Kim Doan, MD – Advanced Eyecare of Orange County

Do not make an appointment with this doctor! My husband went to her and made a return appointment an she has cancelled and moved his appointment 4 times! Who does that?! Since we’re in an HMO that means, since he refuses to be treated like this by such an unprofessional office, getting another referral and waiting for authorization. Please don’t be treated like this don’t set an appointment only to be cancelled on her whim or desire «to leave early for a convention” – seriously, one of her excuses!

Waited an hour for my appointment and I also came 15 minutes early like they requested. I finally walked out.

Dr. Doan is a horrible practitioner. I would recommend avoiding her medical clinic for treatment. She left my mother who is a senior citizen untreated with a painful eye condition because she did not know how to properly bill her insurance provider for treatment. Simply put, she and her office staff we’re too clueless to understand how to bill for specific procedures. More disturbing is how belligerent they became when we tried to explain the error in their billing. I have since aligned Mom with an eye care specialist who has performed the needed surgery on her eyes. They knew how to bill and code for the procedure properly without making it a hassle. Most important of all is that Mom’s new eye doctor has displayed foremost a focus on providing her with the best medical care and taking her out of the agonizing pain Dr. Doan left her in. Dr. Doan is focused on her billing and not much else. Apparently she took her medical oath at her accountant’s office.
