In today’s economy it’s always good to have all the choices that you offer. I was in there Saturday night. I had a party. Our waitress kept our drinks full. Nice not to look for waitress. I’ve been coming here for quit sometime. There is a new night manager. Wow, I can really see the difference. Everyone is always moving. Miss Lorie made sure we were well taken care of. The staff is great and the way we were treated if you didn’t know others might of thought we were all family. Keep up the changes. No matter what me and my family love this place. Great for parties…

It’s Good But Makes Me Sick After I Eat It! And Too Full Before I Eat Most Of It! Over all Okay to me.

I’ve got to admit it, I’m kind of «over» this concept. There’s always cross over from ingredient buckets, and I always end up with one random weird thing in my bowl. That kind of freaks me out. I’ve asked for mine to be cooked separately before since I’m vegetarian, but it takes so much longer. I’ll just go to a regular Chinese restaurant or Pei Wei if I want a fusion concept.

Food was ok, but the management was very unprofessional. We were seated in front of the grill area and had to listen to the managers belittle the cooking staff the entire time we were there. If you need to address an issue with an employee, you do it in private or at least quietly, not so the entire restaurant can hear it! It was a pathetic excuse for a management team.

I haven’t even had the food yet… this is based off the customer service which is horrible. I’ve had better service at the worst drive thrus. Also they should try cleaning up and not leaving this place like a trash bin.

Excellent restaurant! I’ve dined at almost all Genghis Grill’s in the Houston area and I must say this is one of the best stores in Houston! I’ve been coming here for the past 3 months and it’s always very well maintained and clean. I come here with my family almost every Friday night. I’m sadden to see that my server Alex is no longer there, but it’s still a great location with the various new options on the line. It’s very well worth the price because there’s ALWAYS leftovers for the next day!

I love Genghis Grill, so it pains me to give the place 1star. The concept of this grill is to go through a cafeteria style line and pick out all of the food you want prepared and place it in a bowl. Next you choose your starch i.e. rice or noodles, hand your food to the chef’s, take a number, place it in the card holder at your table and wait for your food to arrive. Seems simple, right! As I was eating my food, I noticed a mushroom in my bowl which I didn’t place in there but it was fine. Next I noticed a shrimp, not cool as I am a vegetarian. When my waiter asked if everything was okay, I explained my issue and she gave me another bowl to go back and re-fix. This time I had to explain how I wanted my food prepared, separated from all the other meals and boxed to go. The wait for my second bowl seemed extremely long and I’m not sure why as the lunch rush had died down. Once I finally received my order it was fixed with the wrong rice and it was not in a to go container as I requested. How do you mess up someone’s order twice?

Wow. Genghis grill is really making a huge profit now. It cost us $ 50 to eat here. We could’ve had hibachi at a nice restaurant for that price, with real shrimp rather than popcorn shrimp. It’s a RIP off. They’ve raised their prices a lot. Additionally, use more oil and stir the food more often. Dry burnt food is gross! This restaurant was FILTHY. We came at 5 pm. There was standing water on the floor that remained there for almost an hour until a waitress decided to clean it. Tables were not cleaned off. How do you screw up and burn edamame??? Ask genghis. Yes, I said burned. Thankfully you don’t eat the shell. There were tons of wait staff and our waitress was nice. Guess we won’t be dining here again. Sad. We used to enjoy this place. Ps… THERESNODIFFERENCEBETWEEN A REGULARANDLARGEBOWL! save your money and get a regular.

We’ve eaten at the woodlands location several times and have always loved it. The same cannot be said for the Humble location. The place was a mess. Raw meat was spilled all over the selection area. None of the kitchen staff made any attempt to clean it up. It took us almost 20 minutes to get thru the line because the cooks were so slow. After waiting another 25 mins for our food to finally arrived, the orders were wrong. For some reason the cook decided to add a scrambled egg to my food. When I asked for the manager he seemed more interested if the other ingredients in the bowl was correct. As this was now 9pm I didn’t want to wait another 30 mins for them to re cook my meal. The manager said he wouldn’t charge for the meal but wanted me to pay for my ice tea. What a joke. Save yourself the trouble and go to the Woodlands location

I used to order take-out at this restaurant at least once a week, or every two weeks. I stopped going because I have to deal with the bartenders attitude every time I walk in there. I’m not sure if she just hates or job, or is just mad at the world but I can never get a smile out of her or hospitable service. The servers on the other hand are great. I now make the driver to The Woodlands location or the GG by my home just to not deal with her.

My appreciation to coupons which allow me to check out a place without paying full price! On this particular occasion, I decided to cash in my free birthday bowl. Upon entering, the first thing you run into is a greeter’s stand. Although I appreciate being greeted, three people saying,“Welcome to Genghis Grill!” at the top of their lungs took me by surprise, especially since I didn’t notice them due to the way the door opens up. The first thing you see is the bar before you see the greeter’s stand(whose genius idea was that)? Immediately I was asked if I was dining in or doing take out. When I responded that I was doing to go, I was told to order at the bar. This is where I began to become confused. I was asked what size bowl I was ordering and then given a bill. She didn’t clearly communicate if I was to pay at the bar or at a nearby location between the bar and stir fry station. After about a minute or two, I just asked her if I was to pay at the bar… then I handed her my birthday bowl certificate. She went back to the register and rang the order up again. She told me I was good and went about my way to get my bowl. I haven’t been to Genghis Grill in ages, so I appreciated the signs all around the walls that told you what you do before you take your bowl to the stir fry chef. Only thing is that the the beginning of the station is the farthest away from the door. With me stopping at the bar first, I had to walk through the station backwards to get to step 1 of my bowl creation. Luckily, there wasn’t a line. The one thing that made me leery was all the meat choices sitting out without a cover. Bacteria, germs.. .germy people… none of them are my favorite to be around, but I pushed it out of my mind and forged ahead building my bowl with my proteins, seasoning, and then my veggies. It was a little exciting to see how my choices infused together would create(fingers crossed) and edible bowl. I think the biggest factor is making sure you 1) don’t put too much seasoning in the bowl, and 2) reading about which sauce goes best with the protein you choose. After stuffing my bowl to capacity, the sous chef pleasantly greeted me and asked me what if i wanted rice, chow mein, etc for the foundation of the bowl. I decided on fried rice(hadn’t had any in a while). I was asked to write my name on a min whiteboard menu and would be called when my order was ready. Mind you, the place wasn’t stacked with customers, but there was a manageable crowd of people. Since I hadn’t had stir fry in while, I won’t make comments about the wait, but what I did observe that there were quite a few waiters without tables just walking around but not checking on customers. There was only one waitress who came by and asked me if I was waiting for a take out order since I had been sitting at a table for awhile. I’m use to being offered some sort of beverage when one waits for an order for a while, but that didn’t happen, so I asked the young lady who inquired about my wait for a glass of water. She obliged and at least I was being hydrated while I waited. The biggest no no was seeing someone’s take out order being carried around because their name had been inadvertently erased off the whiteboard. Since they couldn’t see the name on the whiteboard, several waiters walked around with the food asking people if it was their order. One even opened it to show me what was inside so I could identify my order – even after I said it wasn’t! I felt sorry for that person whose food was being carried around and sniffed. Luckily, My food was checked on by the same waitress that began my order and checked on me while I waited for my order. I had just received my bowl which comes with a clear container top for one to see what you ordered. She informed me that she noticed I had been waiting for awhile so she went to check on my order. Didn’t get her name, but she was more professional and considerate than the twelve people floating around doing nothing but taking up space and breathing air – with the exception of the chefs. I like the concept of Genghis Grill, but the meat just sitting out is just questionable to me. Additionally, there were too many people doing nothing to make the dining experience spectacular, or at least welcoming. Only because of the sole waitress behind the bar do I give this place three stars. Sorry Genghis – your concept is not Genuis!

No more bottomless bowls. The chain discontinued them. Also bowls are more expensive. Very disappointed I can no longer pay 10 $ to have as many bowls as I want. I now have to pay 14 $ for 1 bowl at dinner time. Very disappointing.

I’ve been here for lunch three times so far. You select your own ingredients so it’s really up to you how good your food is. The key is to put your vegetables on the bottom and pack them down with the meat. All times the food has been hot, delicious and cooked to perfection. A+

I have been here multiple times and have enjoyed each experience. I love the flavors of the food and crave it after I leave. The chicken is so good and the brown rice is great too. My kids enjoy it too, which is always a bonus! Making your bowl is so fun!

I only came here the first time for a fundraiser because I wasn’t sure of what it was exactly! The food is actually really good and it’s fun making up your own special dish! For less calories I checked out their website and found a Mongolian Spaghetti which was really good and made me feel like less of a fatty for eating out! The service is okay, when you are there for a fundraiser, they neglect to make sure to account for that and that is not cool with me. If I am coming in for a fundraiser, pay attention waitstaff!

My fiancé and I came here after meeting with our photographer that would be shooting our engagement pictures. It was an odd experience that lasted way too long and I was so hungry. We knew that Genghis would be a great stop to enjoy some good food and talk about what just happened. Delicious food and quick! Great staff and attentive. We both did the stir fry bowls. Both came out delicious and I was so full afterwards. It hit the spot.
