Subway

I used to work at a Subway and no one at my store would ever act like the older Hispanic lady that works at this location! She is so rude. Every review I’ve read on this subway is about her, I’m surprised the owner hasn’t done something about it! This subway is down the street from my house and I would rather drive 20 minutes to a different one than go to this one.
The lady looked at me opened the door to subway and just let it go AS I WAS RIGHT BEHIND HER!
She also makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing her when you order. It’s your job, make the damn sandwich and save your resting b***h face for the back.
I know it’s not really the easiest place to get into but if you’re from HB and want subway go to the pier location. The owners there are amazing and don’t hire anybody that would ruin your day!
I’m honestly so mad that I even have to give this place 1 star.

I will avoid this location from now on. The short, older, Hispanic lady is probably the rudest person that’s ever waited on me. I’m in the service industry, and I treat my clients with respect, so I’m just shocked when I encounter someone like her. Whoever owns this location needs to think about a change of staff… It’s THAT bad.

Okay so I’ve been coming here for years. The older short lady is the sloppiest sandwich maker ever. She’s always in such a rush even when we are the only ones in the store. She fucked up my girlfriends sandwich. She had a meatball sub. How do you mess that up? The young kids from the high school make way better ones. Fire her and these bad reviews will start to dissappear. I’ve always been hesitant on writing a bad review because I know Jason, But it has to stop. I might go to togos from now on.

Okay I read the reviews before I came but it was 930, everything was closed, and my boyfriend was STARVING. I was extra nervous since the reviews are so bad and we were going right before closing…
But we went anyway and when we got there, two young blonde girls were working. Oh my gosh they were the sweetest! The first girl, I think her name was Melanie? Melody? Something like that idk she had a nose ring. Well anyways she was so sweet and was super careful making the sandwich it was all perfect and she was all smiles. The other girl made my boyfriends sandwich I think her name was Serenity? She was super sweet too. They had great attitudes and joked with us. It was a totally typical, nice and easy subway visit.
Normally I wouldn’t bother reviewing a subway but the reviews were so bad and those girls shouldn’t get a bad rep for the «horrible awful worst subway workers» that every other review mentions.

I don’t know why came back here again. Why are the owners of this place not doing anything about their employees. This time a older Hispanic lady had serve me my sandwich. As I walked up to the counter she had sun chips and all of the toppings of the sandwiches on parchment paper, eating on the preparation counter where all the sandwiches are made she didn’t put it away in fact her mouth was still Full and she was still chewing and as she spoke to us for my order she had spent a spot small chunk of the Sun chips or whatever she was eating back into the food I paid for my food but I didn’t eat it I felt disgusted. Tried to give this subway another chance and this time was the worst of all!!! The owners Realy need to do something about this because when I try to call the location to complain either a young girl answers or the Hispanic lady that spit in my food answers what do you do go to the Better Business Bureau? Any comments will help thank you

If you love sandwiches your way from subway try avoiding this location, the workers here seem to hate there jobs and do a very poor job at it, how hard is it to just put meat cheese veggies ect in a bread and do it with a positive attitude? Well at this locations it seems an impossible task for the children they seem to hire at this location, also they don’t provide a public bathroom, how gross is that? Scary just scary… Can’t these employees learn how to perform such a simple task? I guess not based on these years and years of reviews and the last sandwiches I’ve acquired from this location. Hopeless. Avoid Scary No public restrooms… Scary just scary!

I came to this Subway location one time and only one time and will never come again. I ordered a footlong pastrami. It was made on two separate pieces of 6-​inch cut bread, which is NOT standard operating procedure. The bread was old and after toasting was falling apart in such a way to make it impossible to eat. They also don’t have water at their soda fountain. After I asked for water, I watched as the employee poured the water from a SINK FAUCET (later I spoke to the owner and his explanation for this was that school kids would ask for water and then pour soda — welcome to fast food, buddy, there is not a single fast food joint that doesn’t have to deal with this — luckily soda costs you $ 0.0001/ounce, dickwad — not to mention that this doesn’t explain why there isn’t a drinking water source other than a FAUCET). After the sandwich fail, this was too much. I demanded the owner’s contact info so I could make a complaint (more for his own good because he’s going to be hemorrhaging customers, and therefore money, with these weird customs). After talking, he offered to send me some coupons for comped stuff, which, surprise surprise, I never received. NEVER. COMING. BACK.

Worst subway ever. They totally rushed through making my sandwich and acted like I was inconveniencing them by ordering food. And they have no bathroom.

Don’t eat here at least avoid Vero. She is the absolute worst at making sandwiches she simply does not care. I could barely hear anything she asks and when making the sandwiches she just threw the meat and everything else on the bread completely sloppy, she was doing everything so fast when she grabbed the sandwich half of what was inside fell off into the prep counter and she just picked it all up and threw it back into the sandwich then continued to smash the entire sandwich as she cut it in half and wrapped it. EVERYTHING SHE DID WAS SLOPPY she didn’t even put it all the way in the bag she just threw it in the bag also! Worst service ever avoid her at all costs.

ZERO STARS! Holy $hit this place is a dump! Why the hell did I not Unilocal this place before going here? Like other Unilocalers, I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Negative stars if possible. Walked in and I was next in line. Younger girl was making two sandwiches for the guy in front of me. The other worker that was there was avoiding me. Old bag walked by twice before deciding to take my order. She mumbles something (possibly, in another language) and I gave her my order. Two Flatizzas, one pepperoni, one Italian. Sounds easy enough, right? Apparently not. When cutting up the meat, she fails to cut through the meat. Really? So what does she do? She tears the meat up with her fingers. No joke. I wish I was, but I’m not. After she butchers the meat, she throws the meat all in the center. Doesn’t even spread it out. Ridiculous. After paying, I go to the beverage section to grab a flavored tea. It was like pure sugar. I think they forgot to add the water. Tried another tea. Same issue. I didn’t want to drink a soda, but I had no choice. All the teas tasted like pure sugar for whatever reason. DO NOT EAT HERE! You will regret it. Hopefully, this place closes down like the Albertsons that used to be adjacent to it. Yes, that is a horrible thing to say, but it goes to show you how disgusted I am about this place. No wonder they have horrible reviews on Unilocal.Guess it’s my fault for not checking Unilocal before eating here.
Btw, the food tastes as bad as it looks, and is as good as this location’s customer service… which is shitty. Heat up a hotpocket, I guarantee it will taste better than the crap I paid for at Subway. Take a look at the pics I posted. Nasty, nasty, nasty…

I wish I could give ZERO stars.
Everything about this location is terrible and they don’t care to do anything about it.
Everything from terrible customer service and attitudes from employees, to FILTHY food prep areas (where the sandwiches are made), cross contamination, and she used her FINGER to spread my tuna.
We contacted them to make sure the franchise owner knows how completely filthy his Subway is, and heard nothing back. Crickets.
I will never come back here. I’ll stick with the location on Brookhurst and Adams :)

I honestly wish I could give no stars. This is the WORST subway I have ever been to from the filthy prep surfaces to the unfriendly/​inaccurate employees. I went here to get a veggie sandwich and about the only thing they got right was the bread. I don’t eat fast food often so when I do and it’s this disappointing I remember why. The kid making my sandwich didn’t speak 2 words to me and I had to repeat everything ¾ times I asked for swiss/​provolone and got provolone asked for sauce and came home to a dry sandwich with very little veggies on the bread. How are you going to ask people for their money if you can’t even give them what they’ve asked for? I don’t even want to get into their disgusting counters with their veggies all mixed together and spilling out. The best part is he didn’t even ask me if I wanted it for there or to go he just kinda handed me a sandwich w/​a receipt.

Ugh worst subway ever. My fiancé brought sandwiches home and 1) barely any tuna on the bread and it was stale! 2) found THREE hairs in my sandwich! I seriously gagged… Will definitely not be going to this location anymore. Disgusting! I wouldn’t give any stars if I could.

I had the worst sandwhich ever! Bekah is the major issue with me. She was very weird, rude and loopy. She should no longer be an employee and look slike a drug adict. two pieces of meat on a foot long?! Nooo waaaaaayy that doesn’t fly with me. This place does not even deserve a star. Josh on the other hand deserves five stars! If you piss off a 16 year old that’s pretttyy bad if you ask me.

Great service, best Subway I’ve ever been to, and I go to a lot. The store is always properly maintained, the floors are always clean and the food is always fresh, I’ve watched it get delivered before so take it from me. The employees all wash there hands a little more than they should. As for the restroom, anyone who complains is a flat out idiot, the building was built before the law for restaurants to require a public restroom and regardless it is against the law to let non employees in the back of the store, it’s a health code violation; public restrooms need to be in the front of the store, so of you don’t see one, don’t complain.

My rating has nothing to do with the food. it tastes just like every other subway. My rating does in fact have everything to do with their (lack of) customer service. Now, this location is right across the street from where i’ve worked for 5 years so this review is not based off one visit. But this last visit is what prompted me to not return. There was one customer other than myself, and 2 employees working. The one that was not busy (a hispanic female with trouble understanding english) was hesitant to start helping me. finally, she did though. First she got my bread wrong, then proceeded to start putting chicken on my bread before I even told her what meat I wanted (which was actually turkey) and I had to ask her twice for oil&vinegar on my sandwich, which she never ended up doing. Then, the next employee ringing me up had the most sour look on his face and snapped at me when i asked a question. I was planning on getting a drink to go with my sandwich by I opted to not give them anymore of my money. I paid for my sandwich and split.
Word of advice to the owner: Hire employees who can treat customers with respect and LISTEN to what they order.

this subway sucks. the food is like any old subway except for the workers here are rude and rush through making your sandwiches. although this subway has seating indoors and outdoors they have no bathroom — i’m not even sure how this passes code but whatever, they told me to go to the albertsons in the same strip mall to use the bathroom. i settled for some hand sanitizer they had near the register because all i wanted to do was wash my hands. as i was a tiny bit annoyed sitting there eating my sub-​par veggie delight the punk kid at the sandwich station yelled at me to move seats because the chair i was in was making the door bell go off (i could not really hear the bell). so now i was pretty well annoyed and i asked — why is there a table and chairs here if you’re going to ask customers to not use them!!! of course, no reply there.
whoever owns this subway should get some less rude and rushed workers. good thing i was only there due to work and i will never have to go back to this crappy subway ever again.

Its Subway, so the food tastes just like any of the nearly 30,000 locations around the world. I’d probably give it 3 stars, but the girl that made my sandwich seemed to rush through and half-​ass building it so she could talk to her friends that were visiting her.
