I booked a facial for Facials by Leslie Inside Milan Salon & Spa a week in advance for August 7, 2014 at 11:30am. I called the number on the voucher and the woman that answered had an Asian accent and had a very soft-spoken voice. Before the call ended I asked, «Who am I speaking with?» She answered, «Leslie.» When I arrived for my appointment, the person that introduced herself to me as «Leslie» is African American with no Asian accent and has a very strong voice. I believe this establishment has had different so-called estheticians pose as «Leslie.» The fake esthetician that performed my facial obviously did not know what she was doing or how to perform a proper facial; uneducated and untrained. It felt like she was practicing on me. With over 100 Groupons sold one would think this fake esthetician would have had enough«practice» even if one-third of the Groupons were redeemed… I also see that this Groupon is suddenly no longer available! She wrapped the headband over my entire forehead! I had to adjust it myself and the Velcro got caught in my hair. She did not use steam at the beginning of the facial to open pores but in the middle of the facial. Her touch was very weak like she was afraid or uncomfortable touching skin. She had no technique throughout the entire facial. She got cleanser all up in my nose. When removing the cleanser she got water and product in my mouth — I had to hold my saliva for the rest of the facial so I would not swallow the product. In the middle of the facial, after cleansing and exfoliating and removal, she put a warm towel on my face and after a few minutes the towel cooled off and she just left it on my face for like 15 minutes and then put the steam on but the steam did not get to my face because the towel covered it; steam only got on my nose and mouth and I told her it was hard to breathe but she did nothing but just sat there for 15 minutes listening to messages on her phone and texting(when she left the room she left her phone and it was on the texting screen). She had the steam one foot away from my face which was too close, it’s normally two to three feet away. So after a loooong time I told her the towel feels heavy so she finally removed it. While the towel was on my face, someone from the salon did not knock and just opened the door and walked in and was in the room during my facial looking for stuff in the cabinet. When the towel was removed the steam only got on one side of my face and not the other. At the end she obviously ran out of time so when she applied the mask she instantly removed the mask without waiting for the mask to sit on the skin. When she took off the headband, again, the Velcro got caught in my hair and she kept pulling at it until it came off and a clump of my hair went with it. When she was done she did not leave the room right away but stayed for five minutes and was cleaning the supplies. When I was getting dressed and cleaning my nose and spitting in the sink she kept opening the door without knocking and barging into the room. No etiquette, no common sense. This is not even a half-ass facial. They are operating illegally. Hours after this fake facial I now have breakouts and red bumps on my nose and forehead and my skin on cheeks look crêpe-like/wrinkly with enlarged pores. I contacted Groupon and was promptly refunded.

I received a facial from Leslie a week ago and I absolutely loved it! Now if your looking for a plain European facial, look elsewhere. Leslie does her signature facial which is awesome and unique. She’s very pleasant and courteous. I will definitely be back…
