Starbucks

I come to this Starbucks when at Huntington Beach. Today I could not not leave a review. They had one slow barista working. 4 others floating around doing little, not even making the basic drinks like iced water. And they had serious attitude. Regional needs to get in here.

I don’t usually write 3 star reviews, but this deserves it. I’d give 5 stars for the friendly staff, but I had to take away some stars for how long it took.

Saul was my barista but it seems as though Saul wasn’t having a good day. I, on the other hand was having a fabulous day with my daughter, celebrating her birthday. We decided to stop in and order iced tea. My order was made incorrectly, I asked Saul to remake it, he grunted and then slammed the remade order on the counter. My daughter’s order was correct but her order was also slammed down on the counter.
This is HUNTINGTON BEACH!!! You work at the beach. People at the beach are happy. When happy customers are forced to deal with unhappy employees, I have to wonder what is more important; the amount of orders sold or making the customers happy they chose to spend their money in your establishment. Next time I am going to try Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf because it is right across the street!

Every morning I go into starbucks and get my favorite drink & I am always satisfied. Except recently, they have hired a new worker who is extremely slow and messes up my drink, everytime. This morning I got my drink without one half of its components, the lemonade. Given that she had already taken too long and did not shake it up making my drink extremely warm, I was so unhappy. I now sit with my warm at the bottom, tea, without lemonade unsatisfied and late to my work. Everyone else who works here is fantastic and always pleasant except for her.

The shop was great! I tried the new Caramelized Honey Latte Though and I didn’t like it. Sad I wasted my free reward on the drink.

Love the drinks and treats. Tried the Gingerbread Tea, after the nice barista explained what it was, and it was awesome. Loved the yummy breads and nice portion sizes! Quick service and polite staff. My only complaint is that they no longer allow customers to use the bathroom. We’re buying drinks which contribute to the need for a bathroom and customers are no longer allowed to use the bathroom with the corner the bathroom is in blocked off! Hope they change that and open it up to customers again.

Really busy all the time. Baristas were friendly and fast. No bathroom, and only 3 tables to sit at, but has two high bars with 4 or 5 chairs at each. Not a place to hang out, read or work. Churn and burn type of environment.

Worst customer service ever. Visited there on Sunday 3pm. Ordered cold pressed juice and asked for cup of ice. One who makes drinks would give us water but no ice. Asked her nicely, she would not even answer. Asked the girl on counter, she just put 4 ice cubes on top of the water they gave to us. I don’t think they care about review, but just letting you guys know. This is worst Starbucks I have ever visited. One star is too much for these people.

Great fast customer service, very friendly people and very nice location. Every time I go to the beach I stop by this Starbucks to grab a cup of coffee. Hazel nut latte it is today. Thank you Starbucks :))))))))

Yummy, Fun, fast-​paced SB smack in the middle of town. Surfer City indeed! Truly nice, polite, efficient, non-​snotty barristas to boot! Sweet!
Love the seating outside, and terrific spot to people watch, buy some cheap sunglasses while you sip, and enjoy the beach life.
Its always comforting to see the locals enjoying their fave brew!

This Starbucks actually closes at 10pm (not 10:30 as shown on Unilocal).

Again. It’s Starbucks. And a couple blocks from the beach. In HB. Salty breezes and sunny skies… Add a nonfat latte.
Pretty much awesome time, yes?

If u want to wait 20 min for an iced tea and be subjected to horrible service by miserable deadbeat employees, go to this place. I’ve had better service in my local Starbucks drive through and get to enjoy my drink in less than 2 min.

Amazing customer service!!! Every time I walk in the staff is smiling and working really fast to get your order done right.

If your looking for rude service surly this is the place. I have been coming here for over two years now as we live down the street and still haven’t had the pleasure of a smile from one of the employees.
To top it off it is right downtown on Main street so it can get busy especially in the summer months. There is only a couple of free 24 min. spots nearby and the rest are meters. Watch out because the meter maids have been known to be on every corner not sparing one second for an expired meter (even if your sitting in the car).

I’ve never had a bad experience here. It’s one of my favorite Starbucks locations. Who can complain when the ocean is literally a couple blocks away?! I highly recommend the very talented and friendly barista, Jordan. Not only are my coffee drinks made to perfection, but I always leave with a smile on my face. I couldn’t ask for better customer service. Thanks for always being awesome, Jordon!

Service is always great, especially for being such a busy location. This review is for the big sanitation issue I witnessed.
Let me start by saying I am a huge proponent of having animals dine at restaurants OUTSIDE. I am a pet owner, and appreciate establishments open to pets dining on patios.
However, I am not a fan of workers petting animals and then preparing food, which is exactly what happened at this starbucks. The associate was petting the animal from across the counter then preparing orders – eew!!! That is a huge health hazard to patrons. You never know where the dog may have been and if people have pet allergies whose order you are preparing.
Also, the dog drooled all over the floor (see pics).
Management needs to address this ASAP. If they do, I am happy to improve my rating, but for now it gets 2 stars for the lack of sanitation standards.

Its located on the Main Street of downtown HB, and if there’s a festival or an event going on, this location gets crazy busy. I like the set up, where you walk in and the line wraps toward the back of the store, and curves left, keeping the flow of traffic moving. There’s plenty of windows, allowing natural light to come in. At night you can view the street, and the events going on.
The baristas were super nice, and thought we were tourists since we were checking out their mugs, which ironically were for San Diego and San Francisco. Based on reading other Unilocalers, I can see why some baristas can be total jerks, as many people who walk into a Starbucks aren’t customers and takes advantage of the toilets, wifi and plugs. Being a touristy location, I’m sure this place gets more than their share.
There’s not much of a seating area. To the left of the cash register is a counter with 6 stools, and along the window, adjacent to the condiment bar are more seating. There’s 2 or 3 tables when you first enter, along the queue area. But, who wants to stay inside if you’re at Surf City, right?
The condiment bar impressed me. The bar was stocked, clean, and had 2 trash receptacles. Most Starbucks I have been to have dirty condiment bars with sugar crystals all over the countertop, milk dripped everywhere, and the sugar or sweeteners are practically empty. Trash piling up is another pet peeve of mine, and this place was clean, especially for such a busy location.

I came here a couple of times while i was visiting HB. It is located slightly away from downtown. The store is larger than most Starbucks locations. however, the service seems slower.
