I like The Corner… I just don’t love it. I live about two blocks from here and have eaten here twice. Both times were fine. Food was good but unmemorable. Drinks were good but pricey. Service was slow but not inexcusable. Whenever my husband and I brainstorm places to eat, we just never think to go to The Corner even though it’s so close to us. I think the real put off is the ambiance. The bar side of the restaurant(which I was told used to be a Korean or Vietnamese restaurant) looks like the owners paid attention to detail. Or rather that the previous owners paid attention to detail and The Corner is capitalizing on that. The dining side. not so much. Paint is chipping, there’s no artwork on the walls, there’s a random doorway at the back with no door that leads to a dark, unkempt room. The restaurant just seems like it is a work in progress. Also, the first time we came there was a strong, unpleasant odor. Not the best first impression. I’m sure I will return as the drinks really are very good and I mostly enjoyed my food choices. It’s worth checking out during happy hour as the prices are more forgivable.

Very good food, very good drinks, definitely will go there again. 9⁄10 times you have wonderful customer service. Wonderful atmosphere, great place to hang out for a bite to eat. Love the spaghetti squash and the 24 hour fries. Wonderful happy hour you should check it out

Love their happy hour! Favorites include the pork belly slider, meatball slider, and stuffed jalapeños. They make a fabulous Old Fashion. This is a favorite local hangout.

Drinks and food are prime. Apps are a bit pricey for how much you get but ultimately worth it in taste.

Great tapas place. Lots of small plates to share. Loved the potato tacos and artichoke flatbread. We will definitely come back here.

This is painful for me to write since the food is not the issue. Let me start with the negatives… I have been here 4 – 5 times and I come back because of the food, NOT the service. During each visit, I get a different answer when I have asked for an item to be described to me. For example, 48 hour fries. I asked why they are called that and have gotten 2 complete different answers. It takes a while to order, a while to get your order, a while to get your water refilled– you get the hint. I do not know if the servers are rude or they really dislike working there. No one is happy; no one smiles at you and no one makes recommendations… here is where Unilocal saves you. A few times the servers have been condescending. Too bad you do not have name tags. The décor is cold and not quite the bar scene, not the hipster scene, I do not know what it is… this time the restroom was quite dirty. The food is great. 48 hour fries, short rib tacos, calamari piccata, osso bucco, etc… your food is great. There are no complaints about the food whatsoever. I wish I can just order to go, but these items need to be eaten there. So management, if you are reading this, please retrain your servers to gear towards customer service. I am not the only one that thinks they are not very good. After this horrible last time with the servers, I do not know if I am coming back. I did not want to give them 1 star because the food was good, but the service was bad enough to pull food quality of 4 – 5 stars down to 2… and I am being generous today.

Came here with high expectations based on all the positive reviews but we left the place unsatisfied. Nothing we ordered really stood out which was disappointing. The bread on our burger was tough and dry, brussels sprouts were overly salty and fries and gnocchi mac and cheese were bland. On a brighter note, the staff was friendly and the service was good but I doubt we’ll be coming back to The Corner. :(

The bacon wrap dates are mouth watering. The spaghetti squash was delish. German took good care of us. I’ll be back for sure.

My husband and I wanted to try a new place and shame on us. This place was very loud, couldn’t even hear each other talk. Had ordered a drink and a couple of «appetizers» that were incredibly small. We decided we’d had enough and opted to go somewhere else we could actually hear each other and enjoy our date night.

I was looking on Unilocal for something to order for dinner via delivery. I came across The Corner’s amazing reviews and decided to order. I ordered the lobster and crab pasta, the mac and cheese gnocchi, and the 48 hour fries. I was disappointed in the portion sizes, as the dishes seemed somewhat expensive for how much they sent me. What the dishes lacked in size, they made up for in flavor! I was skeptical about the reviews for the 48 hour fries as sometimes there’s hype about stuff that isn’t necessarily different or out of this world. These were something else! I’ve only ever had fries like this one other time before, and it was in New York. I mess with The Corner!

Ok — I’ve been eyeballing this place for awhile now wanting to check it out… finally did last night and OMG — LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEIT!!! So beyond happy that I went there, I woke up STILL on a food high. The pictures of the interior on Unilocal do NOT do it justice. I thought that it was going to be very cafeteria like inside — WRONG. Its minimally decorated but very cute & cozy. One side is the dining room, the other side is the bar with some tables and some small 2 people booths and also bar seating. Our server«Jake» was awesome. VERY knowledgeable about EVERYSINGLE food and drink item, also very friendly and gives suggestions if desired. The food is sort of Tappas style — small plates, which I love so you can try multiple things(and don’t break the bank.) Here is what I’ve tried so far: 1) Stuffed Jalapenos — GOOD(a little spicy, its a Jalapeño.) 2) Meatball Sliders — BEYONDGOOD… SOSOSOGOOD!!! 3) Short Rib Tacos — GOODGOODGOOD 4) Mortadella Croque Madame — TO. DIE. FOR.(SOOOOOOOOOGOOD!!!) 5) Spaghetti Squash — not for me but my dining partner said it was«the best she’s ever had». 6) Gnocchi«Mac n Cheese» — SOOOOOOGOOOOOOD!!! 7) Tuna Tartare Tostadas — GOODGOODGOOD 8) Calamari Steak Piccata — SOOOOOOOOGOOOOD!!! I also tried the Tangerine Gimlet which was good(very Tangeriney,) and another drink that Jake recommended but I can’t remember what it was called grr. My 2nd time there I had the«Anti Oxident Intoxicant» and«The Good Uncle» — both REFRESHING&DELICIOUS. They are open until midnight on Fri/Sat and they have Brunch from 11 – 4 on Sundays.

I’ve been here twice now and I’m a fan. I wandered in with a friend to watch a game one day and we had the short rib tacos and the everything tacos. They were so good. Their margaritas are all skinny, too, which is very good for a girl who’s watching her figure! In addition to the tacos, we wandered in with friends who had amazingly yummy gnocchi and a pretty decent beet salad. I didn’t try the burger, but it looked really good too. Service is great and they have a pretty cozy environment. I liked this place based on the food alone, but their staff is cool as is the environment.

This review is for the service– not so much the food. First off– I tried to take this up with management before I decided to write this. I truly believe in using my energy towards CONSTRUCTIVE critique as opposed to negative energy. However management nodded it off. My uncle purchased a bottle of the pictured Pinot right off the bat which was great with the dates. From that point the server Greg was responsive and kind. I was so happy I got the business card for the general manager so I could hold my graduation party there. The very next day(today) I took my boyfriend to get his opinion about the party space. I was excited to see Greg was our server again but was surprised that his attitude was vastly different when I asked for a sample of the Pinot for my boyfriend. Then was hesitant when we asked for recommendations from the menu. I understand nothing in this life is free but I assumed during happy hour purchasing drinks would be encouraged. From then on I found Greg to be dismissive and unwilling to answer any questions. I literally had to pry to figure out if the sangria was red or white! Then he said«it’s sangria– you either like it or you don’t» Ultimately leaving still hungry. My boyfriend is snacking on chips from my grocery bag! The search continues for my graduation party venue.

Décor was bland and simple with nothing on the wall. It’s kind of dark and probably a good date place. Try the tuna tartare taco it’s very yummy if you decide to come here.

We don’t live anywhere near here yet we crave it. It’s a great place to go for drinks and apps. The people are all great, the drinks are perfect and so unique. And the food, well the food has a flavor of its own. We always get the Clock Work Orange Fashioned, because it uses a liquor called China China that is new to the states and is just so good. Especially with the large slice of ginger in it! We tend to always get 48hr fries, because well, no one else has them and they are completely different then any other fry we’ve had. The bacon wrapped dates, with balsamic vinaigrette dressing because they are perfect little poppers that are bursting with flavor. The mashed potato tacos again because no one else has them quite like these. With siracha and onions. It’s a very favorable experience. Lastly we got a new menu item, pork belly. Now we did like it, I would get it again, however, the flavoring was not all there. It had a coconut curry which I am a sucker for, but the pork belly didn’t have much seasoning by itself. All together, it was lacking. I know it will get better next time we come, but just be aware that I think the pork belly needs some time. Anyways, we always love going to this place and never are disappointed. Sit back, order a drink, eat up and enjoy your company!

Still five stars! This time we just went just for dessert. The chocolate peanut butter thing – not sure what it was called, but it was awesome! We also had the Berry Crumble, warm, fresh fruit, with a tasty crumbly topping, underneath a dollop of ice cream. So, bottoming: go for dinner, go for dessert, just go!

Becoming one of a staple favorites for me! Went tonight for a girls night dinner and German was our server. He recommended some delicious items. We started with the mashed potato tacos and split the lobster tagliatelle. The pasta was so insanely flavour full! Get a side of lemon to squeeze on top. You won’t be disappointed. Save room for desert cuz the pb pie with a pretzel crust was aaaaamazing! Overall service was quick and attentive, food was full of flavor, and drinks were cold and strong. Highly recommend. Check out their happy hour if you’re looking for a relaxing spot!

Surprised. Looking for Gluten Free and we found the Corner. When we walked in at 7ish we were the only patrons. Decided to stay and try and glad we did. Atmosphere, sterile and cold. Kinda coffee shoppish. You must stay and eat. Innovative food, fresh ingredients and great service.

We stumbled upon The Corner by pure accident not knowing what type of food we would encounter. The menu is seasonal and had the most exciting foods I have ever seen. I joined my family for a unexpected delightful meal. We ordered several appetizers to start including dates wrapped in bacon which were amazing. We then ordered our entrees which were outstanding. Everybody ordered different selections so we were able to nibble on each other’s plate and were very satisfied by the unique mixture of fresh ingredients and fantastic taste. Our waiter Dave was so nice and patient with our large group explaining every detail and making suggestions. I We were very pleased by the phenomenal food and great service. We definitely will be returning to «The Corner». Only thing I would recommend is pictures on the wall & more décor other than that it’s a perfect restaurant.

Their 48-hours fries is top-notch! I’m so addicted — good thing there’s daily HH from 3−7pm and the fries are only $ 4 on that menu. I’m also a fan of their mojito. It’s made really well and strong. My husband ordered the old fashioned and he gave it a thumbs up. We also shared the spicy wings, spicy pork belly banh mi, and the deviled eggs. My favorite of the night was the fries; my husband’s favorite was the pork belly banh mi. The wings were delicious too but really, really hot. I ate them while my mouth was on fire! The deviled eggs were interesting; simple deviled eggs but the prosciutto-salad/side that came with it made it unique and tasty. Coming back for those fries!!!
