Egg Roll King

Ordered delivery — both the person on the phone and the delivery Person were super nice! Food was delivered hot and exactly when they said it would be! It’s the best Chinese food I’ve had in hb, only gave 4 stars because I’ve had slightly better further away.
My thoughts on the food:
— won Ton soup is delicious. Has chicken, shrimp, lots of veggies. Super tasty!
— pork egg rolls were ok, will prob skip next time. Just a little soggy.
— chicken «delicious» was DELICIOUS! It’s steamed chicken and veggies with a yummy brown sauce on the side.
— chicken chow mein was good: chicken is dark meat btw
— egg fried rice was spectacular. Definitely get this!
This will be our go to Chinese in hb now for sure!

Came here for dinner, take out. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Offered me water and fried noodles while I waited for my food. House chicken, tasted delicious. Will be coming back.

I love Chinese food. Living here in HB has been hard without a decent Chinese restaurant. Eggroll King fulfilled my wishes. Hot, fresh, tasty and… healthy. Really… Orange chicken the best. Moo shu pork. best I’ve had… Hot sour soup… I will never go elsewhere… Aside from downtown Chinatown. LA… no need!

Ordered delivery for the first time today. The waiter on the phone was easy to deal with. After taking our order (garlic chicken/​sweet & sour chicken), and address, he said it would be about 45 minutes to an hour. Totally expected since we are ordering at peak dinner time. Well it arrived in 25 minutes and had a couple extra egg rolls in there to top it off. Didn’t find one thing wrong with either meal and the portions were large enough to leave leftovers. We’ll be back again and a little more adventurous with our order.

The BEST food! Arrives fast and is served nice and hot. Tom is the nicest person! My sister and I love going here!

Amazing service, delicious food, and sweet atmosphere. I was here last night and I was so pleased with everything! Our server, presumably the owner as well, was extremely sweet and most accommodating. The appetizers may not have been the best, but the entrees were amazing. Chicken chow mein, house chicken, cashew chicken, and kung pao chicken were all crowd pleasers. The place is a little small, but very nicely decorated nonetheless. You have to try this place!

Egg Roll King was an unexpected delight. After glancing over the popular reviews previous customers had left, it was a safe bet for Chinese take-​out.
Don’t let the «hole-​in-​the-​wall» atmosphere scare you as the food and service was very friendly and inviting topped off with a healthy Money Tree plant and a salt water fish tank.
While ordering sesame chicken and a side of Veggie Chow Mien, the customer service was super. The gentlemen behind the counter not only fully acknowledged a meat-​free Chow Mien, he even offered to ask if the chicken broth would be necessary. The sesame chicken came with an order of steamed rice and was delightful as was the Veggie Chow Mien. The gentleman politely identified the order as take-​out, completing the meal promptly and thanking us for our patience and hospitality.
Highly suggest this place for anyone in the Costa Mesa/​Huntington Beach area for fairly priced, quickly, and tasty food!

Came to this place a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious! My boyfriend and I both loved it!!! The owner was so sweet… I told him it was our first time there and he said «please if anything is wrong or you don’t like it let us know and we will fix it.» I really appreciated his customer service… Hard to find good service these days. We had been looking for a good Chinese restaurant and this one is a little farther then a lot of other ones closer to our house… But worth the extra drive… All the other ones were gross! We will coming back and regulars for sure!!! The food really is fantastic

This is no joke, Tommy’s House Chicken is THE BOMB! Recommended as his fav and my craving. Once you go House Chicken… Well you know the rest!

Typically Chinese food is not my go-​to, but DAMN this place is scrumptious!
The hot and sour soup is not too spicy, but quite flavorful and a bit addicting because it’s so good. The honey walnut shrimp is pretty good too along with their egg fried rice.
I mainly recommend going here for their hot and sour soup.

I crave Chinese food often and try it at different places and never do I seem to get quite the taste and quality I’m looking for. I Unilocaled Chinese food delivery seeing as I’m new to area and found a few places. This was also offered delivery and had over 400 reviews so I thought what the heck let’s give it a try. When we called delivery was about 40 minutes so we opted to pick it up. We tried the Mongolian beef, Kung pao chick3n, special fried rice, paper wrapped chicken and chicken like mein, we were starving ! Everything was AMAZING!!! this is now our GO TO PLACE!!! yay! Finally an awesome place with a great menu and good value, large portions!

This place is a hole in the wall gem! It’s small and only about 8 tables in here so I saw a lot of people come in to pick up to-​go orders. Tom the manager is so sweet! Great service and AMAZING food! The honey walnut shrimp and cream cheese wontons are my favorites ! They make your food fresh right after you order it. Pricing is good too! We spent $ 42 and had 3 apps and 2 items and we still had left overs !!! This place is a must :)

I’ve been eating here for years and have never had a complaint until today. I ordered two to go lunches’ chic and veggies and Szechwan Shrimp. The place was busy with a lunch crowd and the order taker advised of a 20 minute wait. I said I’d wait, no problem. I patiently waited for 20 minutes exactly and the food was brought out on time. I left and drove home only to discover there was no Szechwan Shrimp but a order of what appeared to be Szechwan Chicken? No shrimp in the mix? I called to advise of their error and the young man who answered and took my complaint put me on hold. When he came back I again explained my problem with the order to wit he said,“if you come back we’ll give you one for free!” I told him that my point was not to get another FREE anything and it was too far and late to return as by now everyone had eaten. Then he said, «Sorry about that!»
It isn’t like I had placed a complex order with Special instructions etc. I was very disappointed with the non-​challant service and so what attitude shown to a customer. Maybe if there is a next time I’ll remind them to be more careful.

I ate here two nights ago and this place was sooooo amazing. They delivered to us which was the only thing that was annoying because it took 45 minutes when we were less than a mile away. We should have just picked up.
We got the house special chicken which was absolutely delicious!!! I loved it! The portion was ginormous which I think is the absolute best!!! Sauce was on point and I was so happy about it.
We also got the Mongolian beef which made me so happy! I loved it so much!
I am definitely going to be eating here at least once every couple of weeks! I recommend highly!

Best Chinese food in Huntington Beach. Hands down. The cashier told me that all the food is made immediately after you order it, nothing was was dry or old. Everything looked and tasted fresh! And there prices are affordable; $ 5.95 for a lunch special, which was more than enough food. And to add the staff is extremely nice and informative if you have a question!
This definitely just became my go-​to regular Chinese spot!

I am a local from HB. Was craving Chinese or thai and stumbled across this place on Unilocal.Not sure why I have never been here when I have lived in this area my entire life. Came in to place a to go order. The owner was super friendly. He took my order and I told him i wasnt sure if i wanted house chicken or cashew chicken. He recommended the house but said I could try it before I left. He said if it wasn’t to my liking then I could order something else. He brought me some crunchy noodles, a water, and a plate & fork (for my taste test) while I waited… I tasted it and it was delicious! Definitely recommend it to everyone! And I will for sure be back! They also deliver for free, which is awesome, but I may just go in just so I can see the nice owner.

DE-​LICIOUS chinese food! I’ve been looking for a good spot to get some great chinese food in the area, and i’ve finally found it! They have an amazing House Chicken that reminds me of a bbq chicken plate I used to get in my old neighborhood and it was SOOO good. White meat only, no fat. just yummy easy chicken. I could not stop eating it. Great portions too! Perfect for sharing.
We also tried the fried rice and cream cheese wontons… both also yummy!
It’s a small place in a shopping center and had it not been for all the great Unilocal reviews I probably wouldn’t have tried it but I’m so glad I did. I’ll definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out because they deliver and had great reviews on Unilocal.I called in my order and the guy was really nice and said it’d be an hour for delivery which was fine because we were just lounging at home being lazy. After about an half hour the food was already being delivered! Super quick. The food was super yummy! We got two lunch specials (includes meat, rice, egg rolls, and a fried wanton) and wanton soup for only 20 bucks!
Overall:
Delivery– fast but need to spend $ 20 min and live within 4 miles
Food– really good and a good amount!

When I moved to HB, I knew I had to look for my «go to» place to eat when I’m either:
A) working all day and need a quick meal
B) broke because that’s what all college students are.
This place is awesome! The food is delicious and the prices are so affordable. And they give you a generous amount of food too! The service is excellent, Tom the owner is so friendly and sweet! I would definitely give this place a try if you’re in the mood for fresh and yummy «American-​ized» Chinese food. I recommend trying the Salt and Pepper chicken or fish.
