Beyond happy with my first (and definitely not last) visit to Hudson E Hudson! As a newbie to the area, I’ve been searching for a new salon to call home. Larissa was my stylist (balayage and cut) and she is the best! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she executed it PERFECTLY. She was so sweet, took her time, explained the entire process and styling steps to me, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my hair before leaving. I’ve received so many compliments on my hair since, and I can’t wait to visit the salon again!

Hudson stylist was the best thing that happened to my hair in ages. Hudson hair cut was amazing! Now I can wash, towel dry, little moose, let dry. Then a little combing and I m on my way. I couldn’t be happier. My husband really likes the way my hair looks now.

Larissa has been doing my hair for a year now. She alway does a fantastic job, from hair color, cut, balayage and keratin hair treatment.

This is the best salon! I lived in the Southpark area of Charlotte, surrounded by salons, and gladly made the trip to Huntersville to get my hair cut and colored at Hudson E Hudson.
First off, the salon is beautiful and extremely clean. My stylist, Larissa, offered me a beverage immediately and I enjoyed some white wine while we discussed what I wanted for my hair. She offered great suggestions and helped me decide on what exactly to do to my hair. When she was done with my hair, everyone in the salon was ooing and ahhing over the color job Larissa pulled off. I literally couldn’t believe how good it looked. I have jet black hair and I wanted a subtle ombré (sounds terrifying, I know) but she made it look perfect. That was almost three years ago and Larissa is the only person I let touch my hair!

Always the best experience. Ashlee gives me the best cut, the best color, and the best hair I have ever had. The atmosphere, customer experience, and customer service is excellent! It’s always a treat to come to Hudson E Hudson after a work day!

Ashlee M. does a great job! She listened to what I was saying and then made an honest recommendation, which I listened to and she was right! On my third visit we did a Keratin treatment and it turned out great! I love, love it! I look forward to my next visit in 8 weeks, for my standard cut and color touch up. Thanks Ashlee!

After moving here to NC in 2004 I spent a year trying to find a really good stylist. It wasn’t easy! Finally someone told me about Hudson and that he was voted Charlottes top stylist. Well needless to say I’ve loved my experience with Hudson. I’ve been getting my haircut every 2 weeks since then and I won’t see anyone else. He difinatly earned the title Best Stylist in Charlotte. I’d highly recommend giving Hudson a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Today was my first visit to Hudson e. Hudson. I could not be happier with my new look! Ashlee really listened to my wishes and did above and beyond for me! With the added bonus of the Unilocal coupon, I am sold! Perfect customer service and such a great atmosphere!

I have been a client for years. Hudson has been THE best stylist I have ever had. I expect that with him. The thing that is most impressive is the staff and stylists that he surrounds himself with. Each of them put the client first and make them feel special. I have never seen this kind of sustained service excellence with any other company.
Jeremy, the Salon Manager, is one of my absolute favorites. He takes care of me, my husband, and my son. Life happens, appointments change, illnesses occur… Jeremy has personal service and a dedication to Hudson’s vision of an amazing client experience.
You will never find a better stylist in Hudson. But take a look at the entire salon. You will absolutely never regret putting your money and faith in them.
Absolute best salon!

I found my new stylist, Courtney didn’t let me chop my hair off when I wanted to. We worked together to find the best look for me. My husband And all three of my kids loved my ‘new’ look. It’s just what I needed and will be easy for me to handle. The big review comes next week at a family «reunion» cruise. Still, I will be back :-) thank you Courtney.

Very stylish salon, friendly staff. Jennifer gave me a beautiful EASY cut for this busy low maintenance Mom of two. Literally I can get out of bed, pat my hair or run my fingers through and I’m good. With curly hair, I’ve never been able to go a second day with the curls.
My daughter loved her cut and her stylist. She was friendly and sweet. I gave a 4 star review because of her cut though. It could have been better.
I will definitely go back and recommend this salon.

This place is great. I can’t say enough about how they do their best to accommodate me and my crazy schedule. Hudson, the owner, Jeremy the GM and Larissa, the artist who does my hair are fantastic. I definitely recommend them and I already have had friends go and they love it too.

I haven’t written a Unilocal review in quite awhile and I’m going to just come out say this… I had a pretty BAD experience. If you’re looking for a factory chop shop, then this is the place. I just moved to the area and based on the Unilocal reviews, I was relieved that I could find a local hairstylist to go to instead of having to drive to South Charlotte, but apparently that’s just what I should have done.
The salon is beautiful no doubt, but I’m not paying for that. I’m paying for the cut. And lets face it, the personality of the hair stylist as well. His snotty debonair attitude certainly set the tone. So at first I think, ok… this guy thinks he’s all that, so he’s gotta be good at cutting hair. I mean he wouldn’t be my first choice, but I would at least leave feeling happy with a great cut.
First, he asked me if he could razor my hair. Ugh, no… if you looked at it, it’s fine to begin with and short. That damages my hair more than anything and any good stylist would know that. Then I looked to my side and saw that he had 3 other clients that he’s also having to assist. What?! Where are the other stylists… I see ONE making an up-​do, but is it really just him? No wonder he’s rushing my hair cut and even ends up making it crooked in the back, which I later pointed out after I was handed the mirror. Not only that, but he really does not like cutting with scissors, because towards the end he used a razor to texture my short hair. If it was in a couple of places I really wouldn’t mind, but he razored the hell out of my hair. There’s something about that seat, that’s almost like being in a doctors office. You trust them, even though you should probably question them a little more.
Lastly, I left with a ballooned out Golden Girls hair do, not hair cool. I couldn’t wait to rush home and wash all the volume out.
Also, the shampoo assistant, Hudson and the other stylist (who was also working the front desk) kept trying to sell me Bumble n Bumble products. Back off guys!
You know, all would have been forgiven if he actually realized his mistake on making my hair crooked. He just kept saying it’s the angle at which I’m looking at it. So everyone else who has seen my hair is wrong? Also, using the razor when I asked him not to, but because he needed to rush me out, it was the quickest way to texturize it I guess.
Don’t be fooled by the glitz and glamour when you walk in. And yes, I know it’s just hair, but ladies you know it’s not;) I’m not trying to be really harsh on this business by giving it a 1 star, because I realize that this is just MY experience, but may be helpful for those that want an edgy cut that’s also healthy for your hair.

I’m new to the area and chose this salon for my cut and highlights after a lot of research and agonizing. Jenn was my stylist and I was not disappointed! During my consultation, she knew exactly what I was trying to describe. Also, one of the things I hate about getting my hair done is the time commitment. I have really thick hair and it usually takes forever. Jenn took her time, did a really good job, was super professional, and had me in and out in less than 90 minutes, which is half the time it took at my old salon! The salon itself was very clean and nice, and everyone was friendly. Used the Unilocal deal, and got some free Bumble & bumble samples, too! I’ll definitely be back.

I used the Unilocal Deal for this salon and was very impressed. Jen did my hair and she did a fabulous job. I had an ombré and cut. The color looks awesome and the cut was really great as well. Not only did she cut and style it, she instructed me as to how to get this style on my own. The best part was, she was done within 1.5 hours! I will definitely be back!

I went and saw Jen after moving from Atlanta and trying out a previous salon from Unilocal reviews and they didn’t quite do what I wanted them too. Super thrilled that my hair will be looking good for the beach and will continue to go, maybe even go more blonde!!! Check them out! They’re a Bumble & bumble salon too so feels even more like home!

I’m conflicted about this review.
I had two services done — haircut and brow wax. I’ve fallen out of love with my old stylist thanks to a wonky color job. I went back once to get it fixed, but alas, still not happy. So the search for a new salon began. I stumbled upon Hudson E Hudson thanks to Unilocal.
The ambiance is excellent. I also love that you can book online.
Where things went sideways was my brow wax. Jen did both my wax and my cut. She did the wax while shampooing my hair. She didn’t give me a mirror after the wax so when I went back to her station for the cut the brows appeared to look good (based on review from two feet away from the mirror). She proceeded to do the cut and I’m loving it. It’s the inverted bob that my old stylist struggled to get past that first magical cut (see my review of Carmen Carmen). Anywho, the cut is awesome. I was pleased.
I even booked a hair color apt on my way out. All was right with the world… until I got into my car and actually got a chance to look up close at my brows. They seriously didn’t look touched. They were the same as when I walked in. They weren’t clean and neat at.all. I was very bummed. So bummed that I debated going back in t complain, but I did not.
Brow wax = 2 stars, at least I didn’t get burned or otherwise injured
Hair cut = 4 stars
Average = 3 stars. I’m really debating if I am going to keep going back the brows were that bad. She didn’t mess them up, but I paid 15 bucks and look as bushy as when I went in. I guess that was my fault for not insist on a mirror to check out the brows — but when I got into my car, wooh baby. Back to Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta. Boo, they are very pricey, but you can’t argue with the shaping they do.

This past weekend I had a Christmas party, and I just needed a little pep in my step, so I made an apt. at Hudson E Hudson to get my hair blown out and add some style for the night! Laura really was open to anything, and she was so helpful. Laura made it clear that she was NOT going to let me leave unhappy, which is such a relief when you try out a new salon. I absolutely rec commend them for a blow out/​style (PS, the price is 25 bucks, can’t go wrong!) I think I will be trying our this salon again for my next cut :)
