is great, I asked for suggestions and our waitress launched into a fun description of everything. With hand gestures. And tangential stories. Luckily, we had time. At first look, they’ve got a typical breakfast menu(no frills) for dirt cheap prices. When you get it, you quickly see that you get a good amount of food. Definitely a good place to check out. –hot chocolate: tastes like a hot cocoa packet in hot water — nothing special. Whipped cream made it more fun. As whipped cream tends to do. –Stand-by: great taste, great for the price –Crab cake Oscar(mothers day special): they were fine, woulda liked a little more flavor and less fish taste. But smothered in a sunny side up egg helped. –Belgian waffles with fruit: solid

I have never had a meal less than superior at this place. They portions are large and price is incredibly affordable for what you are getting.
