The worst Chinese food I’ve every had. I don’t even know if you can call it Chinese food. I got the king pao chicken, the larger portion, with noodles, and there was less than ten pieces of chicken. It’s not even spicy, and the chicken tastes more like a fried nugget than a woked dish. I took three bites and threw the rest away. Overpriced and disgusting. I will never go back.

Crab wonton were tasty, shrimp was good yet atmosphere was horrible. The place looks like it hasn’t been cleanness or sanitized in forever. The floors were dirty and the chairs were piled high with years of who knows how many yucky finger prints. The staff never talked to us so how do they know if their customers enjoyed their meal or not. Think they just don’t want to know. Too many people coming in and out of the restaurant to just use the bathroom weird and don’t get me started on the kids begging for money inside the restaurant. Don’t go!

I’m surprised that each restaurant staff is not trained the same. Seal beach store knows a lot about gluten free while this one knows nothing

Back again, great food, and even better service! On my visit before Christmas both Roger and Jonathan made my meal fantastic!

Fernando is awesome. Went there for the first time last week and went again today. The ladies are very friendly. The only suggestion I have is for the staff to tell people about the points program. I found out about it from the website and I had to ask about it after I placed my order. It would have been nice to have someone tell me about the program. Regardless of this small mishap, I will be back again.

We just arrived home from a trip out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday. Ordered to-go items. Fernando greeted me and offered me a drink while I waited for my order to be completed. Did not check order before I left, ran another errand before I got home only to realize they forgot my lettuce cups. I called and said I would come back to get them. Fernando went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied before I left and even offered to make a fresh order for me. Excellent customer service and satisfaction! Thanks, Fernando!

We used to love this place. It used to be filled with flavor in every item you ordered. Now? Now it’s just bland«stuff» with minimal flavor. Their new«limited time» shrimp sushi roll is straight gross. The shrimp on top is over cooked and the sushi under it is ice cold which tells me it’s pre made and sits in a fridge all day. Over all it’s just ok. Don’t expect to be wowed or overly disappointed.

I was really impressed with this restaurant. I’ve been here twice now, and both times it was great. The food was delicious(I’ve tried the sesame shrimp, ginger chicken and broccoli and a couple of the gluten free options) and very well priced for the large portions. I’m definitely coming back and recommending this location to friends.

6YEARSLATER… :0 I have been going here for YEARS! It is great because you can’t find better quality for the price of their dishes, even GLUTENFREE dishes are reasonable. They also serve SAPPPORO and other beers as well. The dine in situation is fairly nice, nothing surprising but has its fast casual experience look, modern. Plenty of parking for anyone to find. All their dishes are tasty I prefer the GF Pei Wei spicy salad with chicken or shrimp you can’t go wrong with that, but if you are really hungry get it with extra shrimp or chicken. Also they are very nice with substituting ingredients I do it all the time. GF Pei Wei Spicy Chicken or shrimp $ 6 small or $ 7.50 for a large QUALITY, CHEAP, FAST dining experience! It only takes minutes to be served! PEIWEI is known for GOODFOOD because they are the smaller version of the P.F. CHANGSBISTRO.

Hot & Sour Soup tasted burnt. Noodles had no taste. I purchased the«large» portion which supposedly was 7oz. Smallest 7oz. portion I’ve ever seen. Maybe it was before cooking. Won’t come here again.

Meh. Bland noodles. No chow mein. Crab wontons are good. Mongolian beef was pretty good but the portion was just ok. The noodles were just such a downer it ruined everything.

Having never been to a Pei Wei before, here is what I thought of it. If I could give it 2.5 stars, I would but I can’t so here goes. The food was okay, a little more expensive and slightly better quality than say a Hong Kong Express. The food wasn’t great but it want terrible either, nothing I’d rave about in other words. We ordered the Mongolian Beef with white rice, the Honey seared Chicken with noodles, and crab wontons. Good news first, the cream cheese crab wontons were tasty and I’d come again just for those alone! Next the Mongolian beef, like I said earlier slightly better quality than say a Hong Kong, but nothing to write home about. The white rice was old and hard, like when you make a pot at home and refrigerate the leftovers and then have some the next day microwaved. The Honey seared chicken was like honey/lemon flavored Orange Chicken, not seared at all. It was tempura battered and covered in a sauce they say is so sweet they named it honey, but really it wasn’t that sweet at all. I think the extra cost comes from the nicer seating area, that someone serves you and busses the table, and the general layout of the place, such as the open kitchen area, where you can see your food being prepared fresh. It feels like a slightly more upscale take out or fast food place, than a genuine sit down restaurant. For the quality of the food, I’d recommend Panda Express for a better price.

Downward spiral. Lunch today cost $ 29 for 2 regular size plates. Orange chix tasted almost same as Pei Wei spicy beef. Both had same veggies — carrots, snow peas. Rice was cold.

Excellent customer service. I put in a large online lunch order for me and my work buddies. It was supposed to be ready at 11:10, unfortunately it was not ready at that time when I arrived and I had to wait and additional 15 – 20 minutes. However, I was apologized to and offered a free drink while I waited. When my order was finally ready, I was also given a couple coupons for a return visit. It’s the little things like this that go a long way. I will definitely be ordering again at this location in the future. Thanks again PW staff!

We tried this place for the first time. So here is our experience. The location is ideal because it is in the center of the Bella Terra. The inside decoration and setup of the restaurant is unique, organized, and modern. The kitchen area is open for all to watch. They hang kitchen bowls and large utensils as part of the decoration. The food is really delicious and filling. It seems a bit more authentic than a fast food Chinese food place. The prices are very reasonable. For two people, we ordered two plates and drinks. The cost was $ 26. This would be the only Asian food place i would return another time,

Always a good choice at this shopping center. The place can get crowded, but tables are cleared pretty quickly. You order, the self serve drinks from dozens of choices. Grab your own plate, utensils, etc. and wait for your food to be brought to your table(self sating). The menu is a shortened version of corporate sister PF Chang’s. You pick a meat(or tofu/veggies), rice or noodles, large or small, white or brown rice, and it’s all good. Sides now feature 4 kinds of sushi rolls, though I’m not convinced hey are made fresh daily. Food is always served hot. Every once in awhile, they add a limited time special which is funny when you want to try something new. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. Food if fresh(except maybe the sushi rolls).

This location has really gone downhill. My husband and I used to eat here once or twice a month and we used to enjoy it. We always ordered the same dishes and they were good. The food was off last night. The crab wontons were barely warm when they used to be fresh and hot. The shrimp in our kung pao was not tasty and carmelized. The service was really lacking too. One guy to deliver everyone’s dishes and clear the tables. Where did all the employees go? Everything is self serve now. I miss when most things were on the table. Also they stopped having orange slices for in iced tea. I really loved that choice. Last night I had to ask 3 times before the server brought me hot mustard. When he finally brought it out it was this disgusting crusty thing. No way was I eating that. What happened Pei Wei?

Pei Wei? More like Pei Yuck! What PO me off was how their inexpensive CA mango rolls tasted like premade rolls from Ralphs. By the time we ordered and sat down at our table, the Pei Wei worker delivered these faux rolls made in some factory with mushy rice. I was like WTH is this garbage. I ate it hoping for a miracle and I was let down because the mango was no where to be tasted and the rice was cold because the rolls probably sat in the fridge for 3 – 4 days since shipped from some other location since they are made fresh, right? Wrong! The sesame chicken was slathered in sugary sauce which made my meal off putting half way through and the pad thai had a peculiar nasty flavor. The problem was this is a commercial chinese place for Americanos, who do not know good chinese food if it hit them in their face. I am disappointed with myself from wasting my money here. Shame on me. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Here is my final verdict, this place is good if you haven’t had real asian food and like to be ripped off.

I literally just finished my meal… I am in love! Only reason why it’s not five stars is because I think they should be easy on the sauce… Too much flavor. Service is great! Which is also a plus because I’m all for great service !(: I definitely will come back soon… it is just so bomb Tip– if you don’t like too much flavor make sure you ask them easy on the sauce I’ll def do that next time!

I tried this place for the first time last week. I was shocked when I walked through the door and found a LONG line. I skipped everyone and went to the take out section. I ordered the Pad Thai and Thai Dynamite. The pad thai was very sour but good. It came with lots of bland chicken. For the Thai Dynamite, I asked for shrimp. I was surprised when it was fried shrimp(like popcorn shrimp) and came with some carrots. If I had of known I would have skipped this dish. I do not recommend it. For $ 20 and the size of the portions, it was okay. I didn’t think it’s worth the long line that the people were waiting were for. The food is mediocre. I probably wouldn’t come back.
