We have bought at least five bikes from this Jax over the years. They do a great job helping you find the perfect new bike.
Now I know that they are also awesome at restoring your tired bikes as well. I’m so stoked on my updated 10 year old bike now! Thanks Jax! Many bike shops would tell you to scrap the ten year old mountain bike «dinosaur» and buy a new one, but Jax made my mountain baby like new. Andrew did a fabulous job installing a new suspension fork, shifters, brakes, chain, and cables. It’s like a new bike and rides like a dream! Couldn’t be more pleased. Exceeded my expectations.

Waaaay overpriced… similar to most bike shops around in the OC though. Just bought 2 pairs of v-​brake pads and it cost over $ 25!!!
Same pads online are $ 5 a pair. Just another bike shop for people who don’t bike. First and last time Jax gets my business.

Popped in today to find spin class shoes. It’s a new activity for me, the team of Aubrey and Mel were fantastic! They were both so helpful and accommodating. Mel was especially knowledgeable and had a lot of great information to share, so much so I called a friend who came over and bought a complete set up too!

Ordered a handbrake for my bike from here. Over 5 weeks ago,. After calling them 3 times and not recieving callbacks. I went in to get a refund on the Order. Having received a break cable and calipers. I had been waiting for the handbrake. Was only refunded the price of the handbrake, and given a store credit.
Unacceptable, the reason I hadn’t returned within 30 days was cuz I was waiting for a part that I was promised within a week. Bad service bad policies. Whatever happened to customer service?

Three employees on a Sunday. No customers, no damn service! No greet, just bye! Jerks! You just lost a customer and got a bad review!

Five stars all the way! Decided to have JAX assemble a geared bike we had shipped to us. The customer service was excellent at JAX and the pricing is much lower than Performance Bicycles in Fountain Valley, they were charging $ 30 bucks more to assemble the same bike. I enjoyed the costumer service far more at JAX from my experience. Matt in the service department passionately helped us with all our problems and got our bike ready for the road. When we left we were very satisfied with our experience at JAX. I will definitely be back to JAX next time we need any service work to be done.

Took my bike in for a tune up. After I received it back i took it for a ride and it never worked or rode so nice, even when new! Thanks Jax.

Had a great experience. i had trouble trying to find the right road bike for me. I Have been searching through many different road bike brands. Im normally a Giant brand guy, but i was very convinced in getting the trek emonda thanks to Matt and Andrew. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable. Great customer service! they wont try to sell you extra stuff they that you don’t need. I tend to be very indecisive and have called them frequently with questions. But every time I call them, they have always been very accommodating and welcoming. The bike was stiff, fast, and very comfortable just as they both described it. I wanted to ride so badly after purchasing the bike at the parking lot but unfortunately it was too hot. After receiving the bike, you get fitted by at the same time without the need of making another appointment. They are patient and are very thorough when it comes to the fitting. i recommend Andrew for the fitting because he explains everything in great detail as he adjusts ur bike. If you guys are interested in getting a bike, talk to Matt or Andrew.

Stand up guys around here! previously had them install rear racks to each of my hybrids and one basket. went in today for an adjustment for my gear shifter. I was expecting a full «tune up» but the GM spun the chain through each gear and added a bit of oil while tightening the cable and viola! all is well! no charge and my bike rides like new. thank you!

This morning I was so pleased with Jax that I decided to break my boycott and post this review.
Brought my bike in. The tech stopped what he was doing and inflated the tires, fixed a brake pad and realigned the front wheel.
Everyone working in the shop came by and asked me about my bike.
Total time including small talk (though I’m shy at first with people so I didn’t carry the conversation long), about 5 – 10 minutes.
Great service.
This place mostly sells beach cruisers, roadie bikes (yuck) and low end mountain bikes.
Even though other bike stores and other Jax locations sell more downhill bike stuff. I’ll buy whatever I can here.

I so appreciate Jax because whatever the struggle even a simple flat the employees help you with a smile. I rode from Orange, since I’m still a new rider, did not think to put air in my tires which made my bike hard to ride. Matt the manager helped me with my flat tire and explained what to do next time. I asked him what the charge is and he air is free! Customer service all the way,

These people apparently don’t like to answer their phone. I’m calling from Vegas thinking that a coastal bike shop would be an authority on beach cruiser parts, but in many times trying to call, I can’t get past the high-​pitched beep that occurs after several unanswered rings. Okay… I’ll try someone else.

Always the best of service. Nuff said.

Jax pulls it off once again! I love this place. So nice to rush a work order just for me to have my bike in time for a last minute trip up north! Consistency isn’t so easy to find these days — Jax is exceptional though!

I wouldn’t refer my worst enemy to this place. I was wrongly charged by an arrogant, ill-​mannered, uninformed employee who claims to be the boss. If so, definitely steer clear of here and seek out a professional establishment run by real business people. The transaction at hand was not about the dollar amount. The amount was minimal. It was about the principle. Which makes it a terrible shame that over a pittance, this hot-​headed, foolish, short-​sided youngster will loose hundreds of dollars immediately and a lifetime of future of business.
I have never been inclined to write a poor review in my life. But this deserves my first.

These guys saved my butt. I was on a tour along the Pacific Coast, and I was on my way out of Huntington Beach when I noticed a couple of broken spokes. I fully expected to be knocked way off schedule, but they were able to squeeze me in and get the wheel fixed up in 20 minutes. Then, I was on my way! Thanks guys!!!

Had a broken frame on my bike. Matt and his crew got me back on the road right away! Thank you!

Bought 4 more bikes. Amanda needed a biker beach cruiser type and Kylie was ready for a big girl bike. She loves it! Nice people pretty helpful. Don’t always have what we need and sometimes they don’t think to offer additional help (like another solution to when a fender broke) but over all good place

Wow. What can I say. Awful service. You literally have to beg someone to help you spent your money. Walked in with a plan to spend up to $ 2,000 on a road bike and they just looked around like idiots. This is exactly why jax gets awful ratings. I’d rather not give them any business. They make you put down 30% just to transfer a bike from another store and see if you’d like to even buy it. Super bad business. We also called ahead and that didn’t even matter bc they took one we were interested in off the floor.
Remember when you buy your bike you also want good service and a good community. This place does not offer that.
My boyfriend also got his fork replaced here during the trek recall and they totally underestimated they time it would take and he relied on his bike to get to work. Go somewhere else.

Five (5) star service and staff. Recently took our 14 year old tandem (purchased elsewhere) in for tires, tubes and a basic tune up/​adjustment. Work was performed quickly and reasonably priced when you consider all of the time that is required to dial in the adjustments, etc.
Although I’ve never purchased a new bike here I’ve bought countless accessories and had services performed on several occasions.
They even priced matched somethings that I was considering buying online… but didn’t want to wait for delivery.
