Currently at this wannabe restaurant. Party of four. Only three sets of silverware. Refused to bring for fourth person. Expect to wait at least 15 minutes for chips and salsa. And if your lucky you might see a waitress for your drink order. Do NOT expect decent service or edible food. Had to send dish back twice for well done carne esada. Not even medium rare when brought back the second time.

The best Tex Mex I’ve experienced in the area, but still pretty average. Service is hit or miss but the happy hour is cheap and fajita meat is normally cooked well. The Wednesday fajita deal is great, especially for take-​out.

This place is the bees knees for good food and cheap drinks. Happy hour till 7 EVERYDAY! The food is just average/​typical texmex but it’s always good and served fast. Our regular servers Carlos and Anna are always recognize us and are great at their jobs.

I absolutely love the food here. It’s a great deal for happy hour. This was always my go-​to place for Mexican food, until I started hearing story after story from friends. One friend said they had a roach crawl out of her basket of chips, and the guy just brought her a new basket of chips and didn’t apologize for it. Another friend has a husband that got called to do electrical work or something there, and said the kitchen is DISGUSTING. He refuses to eat there anymore. Someone else found hair in their food. It seems like every time I turn around, there’s someone else saying they’ll never eat there again. It used to be SO good! Hopefully it gets cleaned up soon!

This is our place! We come here every Friday night and have never had a bad meal. The staff is excellent, the food is yummy, and our margaritas are always full! Love, love, love this place!!! Can’t imagine wrapping up a week anywhere else

My wife and I have been coming here every couple months for years. Now we try and make it every Friday night.
The food is great! My personal favorites are the carnitas and the enchiladas verdes. All of the employees are very nice and do a great job. Even when the place is packed, our drinks are always full and food comes out in under 15 minutes.
If you have not tried this place, you need to!

Came here for lunch, and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend, and will be back. I loved the guacamole and salsa. The taco carnitas was a plentiful helping and tasty down to the last bite I ordered two but one was plenty. GIVE IT A TRY! :-)

This review is a mix review because my husband absolutlely loves this place but it’s is just good to me. We love the food for the most part. The red salsa is not very good in my opinion but their salsa verde is very good. The tortillas are good and the they have some great drink specials. The atmosphere is nice but sometimes a little loud. My issue is that we have been coming here for about 3 years because my husband really likes this place, but the waiters never smile and they seem like they are always in a hurry. We come in all the time but we never get a «how are you? or glad you are here! We get nothing. The food may be good, but sometimes I rather go to a mediocre place where they are glad you are there, rather then feeling like they really don’t care if you come back. We actually had an incident that happened and we stopped going for a while. We came back and it was exactly the same thing. They seemed to not care that we came back. This is all my opinion in our experience but they may be different with you.

Read several positive reviews on this place while searching for a new Mexican restaurant in the Kingwood area, so gave it a try with my family. Definitely worth it! Everyone said their food was delicious. Margaritas were great, at a cheap price I might add. Happy Hour 2−7pm EVERYDAY. Can’t get any better than that. Giving 4 stars only because the temperature inside was on the warm side. It was like the AC wasn’t on at all. Even the wait staff were sweatin’ their butts off. Regardless, we’ll be back.

Service was horrible not very welcoming. The restaurant was empty and we came on Saturday during lunch time. More people at the bar then they were at the dinning room. Food was okay very greasy and salty, and the salsa was very tomato tasting. Food was quick again no one was there so that was expected. Better tex mex in the area for a total of 40 bucks.

Went for the first time, not good. Carnitas were very fatty, service was poor, and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Will stick with Chachis for Mexican food in Kingwood.

The food is great here and the prices are reasonable. Also, it has a good patio area where you can have a drink and enjoy a nice day. I’m not sure why folks give it a 3 out of 5, but it’s definitely a solid 4.

I really don’t understand how this place is only rated ³⁄₅.
What’s not to love? First and foremost, the food is very good. If I had to recommend anything in particular, I would have to say either the fajitas or the flautas (maybe the best tasting and largest flautas I’ve had from anywhere).
Secondly. the happy hour is awesome. Last time I visited happy hour run was running 4−7pm Monday-​Friday for drinks and several food items (including stuffed avocado!), and all day on drinks only on Saturdays. Yes, all day!
Bottom line– this is a great spot to satisfy that tex-​mex craving. Consistently good food and good margaritas all very reasonably priced makes this spot one of my favorite mexican restaurants in the area

Invest some money into either training your hostess staff or hiring someone more experienced than teenagers. We waited at the hostess stand with many other guests while two different «hostess» did not even say hello as they scurried by. After almost 10 minutes one of them asked for our name and when we asked how long the wait would be she looked at us with the «deer in the headlights» look and said she had no idea. From the faces of the wait staff it looked like everyone was miserable. We walked out and so did at least one other group of guests.

Love happy hour here. Best mango margaritas! BUT. last 2 times I’ve been here and sat out on patio, the waiter acted like it was a royal pain in his ass to be there. HUGE sigh when asked (after 45 minutes of waiting) if we could order.
All the rest of the staff was friendly & food & drink was good… just need to loose the one guy.

The best Mexican food and drink! We had enchildas, burritos, fajitas, and so on. They were great. The happy hour is the bomb! Go there!

Best «cheap» Tex-​Mex in Kingwood/​Atascocita area. Cold cervezas, good salsa, friendly service, and consistently good food at a friendly price.

Love the chips n salsa. Thursdays the 3 enchilada plate is $ 5.99! Best in the area. Happy hour is from 2 – 7

I come here for queso and happy hour. Food is ok, but happy hour is great.

Been here a few times and enjoyed it. We ordered the fajitas for two. Food came out and I had a huge hair in my beans which I noticed after it was in my mouth (yuck). I told the waiter and he was rude and just took my plate. Within minutes he brought back and another plate. Didn’t say a thing, not a apology or anything. Manager didn’t come by either so I suppose the waiter didn’t inform him. No discount or any compensation for this mishap.
Not sure if we will return… that’s too bad. If we do go back we will ask for another waiter if we are in this guy’s area
