Okay, so we were patrons of Lake Side when it was open years ago — Their pizza was amazing and the service was great, so you could imagine our delight when we saw that they were reopening. Unfortunately, those good feelings are gone now that we’ve done business with them on 3 separate occasions… Our first time ordering from them, we called in an order for two pizzas. When I went to pick them up, they weren’t ready yet so we waited an additional 10 minutes. After that, we realized they only took cash and they didn’t have enough cash in their register to give a woman change who was paying with a $ 50 bill. After that debacle, our pizzas were ready and off we went, only to arrive home and realize they gave us the wrong kind of pizza :( Our second time there we actually ate in the restaurant. I can’t begin to tell you everything that was off about our experience, but I’ll sum it up: Filthy table, 10 minute wait for a waitress(while we were the only customers), 15 minute wait to take ½ our order(since one of my daughters was in the bathroom when the waitress came to take the order), by the time the waitress returned to get the rest of the order a different person brought out my other daughters food, but not mine, 20 more minutes to get my and my other daughters food and no sign of a waitress for the rest of our visit. We never got a check and I just went up to the register and told them we were ready to go. Awful. Since I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, we waited a few months and returned just this past Sunday. Instead of eating in, we drove there, went in to order, then waited in the car for the pizza to be ready. They said it would be 35 minutes, so we waited about 30, then went in to see how things were going. The person at the register said it would only be about 5 more minutes, so we sat down to wait in the dining room. 20(yes, TWENTY) minutes later a woman came out of the kitchen and asked what we were waiting for. When I told her what our order was, she seemed ticked and I overheard her talking to the man who took our order asking him if he had a copy of the ticket and so on and so forth… Turns out they never even made one of our pizzas. Another 20 minutes and all of our order was ready. There were no apologies, no offer for a discount, nothing. I guess I could have been rude right back to them or yelled or demanded something, but I just smiled and said thank you. Getting angry wasn’t going to get me the wasted hour of my life back and I did end up having a pleasant conversation with an old man in the dining room who was waiting for an order of mozzarella sticks for over an hour, so that was kind of nice. Hopefully they will realize that their customers are dwindling and they need a better system, but for now, we won’t be back :(
