Feels like a food shelter that costs you. The bright glaring fluorescent lighting in here only highlights the patronage trying maximize the mountain load of items on their plate. Your plate gets placed on the counter to wait for the cook to stir fry it. This process takes forever. There was a time when four full plates sitting there with no cook in sight. Dead silence while you wait — not even background music or the hum of the HVAC. Was here for dinner based on Unilocal reviews and couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Good Mongolian BBQ with a good selection of meats, veggies and noodles to fill your bowl. Fill that bowl to the top! The chefs cook it quickly it comes with white rice and wontons. Friendly service and overall a very good dining experience.

So you have 2 options: all u can eat with 10.99/adult, or just 1 $ 7.99/bowl. All u can eat means u can take as many bowls as possible depending on your stomach. The point is that if you go with the 1 bowl, u can stuff anything(noodle, meat, veg and sauce) into the bowl until u can’t. So if ur stomach is not too big n you know how u want ur noodle to be cooked, the 1 bowl is a better deal. I went with the all u can eat yesterday n felt a little regretful. However I tried several flavors including bbq sauce, curry sauce n garlic sauce. I like the curry sauce the most. Its flavor is really strong. The tip is you should put garlic along with whatever sauce you choose. It’ll definitely enhance the flavor. Here are some complains: meat is frozen. The chef seemed not to know how long to make it well done. I ate some still-cold teriyaki chicken yesterday. Also I ordered 1 iced green tea n 1 lemonade. Both disappointed me. Btw, the waiter n the chef were really nice.

This Mongolian Grill restaurant looks like at typical Asian style restaurant with booths on the side and tables and chairs in the middle section… can sit 50 people easily. The Mrs. found this location via Unilocal and wanted to give it a try. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and they walked us down the 2 options… either a bowl for dinner or AYCE. I can see the appeal for AYCE but if you know how to pack your bowl correctly, they’ll be plenty of food to eat and maybe some for left over. Their meat, produce, starch, condiment, etc and entire selection was at a bar towards the back of the restaurant. They give you a rather large bowl and you fill it up as much as you want. For a mongolian bbq place, they sure keep this place clean and I can see it can get messy real quick. I like that they have window guards over their food selection. Once you select everything, the employee can help you choose what sauce to pair with what you have in your bowl or to your taste preference. I say go overboard with the sauce since I did 3 dabs of this 3 dabs of that and 3 dabs of spicy sauce and the flavors weren’t all there. Afterwards, you bring your bowl to the cook in the kitchen, and it’s open so you can see them cook your food. It’s pretty quick, easy, and you get your meal in about 5 min after you had it to the cook. They also give you a stamp card where I think after 6 meals, you get a free appetizer. Service was surprisingly really good for a mongolian restaurant… server asked us how the food was and how we heard about the restaurant. We’ll be back when we’re in the area.

Found out from a friend who lives in HB that this place just opened. Awesome place! Nice & clean, wide variety of meats, veggies and sauces. There’s complimentary soup, rice, and wontons. Prompt & friendly service. They also give out a stamp card offering a free side order for every 6AYCE orders. Sure I’ve been to better Mongolian BBQ place but they are also pricier. This place, for the price, is the best by far.

Let’s talk food. You have your choice of meat, choice of veggies, and noodles. If you don’t get the AYCE, stacking is the name of the game. If you’re a pro at this sort of thing, you’ll build a skyscraper of delicious Mongolian BBQ in your bowl. As far as starches, it is my opinion that you don’t wanna expend precious bowl space on noodles, especially since they give you a healthy scoop of rice with your food. The variety of sauces in which to soak your BBQ is on point. I was pleased with the overall experience. The interior is clean and modern looking, the service is adequate, and the quality and price of the food is unbeatable.

I wouldn’t say this was the best Mongolian bbq I’ve had, but for the price and the amount of food, it’s great! I have no shame to say I’m actually pretty damn good at filling my bowl with an almost unreasonable mountain of meat, vegetables, and noddles without letting the«essential» pieces fall out of the bowl, so I opted for the non-buffet option($ 6.99 lunch bowl) and ended up with half of the portion to-go. On top of that, the cook(I didn’t get to see his name tag) and Charlie the waiter and even the customers are very friendly… they kept smiling whenever they looked at me(I did check to make sure there was nothing funny on my face). The restaurant owner probably doesn’t like customers like me lol, but I hope they’ll appreciate my loyalty because I’ll keep coming back. ;)

Food was fresh. Great taste. Good amount of choices. We got the dinner buffet for $ 10.99 and it was well worth it. We felt that we definitely got our money’s worth. Tip– add more sauce than suggested to make sure you get a good amount of flavor. And don’t waste too much eating space with the rice. :) We will definitely be back and recommend it to friends and family.

We spotted this place and for the first impression, it was pretty satisfying! 1. We got the buffet which I believe is $ 9.99. 2. The meat quality was good 3. The service is friendly and fast I don’t eat Mongolian bbq often unless it’s in the mall, but that really isn’t worth it. I must say I was happy with it. Give it a try!

There is finally a Bomb Diggity Mongolian BBQ restaurant in Huntington Beach! This place has great selection, clean seating area, and great service. In a Mongolian BBQ restaurant you select the raw meats, veggies, and sauces. Then a chef takes your bowl and cooks it over a huge round cast iron griddle. Pretty cool to see if there are multiple chefs at the same griddle since they all rotate around it as they cook. The first selection you will have is what meats you want in your bowl. A good MBBQ place will have at least 4 meat choices(beef, lamb, pork, & chicken). This place goes above and beyond the norm and offers marinated Teriyaki chicken and BBQ pork. It’s usually hard to find a Mongolian place that offers 6 choices! Mongolian BBQ Pro TIP: The frozen meat you put in your bowl is always curly and takes a lot of empty space. Pack that stuff down and get more in there :-D Then, you add your veggies and sauces. The veggie selection in this restaurant is good and everything was fresh. The cooks do a really good job making sure everything is cooked properly. Your plate comes with a scoop of rice. Ask to have it on the side dish if you don’t want it changing the taste of your plate. So this place has good food, friendly service, and its super affordable. You gotta check it out.

This place is really yummy + really cheap! It’s right next to Dairy Queen and it has a very nice interior design! I went here for dinner and I was retry confused on how it works but the waiter Charlie helped me out and he’s such a nice guy! Dinner is $ 8 a bowl and $ 11 buffet(or something around that price) and you basically make your own bowl. You put in however much stuff you want and they cook it in front of you! Everyone is so friendly here! I also ordered a slushie and it tastes pretty good! I am very happy customer :-)

This place is new, clean and the service is outstanding. food, not all that great. we did not like mixing all ingredients in one bowl($ 7.99) so we opted for AYCE dinner which is $ 10.99, cheaper than other more traditional places.(this place is more like a fast food type restaurant). The first plate I put mushroom, onion, green onion and lamb. I was surprised that they add a scoop of rice to the plate. If you don’t want rice you have to tell them before they took your bowl. My impression of the first bite, meh. lamb was ok while noodle was really bland. mushroom and onion were under-cooked. I normally like noodle but it was so bland but if you add more sauce the meat would be too salty. 2nd plate I went w just green onion, cabbage and lamb which turned out simple and good. Still slightly over-cooked so the lamb was not so tender and some pieces of cabbage were burnt. Average meat quality for this type of restaurant(I only tried lamb), veggies all seem fresh. They still need to improve the skill of working on the iron griddles to get to the perfect timing and deal with different orders at the same time. Also I believe experienced cook will adjust the sauce for the diners. The wait got a little longer than normal because one guy can only deal with 1– 2 orders at the same time.(the guy who worked behind the griddle was very nice though). Overall, both me and my friend think this place is just ok.

This… place…is…awesome!!! Best bang for your buck if you’re a starving student like myself. It’s pretty much like all those other Mongolian BBQ type places except it’s entirely DIY, including the sauce and noodles part. There’s a little buffet bar and you grab a bowl and start piling your items in. Since we spent a good chunk as starving students, my bf and I have the proper Mongolian BBQ stacking technique down. First, you form a vertical wall/fence around the edge of the bowl with flat pieces of meat. Then, you start piling the meat in the center of it now that you have this nice fenced in area to prevent spillage. Once you have a sufficient amount of meat, add your veggies, then pile on the noodles on top of all this. Finally, you layer your sauces on top. As we stood there mashing our meat down and piling every item possible, the guy working was extremely friendly and laughing. He complimented our stacking skills :) At the mall, you’d most likely get yelled at while they try to draw your attention to the«Do not push down on meat» sign. You give your bowl to the guy working the grill, and he cooks your food, tosses it into a box along with a scoop of rice and 2 crispy wontons. For ~$ 8, I got 3 meals out of that box. It would have been 4, but I couldn’t bring myself to eat it for the 4th time. I have no idea how people do the buffet option because the regular one was so much food already. Over all, a pleasant experience. Fresh meat and veggies, well stocked bar of ingredients, and friendly service. I do have to admit, I like it when the people at the mall do the sauce stuff for me because I am pretty sure I ladled an excessive amount of garlic sauce and my combination was not the best, but… there is a little sign with different sauce recipes, which I totally did not follow. Totally recommend this place if you’re craving some Mongolian BBQ. Will definitely be dragging my co-workers here!

This place has changed many times over the past year but I think it’s finally going to stick now! The concept is unique in the fact that it’s buffet style or you can just get one order to go. But you can put everything you want in the bowl yourself. If you compare it to the popular chain genghis khan in the mall I like this place better! If you don’t know what sauce you want they have a pre set combo of sauces list you can follow. I would recommend doing this because the one time I tried adding random things it didn’t really taste like anything. They also give you two fried wontons and rice with your food. The employees are nice and I always see the same guy at the register.

Best Mongolian BBQ Ever! I’ve been to many different Mongolian BBQ all over, and this by far had the best food. There was only 1 waiter, for a very busy Friday night, but he was incredible. He was running like crazy, taking care of Drinks and Side Dishes, working hard to serve everyone, and keeping a Great Attitude the whole time! It’s a really good deal at $ 7.99 for 1 bowl, $ 10.99 All You Can Eat, and the food is so FRESH. The sides are Awesome as well, cooked to order. They made a fan of me, and my husband, we’ll be back soon!

I came here for dinner twice in three days. That should tell you something. My first impression walking into the restaurant was how clean and simple the decorations and set up are. The food station is in the back of the restaurant. The tables and booths are spaced out enough that you can enjoy a meal with friends and not be disturbed by other parties. What I noticed next was how friendly the staff is. The wonder greeted us and asked how our night was. He came back throughout our meal to refill water and check in on us. Very great service. They have many appetizers such as orange chicken, potstickers, dumplings, spicy wontons, and others. I tried the spicy wontons and pork and shrimp fried potstickers. Both very delicious and more than enough for two people. The Mongolian bbq comes in two options: 1 adult bowl for $ 7.99 or all-you-can-eat for $ 10.99 for dinner(both build your own). You get a bowl and start by adding meat. They have pork, chicken, beef, lamb, teriyaki chicken, and teriyaki beef. Next come the veggies etc. They have bok choy, mushrooms, cabbage, tomatoes, tofu, pineapples, baby corn, carrots, broccoli, bean sprouts, celery, ginger, and others. Last, the sauce. You add your own, but they have guidelines posted. I add the bbq oil, bbq sauce, garlic sauce, ginger sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Once you make your bowl, take it to the window and wait for it! They serve it with a scoop of rice and two fried beef wontons. The quality of food is great! Fresh. The meat isn’t chewy and dried out. I definitely recommend making a trip here for lunch or dinner.

I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I walked thru the door. Nice and bright, clean lines, cute rustic décor, and a huge bonus for me: TVs well situated with sports and Wheel of Fortune showing. They were nice and changed one of the channels to Monday Night Football for me. It’s a sit-down restaurant and you can order a build-your-own bowl($ 7.99 for dinner), or do AYCE($ 10.99 for dinner). They’ve also got sides such as egg rolls, dumplings, popcorn chicken, etc., and teas/smoothies with boba. There’s a science to utilizing the space in the bowl to maximize the amount of food you get. And my GF surely knows what she’s doing. I couldn’t help but laugh seeing the mountain she built. There’s a ton of options between meats, veggies, and sauces. I love that they have a sign that suggests how many spoons of sauces to use, depending on how strong you wanted the flavor to be. Hands down the best Mongolian BBQ I’ve ever had. The meats were buttery good, so juicy and crispy at the same time. The veggies were fresh and made me feel a tiny bit healthier. The noodles were flavorful, and wasn’t greasy like a lot of other places. A side of rice and pork wontons topped the dish. Score! Portions are ginormous. I have no idea how anyone would need to get the AYCE. We shared an entrée and still had leftovers. The shrimp and pork fried dumplings were very juicy and came with a sweet satay-style dipping sauce. It was more on the steamed than fried side, but I actually prefer it that way. At $ 4.49 for 6, this dish was also a great value. The steamed pork wonton with spicy sauce was another hit for us. The sauce had a nice tang and the green onions and chopped peanuts balanced out the dish nicely. I just wish it was spicier. This dish was also $ 4.49. We really enjoyed the dumplings, and they actually reminded me of Din Tai Fung. Because they’re made fresh, however, they do come out about 5 minutes after the BBQ. The service was amazing. My water was re-filled twice without me asking and the owner even stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking. Not that I needed another reason to come back, but they also have a stamp card where your 6th bowl gets you a free side. Well done MGCY!

Being able to eat for 2 under 20 $ in a sit down restaurant is pretty much unheard of these days. Especially if you’re gonna get as full as you get here. I’m seriously so stoked on the 6.99 lunch. That price is for 1 bowl, but seriously, if you know how to plan out your bowl, you can get a ton in just that 1 bowl. They also have big bowls, they aren’t tiny little bowls. Now don’t get me wrong the AYCE is worth it too, it’s only a couple bucks more. I got that the first time and def went back for 2nd’s but in reality it was only because I felt like I had to since I ordered the AYCE version. 2nd visit though I knew 1 bowl would do me justice and it did. You get some rice and a couple wontons with it and you’re good to go. The dude serving has been friendly both times we’ve been in, and now we have a punch card, so you can bet we’ll be back again. This is for sure one of the best lunch and dinner deals around if you ask me. Well worth it.

Came here for the first time yesterday for a late lunch based on Unilocal reviews. The place is right at the back of the plaza, a few doors down from Target. We walked in, it was quiet but it was 2.30pm on a Monday! Staff are super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean. We opted for the all you can eat lunch option and ordered ice milk tea and a strawberry smoothie with boba– the smoothie was delicious! The buffet area to build your bowl is clean and the choices are good with various meats, veggies, noodles and sauces. They cook the food quickly and you get some boiles rice and fried wonton too(only get wonton for the first plate that you get). We enjoyed the food and will definitely be back soon.
