Sean Murphy Induction

Sean did a carb for me. Workmanship was good, but he can have lots of ATTITUDE. If you are local and can go down to his shop he probably is fine. If you are using the mail he will probably get it right the first time, so you are OK, but if not you might have to figure things out on your own like I did. Solution: I found a different shop where everything is perfect first time every time.

sean rebuilt my original holley carb, when i picked it up, it wasnt plated (like all the ones in the case) as i asked, when i put it on the newly restored motor it leaked gas everywhere, because he didnt put the transfer tube between the bowls. when i brought it back, he acted like he was doing me a favor, saying he «could order one» (implying i would pay for it). it was there when i brought it in, i couldnt believe he sent it out like that. unbelievable

Order a carburetor from Sean 4÷9÷2012 and was told it would be ready in 3 weeks, called last week and spoke with Matt, said it would be ready on 5÷10÷2012 called today 5÷11÷2012 and was told it would be a couple more days until they get to it, tired of waiting, its been past 5 weeks now, if you want to wait to get your ride rolling these are the guys to see. if you want to get it running today, find another carb shop.

I was referred to SMI from a friend of my wife’s. He told me Sean was the best in the business and that if I wanted to get my 1968 Mustang running perfectly, I should call him… so I did. I have to say I am sure GLAD I DID!!! Sean told me I could bring it by the next day, and he fixed it completely the same day and for what I would say a bill that was ¹⁄₃ of what it could’ve been. My mustang now runs better than it ever has! It had a clogged line in the carburetor and the distributor needed to be re-​curved. Sean diagnosed the problem extremely fast. This is where I think he stands head and shoulders above his competition. It probably would’ve taken another mechanic multiple days to diagnose, which means a lot of $$$$ to the customer.
Sean is a very humble, honest, and straight to the point kind of guy. (The kind of guy I want working under my girl’s hood :-) Thank you Sean for doing what you do and helping me out. You are now my go-​to guy for all my carb. and tuning needs from here on out.
