Been to my fair share of Boudin’s and this location definitely makes the rest look bad. I ordered a chicken caesar salad and literally got a couple pieces of chicken. Little to no croutons, and to top it all off they gave me ranch dressing instead of caesar! I ordered it to go and was greatly disappointed when I got home. Also received attitude from their employees when asking questions. Definitely not going back again.

We ordered take out. I ordered the California Baguette Burger. The menu stated it had smashed avocado on it. The menu did not state it was brown smashed avocado. Gross! Thank goodness it was only a teaspoon of it in the burger, because I scrapped it off. I ended throwing half of it away because it made me sick to my stomach.

This place is not well managed. The tables are always dirty and it’s not kept up. As I sit here at 4:00, a non peak time, 7 vacant tables are in need of being cleaned. The food is marginal. For the price, it’s a joke. My daughter likes coming here. Each time we do, its the same. This is our last visit. The creepy cashier with a hygiene issue did not help. The only time to come here is to order bread and go.

Same bad review. I responded to your message below and gave you my contact to see what there is more to the customer standards that you refer to, yet no response. So pls dont let people think you reply to follow up when there’s really no follow through. Girl bye.

Went to Huntington Beach Boudin. If you don’t wish to be skimped out of a true bread bowl of soup, DONTGO! They found a way to bait & switch their customers by cutting the top off about an inch-deep, allowing for only an inch of soup in the bowl. You don’t realize it until you start eating, noticing that you don’t have enough soup for your bread. SOSKIMPY!!! Come on, guys… keep it consistent with how it’s done in San Francisco and South Coast Plaza! RIPOFF!

Oooooooooh Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah! I stumbled upon this little gem when driving back from the mall. I had no idea there was a Boudin anywhere close other than in Disneyland. Knowing how amazing the one in Disneyland is, I had to give this one a try and see how it measured up. Walked in and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. The patio was very inviting, however I decided to sit inside since it was a little bit warm outside. I went with a vegetarian sandwich and a clam chowder bread bowl. The sandwich was great and the clam chowder really good. The sour dough bread bowl tasted good, a little harder than I would have liked– it was hard to chew and cut pieces off. But overall everything was tasty and I would recommend coming back. It is a close second to Disney’s Boudin, without having to pay admission into the park lol So this was a great find when I want my sourdough bread bowl fix!

Have always had an excellent experience at our local Boudin SF. Quite often my wife and I would order the Cobb Salad and some Clam Chowder. Called today to make the order and was told they no longer have the Cobb Salad(corporate decision to not have anymore). Being somewhat disappointed I told them I would call back when we decide what we want. Yes, creatures of habit I guess, but the Cobb was delicious. We mixed it up and I got another salad with some chowder. The staff, and the Manager(Sandy) were very apologetic about no longer offering the Cobb Salad. She gave me a great deal on our order since they no longer had what we were used to and wanted to make sure we remained customers. Looking at some of their«new salads» on the way out, might just have to get out of the creature of habit mode. We will remain customers, and just wanted to thank Sandy and the staff for being very professional and courteous.

The restaurant was empty, service was friendly but slow & all I ordered was Butternut Squash Kid’s meal. I got home to find there was no bread… really? yep. Uuugh. Nothing like going to a bread place and not getting any bread.. Per Rachel, I messaged my phone # but never got a call or another correspondence. Oh well, guess I’ll keep using Corner Bakery for my personal; work related orders & catering needs.

I’ve been to the Boudin SF in San Francisco but this one is located in Huntington Beach. I wasn’t blown away the first time I tried it in SF but then again I only tried the clam chowder. Well, it was a cold day and craved clam chowder so I thought I’d give it a try here. Was this chowder any better? No, not really but it wasn’t that bad either. A bit runny for my liking and it also lacked clams. Basically what most chowders lack, CLAMS! It’s been a long time since I’ve had a clam chowder thats really blown me away. For me… it would have to be a small place in Morrow Bay or my favorite, The Swan Oyster Depot in San Francisco. It’s a must if you haven’t tried it. I suppose if it’s sour dough bread you’re looking for, this might be your place. It seems like that’s what they specialize in.

Passing one of their locations, I always stop in for some bread. Love the service here, they are very helpful and know their products. Prices are a bit high, but given the quality and that the bread keeps well, i think it is fair, the desserts are a bit pricey and I don’t love them quite as much, but I am obsessed with their sourdough loaves as well as baguettes. Clean restaurant with plenty of seating, not too busy when I went either. Worth stopping by!

Sonny wanted to go to Boudin so off we went. I’ve dined at the SF and Costa Mesa locations before but this was my first time at the HB local. The reason I agreed to have lunch at Boudin was because on Sunday’s they have split pea soup which I’ve never tried. Our lunch order was: (1) Split Pea Soup in the Bread Bowl and Half of a Turkey Avocado Sandwich My split pea soup was served hot and very hearty. The soup was well seasoned and it had the right amount of ham taste. The bread it was served in was wonderful as usual. My turkey avocado sandwich which consisted of turkey breast, havarti cheese, mayo, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes on multigrain bread was all fresh and was well assembled. (2) Toasted Chicken Club with Chips and a cup of Clam Chowder Sonny boy’s sandwich consisted of chicken breast, applewood smoked bacon, swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, roma tomatoes, mayo, toasted sliced sourdough and served with a bag of chips. This is his sandwich at Boudins and he said everything was fresh and very tasty. He enjoyed Boudin’s famous clam chowder as usual. (3) The Original Baguette Burger with a Cup of Beef Chili Hubby’s burger was garnished with cheddar cheese & red onions sharp cheddar, lettuce, roma tomatoes, red onion, garlic-buttered sourdough baguette. He really enjoyed it because it was served on Boudin’s bread. I had a bite and it was delish! The beef chili was served hot with ground beef, red pinto beans and garnished with sharp cheddar cheese and red onions. Hubby said it was good. I had a taste and thought it was well seasoned and yummy.

You know when a new business opens up near your home and you’re just giddy about it? That’s how I felt about Boudin’s on Beach Blvd. this location is so convenient, has upfront parking for pick up orders and the ambience it beautiful, but the best part of this place is the customer service. Not all the staff is awesome, but the majority are and have helped me with tons of pick up orders and my breads. I know the brand doesn’t need my good review, but I don’t care! Boudin’s, you have a recipe for success, I’ll be a repeat customer!

I have always enjoyed the bread here and this day was spot on as usual. I joined their loyalty club where you get a free loaf of bread every month with any purchase. Their sourdough bread is always the bomb!!! It comes in many different sizes and shapes. They even do special breads for many of the holidays. The cookies and pastries are always good and their soups and sandwiches are always spot on. I ordered a pastry, a chocolate filled twist. The clerk said that this is one of their top sellers. It was absolutely amazing with a crunchy outer texture, moist and tender inside, filled with delicious chocolate. I ordered their large sourdough loaf and had it sliced. I also got one of their chocolate cup cookies. The bakery items are always spot on. I will be returning very soon to get my next sourdough loaf.

Boyfriend and I were in the mood for some soup so we decided to grab some hearty clam chowder from boudin. I didn’t even know this location existed… I’ve been always going to the south coast location. Anyway, I got a chicken salad sandwich with some avocado(which the cashier DIDNOT mention was a dollar extra) and some mixed greens with unpleasant tasting dressing that came with it. The cashier did not let me know that I could make it a combo with half a sandwich and a bigger portion of side soup. Instead, my small sized soup was charged an extra $ 3. Come on boudin, help your customers save some money and suggest the specials! Eh, chicken salad sandwich was alright here. Clam chowder never fails to disappoint though. Friendly service.

I wish I could give this place a 3.5. I went here with my sister. I got the Roasted butternut squash and kale salad and a small side of New England clam chowder. She got clam chowder and Mac n cheese for her son. The food was VERY delicious. I loved my salad because it was an explosion of flavors. I crave it sometimes. The reason I give it a 3 or hypothetical 3.5 is because I think it’s too expensive for what it is. It’s just like Panera Bread, and that’s also why I don’t go to Panera Bread. If i want to make my own sandwich I could make it at home and not pay $ 10 for one from here. BUT the food was good. I also wish they had healthier options. I eat pretty healthy and it was difficult for me to choose something based on the nutrition facts. I may or may not go here again. The food was very tasty though.

Great place to get your café fix. Boudin is in the same arena as Panera Bread and Corner Bakery, but definitely holds it’s own when it comes to the grilled cheese selection. I ordered the infamous grilled cheese with brie, apples, and fig jam. Boy was it delicious. They toast their bread perfectly with just the right amount of crisp. The cheese is melted just right where it’s not too sticky and not solid. The cheese is just right. Boudin flows with creativity when it comes to their grilled cheese sandwich ingredients. I appreciate their knack for igniting that spark in a foodie’s palette. Also, if you love their bread, sign up for their rewards. You get a free loaf each month. If you don’t want the original sourdough, feel free to upgrade to the multigrain or rye for an additional upgrade fee. Altogether, their white chocolate macadamia nut cookie is delicious along with their snickerdoodle to complete your meal with dessert :)

If I could describe my self in one word it would be CARB-O-VORE! Yeah I’m THAT girl that fills up on free bread and asks for seconds. It used to be I had to drive over the Bay Bridge into the Real City(San Francisco) to get this stuff at the mother bakery on the Wharf. HELLA good sh*t ! But Yayee for progress! Now these little stores have popped all over! Boudin serves up my favorite sourdough, light and crispy crunchy on the outside, soft chewy tangy center! Must try the clam chowder in bread bowl, definitely the BESTEVER! Throw on some EXTRA butter to the bread dipped in the creamy rich chowder and dash of extra pepper YUM! I’m also a big fan of the roast beef sandwich when I’m trying to avoid cardiovascular disease. They used to have this kick *ss horseradish mayo but changed the options to pesto roast beef. I also recommend substituting sliced sourdough for the usual baguette unless you want to fight to eat the sandwich and be left with sore spots on your hard palette. The side salad vinaigrette is delicious although the size of the salad has become significantly smaller over the years. Join the Loyalty Program and receive a free 1 lb loaf monthly no purchase required. Make sure if your with kids that they get their free bread fish or turtle to chew on!

This Boudin SF is located on the corner of Main and Ellis in Huntington Beach. Recently went after church services, the place was empty. I appreciate the cleanliness and the lighting to actually be able to see your food. I had the Tomato Basque soup, and my friend had the squash soup which was serviced in the trademark Boudin bowl. Soup was tasty, but a bit overpriced. I did not join the rewards club, but I understand that it entitles you to a free loaf of bread based on your monthly purchase.
