Must be nice. Yep, with hours like these, it must be nice(unless you need the labor hours). I love great art and will often travel vast distances simply to see the best of it(i.e., the Louvre in Paris, the Tate in London). But I get slippery wet over good surf art. A painted wave(with or without dolphins), a carved surfboard on a scaled down Pipeline tube or photographs of water forming great cascading breakers, any of these things done with skill can make me feel it, the raw excitement, the pure joy, the indescribable sensation of the ride… makes me feel wet all over. I’ve been passing this surf art shop for years but never took the time to drop in. There was always something else going on. The surf was up, I had to be somewhere, I was too tired, the boyfriend was whispering in my ear… whatever it was, I never took the time to stop. Until today. I was done with surfing the pier, I was still amped and had nowhere else to be right at the moment. I pulled over, slipped on my sandals and shades, grabbed my purse and locked the car. I walked to the front door and, this being a normal Wednesday business week, was surprised to read the business hours of Friday & Sat 1 p.m.-9 p.m., Sunday 1 – 6 p.m., or by appointment. Hurumpf! Well lah-di-dah…it must be nice. Yep, it must be real nice. So I guess I’ll just have to get wet somewhere else for now(and I don’t need to make an appointment for that.) P. S., I’m going to catch ‘em open sometime, you know I will. And when I do, I hope to make you feel it. I hope my review gets you so wet you’ll need a towel.
