Sadly… They closed. Mr. Petes Grill is the new restaurant in the Space. Opened April 12014

Olive Tree Grill is basically the reverse of one of those burger joints that serves all American food, and has a random 80’s «gyros» sign, indicating they offer a single Greek item. They specialize in all the Greek favorites — spanakopita, souvlaki, gyros — and also offer burgers and American breakfast as a cool little twist. I ordered the gyro sandwich with fries and a drink. The sandwich was rather robust, stuffed with a very generous portion of gyro meat and layered with cool tzatziki, slivered onions, and tomato slices. The meat had an outstanding crispy sear around the edges, yet it was still juicy and glistening with a light layer of grease. The seasoning used on the meat was delicious; I’m not very well versed in Greek spices, but it had that very savory, herby taste I’m looking for in a good gyro. In other words, you wouldn’t confuse this meat for fajitas or teriyaki, it’s decidedly Greek tasting. The heaping portion of fries was one shade above golden brown, and every fry was crispy and hot, with medium thickness. The only downside to the fries was that they charge extra for a cup of tzatziki… when I pay for a meal I expect any condiments to come with it. Overall, a solid spot with hearty portions and a convenient drive thru. In the words of the Terminator, I’ll be back.

Noticed this place was fairly new and decided to come here one day when we were too lazy to cook dinner. We looked online to see what they had to offer and boy were we excited! I couldn’t wait to get my hands wrapped around a Gyro! When I went to go order for us, there was a drive-thu(way cool!) and there was no line. It seemed pretty slow in the actual restaurant, but then again it was pretty late. When I went to the speaker to order, the cashier was very patient and answered all my questions. When I asked for a particular entrée that we had seen online that I wasn’t seeing on the menu board, she explained to me that their menu had changed a while back. That was a little frustrating because then I had to take forever to decide what to get because we were pretty unprepared. The actual menu board had sloppy strike-out marks and write-overs. It did not look professional at all for something that is fairly new. The wait was a couple of minutes and the receipt had a section for a tip? I thought tips were mostly for dine-in only? The actual food itself was amazing! Super garlicy though; potent enough to wipe out any vampires within a 20 mile radius! My gyro came with fries and it was a pretty big portion. The sauces that came within the gyro were very flavorful and very very yummy! Overall: I will definitely come back although I did not like the menu board at all nor did I like the fact that the online menu is way outdated… really got our hopes up for certain things.

Great food, great value. Great first impression. I was skeptical at first as I was walking in– you know, another Greek place that serves everything… well, I was pleasantly pleased with their friendly staff. The gyro meat tasted great .cut a little thicker than normal, so came out hot and juicy. Service to the end was great. Can’t wait to try the crème brûlée desert next time

A bit confused about all the negative reviews, but I’m glad I ignored them! Went through the drive-thru and ordered the gyros sandwich which comes with a choice of fries, rice or salad. I went with the salad and their house dressing, they also have ranch and other dressings as well. The total came out to $ 7.51 which is not bad because from other greek places it’s usually almost $ 7 for just the sandwich, without a side. By the time I got back to work, the sandwich was still really warm, which was great. It had tomatoes and sliced white onions in it as well. The pita was nice and soft and the gyros was flavorful. The gyros was cut thicker than I’m used to, but it didn’t bother me too much. Nice veggie to meat ration. I asked for the tzatziki sauce on the side and they gave a generous portion. The sauce was missing a sour element to it and I didn’t noticed til afterwards, that it was full of garlic. I had a strong garlic aftertaste in my mouth after I was done eating. The salad was okay, it was a spring mix with tomatoes, carrots and cucumbers. I thought it was a bit weird that they put the feta cheese in the dressing instead of on the salad. Their house dressing just tasted like oil to me though, even though I shook it as instructed on the lid. Overall, I would definitely come back again! Love the idea of a drive-thru greek place, their employees were nice and food was decently priced and delicious!

My third time here and all I can say is that these guys are consistent both in their quality and service. If you are looking for a quality meal on fast food row, look for the the diamond in the rough parked between KFC and Arby’s. Glad I found this place. Their hummus is great and their gyros are delicious. Looking to try breakfast here in the near future.

I was in a rush and didn’t have time to prepare lunch but I also didn’t want greasy fast food, so Olive Tree Grill seemed like the right compromise for my hunger situation. Drive-thru access for Greek food seems interesting. Glancing over the menu I quickly get this is not just Greek food; they also serve like diner food, Omelets, Pancakes, Burgers, and Salads. That must be the reason they call it «American Greek» I was more interested in the Greek than American so for 7 bucks I ordered the Gyro sandwich. It comes with choice of salad, fries or rice, I went for the salad. The Gyro meat was plentiful and wrapped in fresh pita bread with tomatoes, red onion and topped with tzatziki sauce. The meat was a little dry for me, kinda too crispy on the edges. The tzatziki sauce had a strong garlic flavor. I enjoy garlic so it worked for me. The salad was fresh with mixed green lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and carrots. The dressing was generous and I didn’t need to ask for more. Placing my order was a little confusing, the order-taker had some difficulty hearing me even though I was using my «loud voice», but we finally got it figured out. The wait in line was not bad. Ordering in the Drive-thru and paying with a credit card, they give you the receipt to review the price and also add a tip if you like, prior to completing the transaction. The prices are a few bucks higher than fast food places, but that’s what I expected, since this isn’t your typical fast food restaurant. It was my first time at Olive Tree Grill and overall the food was satisfying.

I drove by this place on the way to work and when I got off I decided to stop but didn’t order actual food I got the baklava which was good, it came in a clear container and was good. Other then that I wouldn’t go back.

Really wanted this to work out. Always give the new place a shot. I ignored the reviews. Unfortunately the food is just … Eh. Gyro meat was good and at least really off a spit. Pita and fries were decent. Rice was just white rice, waste of space. Salads decent. Service was great. Chicken was also just above good. Not great. So, you won’t starve if you come here but I wouldn’t go out of way. And as others stated it’s a bit overpriced.

Previous reviews confuse me but the place is good, food is tasty, prices are fair… says American Greek grill so why people are surprised that American food is offered kind of doesn’t make sense to me. People are really nice and my service was great… jad the gyro and was very satisfied. Will be back… The Baklava was great as well! I say give it a try and form your own opinion. If I lived closer I would use the drive thru regularly…

Usually when I see enough poor reviews of a place, I steer clear. But curiosity got the best of me on this one. ;) I ordered the Gyro with Fries. Came out to just about $ 8.00. Definitely overpriced. PROS: The blonde lady at the counter was really friendly. The guy who looked like he may be the owner or manager gave me a sample of the Gyro meat. Gyro meat was good. Flavorful and juicy… just the way I like my meat. :P The fries were good, although I don’t recommend ordering them if you get it to go, by the time I got back to my office, they weren’t as crisp as the few I tried in the car. CONS: Priced about higher than it should be. The Tzatziki sauce had no kick to it. It was missing lemon or Mediterranean herbs or something. I also think it should be ONTHESIDE when it’s ordered to-go. By the time I got to eat, the yogurt had started to separate. No feta cheese. If it come with it, mine didn’t have it. White Onions are flavorless, soft and sometimes bitter. It would be better with crisp red onions. Would I go back? Maybe on a Tuesday when the«tacos» are only a buck. I wonder why they call it Olive Tree Grill? The menu is greek, burgers and breakfast. Should’ve just rolled with an American grill vibe and people probably wouldn’t be expecting amazing Greek food. ;)

I was excited to try this place because it was advertised as a Greek place It’s actually an American diner that sells breakfast all day, burgers and fries in addition to some Greek dishes The Greek salad was ok I got the skordalia: mashed potato garlic dip which was alright. Was a lot of garlic and tahini They didn’t have any vegetarian sandwiches. Which was really weird. No falafels here! They offered me a veggie burger but I politely declined. Fries are usually great at a Greek restaurant but these were mediocre I wish they had more veggie friendly items to choose from

Wish i could give only half a star. I really wanted this place to be great, but was disappointed. Any mom and pop restaurant that has a drive thru is a plus for its customers, but the Greek food is so bland and sad. Their original menu after only a few weeks is already been modified to even less Greek items. When the name is called Olive Tree Grill and there is more American breakfast items than Greek food, it’s very confusing. I wouldn’t be so disappointed if the breakfast foods were available all day and could be something I could order, but they’re not. Maybe pass yourselves off as a diner with a drive-thru that happens to have a few«Greek» items instead.

Second time here and it tasted just as I remember from the previous trip so I know it wasn’t a fluke… The Gyro is awesome! The meat was well seasoned and tender yet, the tips were crispy. Delicious! I agree with other posts that the bread is amazingly soft. The bread was not hard like other places. Personal preference: rice over fries … But I still liked the fries to be honest, can’t go wrong with either choices. Rice is yummy, I’m normally not a fan of eating rice but from this place, I ate all of it. Portion sizes will definitely fill you up and leave you to crave it even more. Here is a picture of my plate after the meal. Sorry, about the before picture but I was too excited to start eating. My apologies… Will become a regular at this place…

Even though we had originally decided to order different things, the boyfriend and I both ended up getting the Gyro with fries to go. The fries were nothing special — just your average fast food like type — but the Gyro was delicious! So delicious in fact I wish I had ordered two for myself! Haha Will definitely be coming back for more: D

My girlfriend and I absolutely love greek food… We were beyond excited to see a Greek food place less than a block from the house. We went on opening day for lunch at like 11:15 there was maybe 5 people in the place, they were out of spanokapita, ketchup, mac and cheese, zucchini, and countless other things, which we were told after we paid… So $ 15 later we had 2 plates of fries and tzatiki sauce and a soda. Try 2 – 5 we attempted to get spanokapita. They were out each time. So I left each time. So frustrating. Being vegetarian, the gyro is out. So much for Greek food. I didn’t want a burger, or a salad that’s tastier at norms. Today marks the 5th try of trying to order Greek food at this place, and finally got spanokapita, tzatiki, feta fries. Spanokapita was flat, bland, soggy. Tzatiki was over garliced and served on top of the pita. Which sucked because I wanted to dip the bread, not have it smothered in sauce which I make and eat all the time. Feta fries were stale, but the best of the three. I will never return to this restaurant. It is not Greek it is crap diner food. Oh and worst of all, the menu is chalked full of typos. Seriously, spell check your menu before paying hundreds of dollars on the sign board, out side menu and brochures. I’ll attach a picture. I was so excited but this place is such a disappointment. Don’t waste the time or money. If you want good authentic Greek try: Pita fresh grill is on newhope and tablert(near Panda Express) it’s fantastic fresh and delicious. Thasos on Bristol and sunflower(near tj maxx in the food court area) is amazing authentic and won’t let you down. You can dine in(quick service for lunch and sit down dinner Both Pita Fresh and Thasos cost about the same is this crappy place. My girlfriend will eat anything, never complains. But with this menu, she can’t stop complaining. Don’t waste the time or money. Seriously, olive tree, get it together!

I actual cook Greek food I have finicky high standards. But Spanikopita was soggy b very disappointing. For Greek food look elsewhere. The Hawaiian place that used to be here was better.

So I saw this place as it was being out together and immediately was excited for a new food place. I’ve worked in the area for 4 years so new is really welcomed and with a drive through is even better. It’s a little hard to order through the drive through with the street noise but not impossible. The workers are all really nice. I was offered water and lollipops while waiting for my food to be ready. I ordered a sandwich and it was amazing. The meat has great flavor and they add so much meat i was able to take some out and eat it with just the rice and not as a sandwich. They serve you so much I literally have dinner for tonight also.
