Don’t know what the rooms are like, because after booking a room, we arrived to find out there WAS NO ROOM left. That’s right, we were left high and dry. We were assured our credit card was never charged. Well, it was. They charged us for a room that they did not provide and ruined our evening.

Don’t stay here pay for ice room wasn’t ready smoking going on 3 flights no elevator any place else

Pictures are deceiving they show an ocean view were all you see is a city block of buildings, the Indian lady in the front was very rude, we ended up walking away and going next door to 777 inn motel which they were cheaper I guess like the old saying you get what you pay for. Just heads up lots of druggies out here.

Typical beachfront hotel/​motel. Drove down to SoCal and found this place through the Around Me app when looking to stop at the coast for the first part of our trip. Only $ 67 including tax! Can’t beat that! The interior is a bit run down looking… but as I said, this is a typical no-​name beach front hotel, so it’s to be expected at the rate we got. Bathtub leaks and doesn’t drain well and it appears we got a smoking room. I booked a queen room and we ended up with 2 double beds. Oh well, it serves it’s purpose. Looks like the owners live on site as we had to buzz someone down. Not super friendly, but not unfriendly either. It gets a fair 3 stars. Good for the price.

Very expensive. Beat up hotel, small rooms, $ 200 room cancellation fee.

Let me tell you this place is a 100 times better than Ocean view next store. The rooms look redone. Friendly staff and great pricing. Only down fall no elevator, but other than that I have zero complaints!!!

I had some hesitations booking a room here after reading all the reviews, but to be honest, a lot of the reviews are from Unilocalers who rarely Unilocal and only do it when they want to complain.
You’re booking a budget motel! Not the Holiday Inn! Boohoo you didn’t get first class fluffy towels and bathrobes in your room. So what.
And as for complaints about the owners? How would you feel if you were the owner and someone checked in and then came back 2 minutes later YELLING at you about how shitty everything is? I certainly wouldn’t be happy and I wouldn’t really want to accommodate your ridiculous requests either.
If something is dirty or broken, you talk to the owner like a goddamn freaking adult and ask to move rooms or something else. (Or don’t book a budget motel!)
My room was cleaned. It wasn’t sparkling, but what motel is? The sheets, towels, and blankets were all washed and folded. Our dresser was missing a door, but I didn’t really mind. I got a working fridge and microwave to store food (and beer) and eat leftovers. The tv was flat screen and showed sports and news. All the lights worked. Our bathroom was scrubbed and cleaned.
We had a very comfortable stay here and got some great sleep. Interaction with the owners were limited, but pleasant. We had arrived early, but we asked if it was okay to check in early. He checked to make sure our room was cleaned and then said yes! (See? Being a nice person helps…)
It’s a great location walking distance to the beach and plenty of restaurants and bars.
Would I stay here again? For the price and amenities and location, it’s a definite yes!

Stayed here a few times Location is great. Quiet place not harassed by law enforcement like other motel establishments in Orange County. the place is run down but as they say get what you pay for. Ive read other reviews complaining about management i cant personally say the same as ive never had any problems YET. All in all im a happy patron and will stay here again…

This place is a joke. DO NOT RENT A HOTEL HERE. Not only should it be shut down by health code due to the dirt everywhere but the people who own the place are completely unfair. I rented a room here on Expedia and within 2 mins I was so disgusted I went downstairs to get my money back. The lady was so upset that I called her hotel dirty and so offended that she told me I couldn’t get my money back. She returned half of my purchase to my credit card. after speaking with a supervisor on Expedia i got a voucher for a quarter of the cost of the room. All in all I paid 25% of the cost of a room NOT TO STAY THERE. This place is a ripoff. Owned by dirty people and you are silly to rent from here. I don’t care how close it is to the beach. Rent a motel 6. It’s better quality.

This place is a complete joke my friend and I booked to stay here for two nights the first night we came the room smelt horrible, we ignored it and slept through the first day. The next day my friend left the room and I just got out of the shower as I’m standing in front of the mirror that happens to be in front of the door a man with a hat and glasses proceeds through the door saying «oh this isn’t my room «first of all how do you have a key to my room? I pay for a hotel to feel safe and secure in which this place has none of. My friend comes back and we go down and speak to the owners that claim that the man that entered our room with a key and no knocking was a technician fixing appliances in the room. I then demand that the cameras were to be looked at because this unknown man was clearly not working for the hotel the owner then agrees to look at the cameras in front of us, I gave her the exact time of the incident and the obvious was presented that this unknown man was no technician. She then said oh we must have messed up and have the wrong key to him like wtf is wrong with you. She then says she will give us a $ 45 discount then corrects herself and says $ 25 after saying I was going to book a police report she then said she would just comp the room. For your own safety spend the extra money and stay at a different hotel. Nobody should ever be able to enter your room, there is no excuse for that.

Well I should’ve read the reviews on Unilocal before I booked. Absolutely no positives. Noticed my feet were dirty after the shower. Washed them again and checked again before lying down, dirty. The floor was so filthy with dirt it made my feet DIRTY. Pull out couch was broken. Microwave had food grime in it. Only one accessible outlet. WiFi didn’t work and when asked for assistance with it they said it wasn’t their problem. Needed towels for the next morning so went down to the office and they said we couldn’t get any towels or an extra tooth paste because the maids weren’t there. The phone in the room didn’t work so we had to walk all the way down to the lobby for every thing we Needed. No fridge in room. Gang tags on furniture. 25 c for ice. Parking was terrible, hope you don’t have a large vehicle. Oh and the best part? At the end of the two night stay I took the blankets off the bed and found a THUMB TAC in the sheets. Like seriously?! Oh and our «spa tub» in our «suite» room was a shower tub combo and literally only had room enough for a child. The workers were so rude. Especially the male, I believe he was the owner. Get out of customer service dude, it’s not your place. The traffic noise was also really bad and our window didn’t have a lock on it and wouldn’t shut all the way. But like all of the other issues, «there’s nothing we could do» was the answer, go figure. NO STARS.

So as many others unfortunately will i ignored the reviews and booked two nights at the Pacific View inn. This place is gross it smells of mold. Which must be why every window and door was open when arrived. The walls are dirty and blood splatter in the bathroom where one would imagine was from shooting up. Which is what this place looks like a drug den for homeless people and cheap hookers. At 1:30 am someone walked In to our room. Ten min later the manager called but the phones do t work so he came to the room. Saying we were in wrong room and we’re going to be charge extra for the… suite? Oh god if this is a suite there is no hope! How is it our fault u said this room number the key opens this door yet it is our fault we are in wrong room??? Lucky for me they didn’t take credit card when checked in and booked through Priceline so he can’t charge card. Anyway we are checking out losing a paid for night and probably better off. Don’t stay here, for the love of God RUN!!!

Absolute garbage I wouldn’t let my dog stay here, management was awful, booked the room for 3 nights stay on Expedia make sure you look at the place before staying. The check in check out office smells horrible like lotion or scented candles. You get what you pay for and I honestly wouldn’t stay here for free ! Check out hotel Huntington or shore break !

Horrible. The only reason I didn’t give it 1 star is because the bed was decent and there weren’t roaches. When researching, we read «you get what you pay for.» That should have been our first clue. When we first got there, the door was wide open for anyone to walk right in. When we got back at night, our card didn’t work (neither did the man down the hall from us.) We all went down to the service desk, she ran the card, and said «oh, I’m not sure what he did to it. Try it again.» It didn’t work, of course. She comes up and opens the door to our neighbor with a key. Magically, our door opens (good to know 1 keys opens all the doors)

It was less than an average inn. Ofcourse i couldnt complain much since we really did not book any places to stay in. Me and my friend just decided to wing our trip and this place is the only place that had an available room. It was $ 106 (tax included) for a two queen bedroom. It was pretty cheap so we took it.
Got to the room and it was pretty small. It was no problem since were only sleeping there but the the bathroom was bugged me. It was literally located beside our bed. Like you just get up and its the bathroom door facing you. Also, it wasn’t as clean as anyone would like it to be. There was a coffee maker but only one pack of coffee! There was a microwave as well as a little fridge which didnt help in cooling anything unless you store it in the freezer. Therefore I cant give this more than 3 stars as lenient as I am with all my Unilocal reviews.

Would NOT recommend staying here. Don’t bother to unpack. We stayed here for one night and we couldn’t wait to get out in the morning. The room smelled rotten — some sort of mix between mold and old smoke (we had a nonsmoking room). The room just had a dirty feel to it and the bathroom reeked of the stench we couldn’t even take a shower there. No elevator so we carried all our bags to the 3^rd floor ourselves. And there’s definitely not a view of the ocean. Yes there is free wifi BUT for only one device.
The cleaning lady (I assume) tried to come in on her own in the morning while we were STILL checked in. She did not announce herself — just an almost silent knock (which we answered since we were awake) and then used her card to open the door. There weren’t any chain or bolt locks either.

Rooms where ok for the price and great price for the location.
But the service and management are terrible !!
So rude. Not accommodating or welcoming at all. They treat it like a whore house.
Could have so much more potential if it is managed better.
Probably won’t be back due to the Indian man and lady working there.

Wanted something that wasn’t too expensive for a night near the beach.
Pros:
Walking distance to the beach.
Free toothbrush and toothpaste
Free shampoo and body bar soap.
Microwave and fridge.
Coffee maker (coffee was pretty good)
Enough towels for 2 people to shower.
Hangers and a little closet.
Direct tv with nice flat screen.
Free wifi
Cons:
The mirror was a little crusty around the edges.
No pool :(
Lamp knob was broken.
Tv was acting a little weird (noise would go off a few times) but nothing too major.
Low budget place
Motel 6 hotel is nicer and they have a pool. So I think next time I will pay the extra 15 $ and go to motel 6

I was expecting something questionable and ramshackle, but it’s actually nicely maintained.
The rooms are large and the bedding is more than acceptable. It’s easy walking distance from a variety of restaurants and bars, and the beach itself isn’t too much of a walk – though one does need to cross the busy PCH at the nearest intersection to get there.
Downsides: Not really a view of the Pacific as such. There’s a view of an inlet if you look from the East side of the building. Also, no elevator. Our room was on the 3^rd floor and it was a workout.

Look, it is simple. This place deserves four stars for service, one star for what was promised,
The motel is run down, yet quaint. There are so many things one could complain about yet service is not one.
No, I will not use the «in room spa» as Mr. Roper from Three’s Company has sure been here with Larry and I am also sure they had a third!
In all seriousness, this is a case of you get what you pay for. I am on their Wi Fi right now, there is a fridge and a microwave, everything that was advised yet not shown. I will post pics.
This is a place that surfers that are 20 to 30 should use as a crash pad while visiting Surf City.
There are many things one could complain about yet the room is clean, yet there is mildew in the bathroom… YET there is sometimes mildew in MY HOME bathroom…
direct TV and a free Internet connection, cheap price, close to where I need to be, I would stay here again, but the two star is to offset the obvious crap five star reviews, except for one thing… There is no smoke smell in our room’!!!
