Whataburger

Whataburger is a Texas tradition. If you’ve never been to Whataburger, shame on you. If you’re new to Texas, hurry up and get to one. I’m not going to belabor the point about a fast food place. This was my first time to this specific location. i will say the employees here were very friendly and got my food out to me rather quickly. As usual, I was assigned a tent number and my food was brought to me. All in all, I was pleased.
The one thing that makes this location less than accessible is the fact that it is not easy to get to from FM 1960. Most folks would probably drive south on ⁵⁹⁄₆₉ and do a u-​turn and come back to the north on the feeder road. I’m the king of backroads to I tried to find a shortcut from the east side of 59 via 1960. I did it but it wasn’t straight forward. For the non-​adventurous, stick to the u-​turn.

Whataburger — is a great restaurant. I’m still partial to In-​and-​out being from California but Whataburger is good. What I really enjoy here is the pancake breakfast, no other in the Houston area. Their pancake breakfast is better than any other fast food restaurant and for an excellent price right over $ 5! I recommend giving it a try if you like pancakes.

Almost had five stars. The BOB was really good and fresh. I hate fast food coffee but this one is tolerable. The restaurant is clean, however, I have not been in the restrooms.
The missing star. I walked in and no one was at the counter, meanwhile the drive thru worker just stared at me. She was taling to the cook about an order. I stood there 3 or 4 minutes waiting on service when the drive thru worker finally spoke up and told me that she would have to take my order at the drive thru. Shouldn’t she have said this when I walked in? I have watched others walk in and go through the same scenario. When the morning crew showed up, there was a small tiff taking place.
Bad morning? I’ll be back when I’m out this way.

Just stopped for breakfast after driving from Lufkin Texas… food was fresh. But little bit too toasted bread for my taste. However women at the register was great. the restroom needs a new toilet seat, it’s small but clean. Thank you. But the reason we stopped here instead of dennys was the cinnamon rolls… but this location was out… so disappointed in that. It was the reason I stopped here spent aprox 15.00. For breakfast was the cinnamon rolls… but other than the no cinnamon rolls. Boohoo… lol but next time I guess I will make some at home

This place is terrible and slow. The only reason I gave them an extra star is because their host, Tye, was pretty cool and hot.

The disembodied voice patient and very pleasant, as my family of four had trouble making up our minds what to get. The wait in line was a little longer than than expected, but we got the meal as ordered.
The shakes were good, however the food was just under par. For the money, I am going to a premium burger place and order to go.

Disappointing is the best word. It wasn’t horrible, but the reviews and what I’ve heard online really made this chain sound like it shouldn’t be missed. I’d have been fine missing it. Like I said, it wasn’t horrible, but the Bacon Cheese Whataburger and the onion rings were unremarkable. At least I can check this off my list of fast good joints I needed to try.
