They are NOT closed despite the site saying they are. Unilocal sales people: STOP bothering the owners of the shop w buying ads! THey don’t wanna buy your product! Anyway, the staff here is very nice and chilled.

This place is a dive. Chairs and couches are trashed… looks like a frat house. There are things stacked everywhere… literally if you can stack or pile something somewhere, they’ve piled or stack things. Cigar selection is mediocre and the guy working here didn’t know anything about any of the cigars he had in stock. Guys are sleeping on the couches and one guy is even snoring. I won’t be coming back here the next time I’m in town.

Came here with a group of my coworkers. I have mixed feelings about this place. This is not your typical hookah lounge. It is very small, dirty, and plain. It definitely does not have the night life scene to it. There’s no music at all either. However, it is a good place if you just want to be alone with friends. Imagine it like a mini kickback in your friends garage. Pro: You can also bring your own alcohol! Con: Double charged us without even letting us know. We had to call back a few days later once we figured out that they charged both of my coworkers instead of just one for the same thing.

I used to host hookah at my place with the guys, kickbacks, parties, etc. Usually now, I am going to the other hookah bars just get out of the house. This place reminds me of home. Its homey! Take off your jacket or even pants if you want! That is the type of laid back atmosphere at this place. –WHATSHOULD I ORDER– 1) The place uses Tangiers Tobacco, not my first choice of tobacco to use, but it acceptable. You can try Kashmir Peach mixed with Passion Fruit. 2) If you are not a hookah fan, they do sell cigars at this place and you can smoke in the hookah lounge area as well. –WHATISTHEPRICE– Expect to spend about $ 15 — $ 20 per person depending what you get here. $ 15 for a hookah is a price you cant beat if you are sensitive on price. Source: Met the owner 3 years ago at his old place while waiting for traffic to die down. Been coming here ever since.

I’ve left a couple of reviews of this place and have always been a fan! The place had been moved a couple times once from Main St. Then to Beach blvd & Ellis now it’s permanent location is Beach & Garfield! It’s owned by Vance(who has taken over the cigar portion of the lounge located on the second floor.) Now Erica & Pavo(owners of Cherry Bomb Hookah Bar located in Redondo Beach) manage the hookah section of the Bar! The cigar selection is great & Vance knows what he’s talking about when it come to high class cigars! The hookah section is awesome! It was great before & it’s great now! Laid back, come in & study, relax, or hangout with a couple friend or a large group you can! Large selection of movies to watch(DVDs, Netflix, & Apple TV is at the tip of your fingers) & friendly people. The tobacco selection is FABULOUS!!! Top grade, tasty shisha that will make you come back for more and the hookahs are well kept that are cleaned after every session. Again this is mainly a place to kick back. It’s not a club scene like other hookah bars! I’ve been going since the first location & will keep going! I alway recommend this place to everyone!

This place reminds me of a show I never even watched, beavis and butthead. The negative reviews seem pretty consistent in their criticism, and I’ll join in the chorus. This is more of a buddy club place where all the potheads and high school dropouts(if our educational system wasn’t shit) hang out. You walk in, and get blank stares from a more pathetic looking modern day breakfast club. I said hi to be nice, and got nothing in return. I was only trying to find their employee. I also didn’t see any cigars. Oh wait, I seem to have woken someone up. Some creepy asian who looked like I interrupted his ‘intimate time’ tells me the cigars are what’s in the cases behind me. Selection and quality — crap. Obviously he buys only what’s on sale or clearance from wholesale distributors, like gas stations. I’ve actually seen gas stations with better selections. I just walked out having wasted so much energy on a business that belongs in garden grove. Oh, and another example of Unilocal over rating a business in oc. Unilocal ratings are useless in oc.

I’ve read some of the negative reviews of this place and they really give it a bad rap to be quite honest I think that most of them were from the old place which was very run down due to the whole mall being in the process of getting demolished and Vance looking for a place to move the lounge to. Vance has since moved the lounge to Garfield and Beach to a very nice location with new furniture and brand new TV’s as well He has also beefed up the cigar selection to quite a nice variety of different brands of cigars and there is a special lounge upstairs just for people to smoke cigars and no hookah is allowed up there If you want to actually start smoking cigars and you are interested in learning about them, Vance is a virtual encyclopedia of knowledge on them and he will be more than happy to share that knowledge with you, as well as sell you a cigar that fits your tastes and budget too As far as hookah goes it’s supposed to be like a living room that’s the point of the whole place It’s supposed to be a place where people come in and chill with one another and smoke hookah and cigars So if you’re looking for a night club then go somewhere else that’s not the idea behind Bulldog And yes people know each other there because they are there a lot chilling, smoking and having a good time So if you come in and feel out of place just say hi to the person sitting next to you and make a new friend Or watch a movie with every one he’s always buying new DVD’s and the video library is quite large and the picture quality on the new TV is amazing Finally come in a just chill you will be happy that you did

This is the weirdest hookah lounge I’ve ever been to. Felt more like a friends living room than a place of business, and I don’t mean that in a good way. Walked in and immediately felt like an «outsider», there was no way to distinguish the one employee, that was smoking in front of the lagre tv with the volume way too loud, from the customers. The customers that came in while we were there must be regulars or employees, they just walked straight to the back to prep their own hookah. If you’re expecting to get amazing customer service here, you’re sorely mistaken. The customer service here was so bad, the guy working made me feel like I was wrong for asking for extra coals. And that Unilocal check-in offer came in real handy!(sarcasm) When we tried to use it we were told that it’s not valid after 6pm, which the offer doesn’t say. Then we were told«I didn’t know the owner was doing that.» The ambiance of this place is beyond bizarre, If I wanted to smoke hookah in a living room watching tv, I would’ve stayed home. The lone bright spot of Bulldog was the Cactus Cooler flavor, unfortunately it’s not enough to make me want to come back to experience the awkwardness.

Moved 2 streets down from previous location due to the demolishing of the parking lot. Now on Beach & Garfield next to Monkey Café. Soft Grand Opening was last week & Grand Opening on 7⁄1. Technically everything’s all set up with a few things that need to be done here & there but totally operational! Stop by say hi & chill after a long day!

Bulldog’s is locally owned and most patrons are regulars. There are comfy(albeit questionable) couches everywhere and the owner’s always got one or two of his friendly pups roaming about. My favorite is this little collie whose name currently escapes me. She’s a sweetheart! My favorite is the Cactus Cooler blend. This is a great place to come in and lounge about with a few friends. You can pick from their massive collection of DVDs & Blu-Rays. Don’t be shy — they’ll be more than happy to place it for you! They’ll even sit in the large area with you and crack little jokes here and there. This is altogether a very laid back place, but if you’re not open minded or prefer a super clean spot to chill I’d go somewhere else. If you buy a hookah from Bulldog’s you’ll receive a discount on all refills for forever! Cool, huh?

If you like cleanliness, and fresh surroundings — STAYAWAY. If you can get past the fact that this place is a literal filthy dump, with broken down furniture, and dogs running around — and can just hang out like you are at a buddies garage — this is your place! People are friendly — dogs are sometimes friendly. A very laid back place to hide from the world. His DVD collection is amazing, and it’s nice to watch something and relax with your your big girl panties on — no kids — THAT makes it super.

What a neat little place… I love it for the originality and the comforting/chill sense that it gives. Right when you walk it, you will feel as if you just stepped into one of your buddies’ place. You walk pass the people sitting in the«living room» into the kitchen, where you will pay for your hookah at a very low price. After paying at the«kitchen counter,» you take a seat on the couches that is placed in front of the TV. There is a wide selection of DVDs to choose from, but I am sure that the owner would be very unhappy with your choice… When I went, I picked Sherlock Holmes but they said that they have played it 10 times within that week… You may also bring your own laptop to fully enjoy the image of being at your friend’s house. There are also some drinks and snacks for a very low price — granted, they would be free if you were actually at your friend’s(if not, get new ones!). A great place to go to if you just want to escape the typical lounge/club scene. This place is mellow, comfortable, and you can easily make friends here since there are a lot of regulars. If not, just try to make friends with the owner’s dogs. They’re adorable! Miniature version of Lassie! Even if you don’t smoke, just come with a couple of friends who do, and enjoy the ambiance. Great place to catch up and relax.

I’ve been here a couple times with a few friends. It’s a great place to just kick back, lounge, and catch up. My friends used to come here pretty often and have a good relationship with the owner. The place is in a little plaza by a gas station. Honestly, the first time I went there it was a little hard for me to find. The parking lot is sufficient for the stores there, but if you can’t find a spot, just park right up next to the building. Inside is dimly lit and there are various areas to lounge. Everything is packed in pretty tight and it’s almost as if you’re at a friend’s living room. It’s pretty cozy, but not the cleanest looking place. I like it because it has an at home feel to me. Each area has a TV where, at least when I’ve gone, they place movies. It looks like they have a pretty decent collection so I’m sure whatever you request they’ll have. We always smoke hookah whenever we come over. My friend asks for«something good» whenever we go and the owner gives us a special blend. They get special charcoal blends made so you get a good variety of flavors. We usually kick it in the TV area and play cards and chat it up. It’s good for days when you just can’t figure out anything to do, or just want to be lazy.

I’ll deff be going here more often. My friend brought me here on a rainy day. Inside is super cozy, there’s couches and TVs with movies playing. I instantly felt comfortable. There are a few different areas you can chill in and TONS of movies to pick from. The vibes are really mellow and chill, it’s like walking inside your house and being with your family. It’s not loud and annoying like other hookah bars that play crappy super loud music and have strobe lights goin off. It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy yourself. I don’t see myself ever going to another hookah bar in HB. It honstly felt like I was sitting at home with my friends, lounging around on the couch, watching a movie and smoking some hookah. Only downer was they didn’t have plastic pieces for the hose and no bubbles :(I like blowing bubbles with my hookah: P

Let me first start by saying I don’t give many 1 reviews. I’ve done over 80 Unilocal reviews and only given out maybe 51’s, so I’m generally a positive reviewer. This place is just that bad. First of all, they don’t give you a protective mouthpiece. This is BASICHYGIENE. That’s pretty disgusting if you expect customers to have direct mouth contact to the pipe. Just not cool. Second, the place looks run down, the couch’s are kind of dirty, and there’s even pets walking around. Normally I love pets to death but isn’t this a place of business? Imagine if you were at a restaurant and suddenly a dog starts to lick your dates toes. I am a person who enjoys hole in the wall type of small businesses(I hate going to chains) but ugh, this place takes it too far. Most of the crowd/customers here were young or still in highschool. If you are a looking for a real hookah lounge I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I’m flabbergasted by the 5 reviews. Be weary! On the plus side, the workers are really nice people. They were friendly. They aren’t bad people, they just don’t run a good hookah joint. Maybe I’m biased because I’m Middle Eastern, but I expect better places.

Things look kind of old in there, but I was introduced to this place through friends from OC Moto. They do bike nights here and just gatherings. It’s a weekly thing for them, and I don’t smoke, but I just drop by to hang out and chit-chat. It’s a fun environment where people just get to know each other… the workers are really friendly too, which is nice! +1 Star: crowd is friendly and workers are friendly… plus there’s TV +1 Star: Owner has a sweet NSX from Tokyo Drift parked in front +1 Star: Sells snacks like chocolate +1 Star: $ 10 hookah –1 Star: Kinda small area with not much room for big groups

don’t really know how to grade this spot, if your looking for hookah this would be the spot but definitely not for the cigars. crowd is mostly younger crowd, cigars in the back in cabinets no humidor selection it is not that great when in there was a group talking about WOW(world of warcraft) i good size group of 8 folks talking bout mages, casters and several other things about how to take down a boss of a clan or something seems to be more of chill place for the younger crowd of gamers alot of laptops, bout 4 tvs i remember seeing hookahs smokers all over no cigar smokers in the area. price $$ inexpensive ambiance ** bigger venue tight inside room to walk 4 couches some lazy boys seats outside also service * seems

Don’t expect some fancy lounge. It appears as a basic storefront in a strip mall when you pull up and turns into someone’s garage when you walk inside. There are seats everywhere for you to lounge around and enjoy the hookah while watching a random movie playing on the flat-screen or perhaps listening to music streaming from your iPod/iPhone over the speakers. It’s $ 10 for 1.5 hours, a pipe to be shared between two. Fancier flavors cost a little more. There’s also a wall of cigars up in the back. They were open on Christmas. Merry Christmas to us! From what I have heard, the guy running the shop will take a few hours that day to go have dinner with his family, but then he’ll be right back. Five stars.
