My youngest one who is selective in eating vegetable ended up eating everything! She loved the pickled radish and carrots, angel hair cabbage salad, sweet corn soup, rice balls, and potato wedges with vegan cheese sauce. Thanks to the tasty food, my family ate healthy today. Compliments to the chef and staff!

The food at this place was very tasty. I got the teriyaki burger and my boyfriend got curry. However, I wouldn’t recommend ordering any teas. They are quite expensive and just taste like soymilk without much tea flavor. The ice cream was $ 4 and the tiniest scoop ever. Great food but disappointing prices and portions :(

I just had the most wonderful experience at this quaint little restaurant. I stopped by to get a Ramen soup to-go, but ended up staying there to eat it instead after realizing that it doesn’t travel well doing due to the fresh ingredients. I must admit, I was pleasantly caught off guard by the cheerful, genuine greeting from the wife. The restaurant is so inviting and relaxing with the music playing in the background and the serene décor. I could’ve stayed there all afternoon. Her husband who is the chef came out to say«Hi» and chatted with me. Such a nice experience overall. I will definitely be stopping by the next time I’m in HB. I can’t wait to try some of the other items on the menu. They have a great thing going here.

What a wonderful greeting when I walked in the door! Just happen to find a place, I am vegan, and it is the most wonderful food! Very berry lemonade was delicious. The beet n potato salad, I need more of that for sure. After trying to eat all of the Ramen I took it home and ordered a raw desert too. Vegilicious, you’ll be seeing more if me!

I’ve been here 5+ times. I recently moved less than a mile away from this place & just by coming and eating their food makes my day. I would like to thank the wonderful owners(adorable husband and wife) for ALWAYS appreciating their customers. For ALWAYS saying their long and lovely good-byes &ALWAYS asking how the food was. You two always make me smile. I wish I could become your guys’ friends & you guys could teach me how to speak Japanese!(In love with the culture& possibly want to move to Japan in the future) you two are so genuine& I can tell you’re so passionate about what you do. As for the food, it’s absolutely great! I always get the tofu steak curry! It’s so crazy how fresh the food is. I can taste so many different ingredients in the curry. I also bought a bottle of their salad dressing because it’s so amazing! I do have to say the price for food does get expensive. I never get any dessert or appetizers because it all just adds up, but I would love to try everything on the menu one day. Once again, to the owners, thank you for making this a second home for me. I want to hug you both & let you know that you two are beautiful people, inside and out. Keep bringing smiles to others with your personalities and skills. You’re doing great! –MJ

My friend treated me here Saturday and I had no idea what to expect from Vegan Japanese! My friend and I aren’t really big on vegetarian food even though we try to have it from time to time, but I must say it’s probably one of the best spots to have vegan food. First of all, how is this vegan?! HOW? I ordered the ‘beef’ curry and I thought I was getting meat! The texture and taste was like regular Japanese curry. I had to look at the menu a couple times to reassure myself that it was actually vegan, hahah. I thought I was cheating. It was definitely nice to have a hearty vegan meal, instead of feeling like a bunny or not feeling full. Felt very clean afterwards. Such a good experience. The lady was so sweet in serving us and the cook came out to greet us. Their ice cream is also AMAZINGGGGG and gluten free. How!!!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years and wanted to update my review. This is not only a great restaurant, but also the only 100% Organic vegan /vegetarian restaurant I have found in OC. That’s really important when you’re looking for the best vegan & vegetarian restaurants. The dishes I order here have always been very good and the weekly specials keep me coming back. Really good food! I also enjoy their organic teas, coffee and lattes. The owners are just the nicest people, too. 5 Stars!

Great Japanese inspired vegan food! Lots of yummy and healthy options! Good portions! Great quiet ambience! Super cute and friendly staff!!! The food are Non-gmo, organic(a tad pricier), no msg, little fat, no refined white sugar, no table salt, no deep frying. Flavorful and healthy! Located beside Trader Joes and other restaurants.

Yumi and I went back on Saturday this past weekend and both tried the ‘Sauce Katsudon’, which, while not ‘TECHNICALLY’ on the menu, was prepared for us with Vegilicious’ usual unwavering attention to cullinary detail and brought to our table. Now, for those unfamiliar with ‘Sauce Katsudon’, Sauce Katsudon is a fried pork cutlet, or in this case NON-PORK,(but tastes just like it!!) tenders, perched jauntily atop a mountain of five-grain rice and drizzled with a near, but not quite teriyaki-sauce with sliced onions and scallions. Sounds simple? Yes, it does, but the FLAVOR the ‘sauce’ imbued to the dish was literally on par with full-on MEAT katsudon that I’ve eaten at more omnivorous restaurants! SERIOUSLY! This dish NEEDSTOBEONTHEREGULARMENU! It’s that good! «Delicious» doesn’t even come CLOSE to doing this dish justice! Well? What are you WAITINGFOR?! Get down there and TRYTHISDISH! If you are a fan of Katsudon in it’s many shapes and flavor-combinations, YOUNEEDTHIS!

Recent vegetarian but my girlfriend is a long time vegan. We ordered the potato wedges with cheese sauce, steamed vegetables with sesamiso sauce, and the teriyaki steak with sweet corn chowder. The appetizers(potato wedges & steamed veggies) were definitely something anyone could make at home, but were tasty and well prepared. The teriyaki steak legitimately scared me thinking it was a beef patty. The flavor and texture was so similar, we were blown away. The sweet corn chowder was delicious, if we come back I will undoubtedly order the same exact thing. Being here relatively empty on Easter, our server was delighted to have us and was very sweet and attentive.

We visited Vegilicious yesterday. First off, the interior is absolutely adorable. You can tell most of the items are handmade, love the décor. It reminds me of my obachan. We had no problem finding a seat, it wasn’t busy. The staff/owners are lovely. They are extremely pleasant and kind. My husband ordered curry, with«meat» and rice. He ate all of it, and loved it. My daughter had the kids meal and she loved it! The kids meal is exactly how I make my daughters so I was very pleased. It’s very balanced and nutritious. For myself, I ordered the corn chowder and miso soup. It was amazing! Currently daydreaming of the corn chowder. It reminds me of my trips to Japan as a little girl. This restaurant uses organic produce. That’s huge! We used to frequent other vegan restaurants, but this is by far the only one on a mission to bring better health to the community. They’re spreading a wonderful message as well as providing delicious food! This is the best place to go. We will be coming back often!

Wait, the food here is all vegan? Sure fooled me. VegiLicious is a hidden gem that serves delicious and healthy alternatives to the junk we all consume on the daily. The corn chowder is really tasty and the chicken tenders taste like chicken! Turkey burger was good too. The service is friendly and sincere. Kind of reminds of eating a home cooked meal when I visit my parents. :)

My wife and I have been here several times. She is vegetarian, but I am not. Of course, she enjoys the food and the selection. Surprisingly, I like the food too! The«chicken» curry is very good and has a traditional taste. The Gods pickles are very tasty! Our kids are not curry fans, so that limits them a bit. My nine year old likes the«chicken» sandwich and my six year old likes the nuggets.

Very good food overall. The beet and sweet potato salad is very fresh and has great flavor as well. The walnuts in it provide a great crunch factor as well. For the main, I had the teriyaki burger. Again tasty, although I think the party was one from Boca but the combo of veggies and sauces made it really taste great. The location is a bit tough to find off google maps but just walk a bit and there it is.

Been here twice and satisfied inside out. And spent like half(@ the springs L.A. where I was more mad after eating paying sky high for bad foods). The sundae is amazing; i would skip the granola next time however. The miso soup is wonderfully filing. Everything is decently priced.

One of my new favorite restaurants! It’s a feel good place where you can eat healthy and cruelty free! Absolutely love all their concepts! It’s a little laid back hole in the wall type of place! Drinks– got the iced matcha green tea lattes which were excellent. Lightly sweetened to perfection! Food– I got a combination plate with their BBQ chick’n, miso soup, and rice. Miso soup was amazing! Probably one of the best miso soups I’ve ever had. The rice and chick’n paired perfect together! It had my mouth watering! My boyfriend got the teriyaki burger which I will be getting next time! Simply amazing. Best vegan burger hands down! The texture and taste was the same as a normal burger, but even better! Teriyaki sauce was crazy good too! Also came with a side a edamame which had some sort of sea salt on it. Perfect dish! Finished with some green tea vegan ice cream. My boyfriend is a green tea fanatic and he gives it five stars! Service– super friendly and sweet waitress! On top of her tables and anyone who walks in the door! Only con I have is that it takes a little long for food and drinks, but that is to be expected when waiting for amazing quality food! Can’t wait to come in again!

If you are looking for HIGH quality and SO-good for your body food, look no further!!! So happy I found this hidden gem right behind trader joes in the shopping plaza with my husband on our trip down to socal. I had known about this place, and had been wanting it to try for a very long time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cute, quaint, and comfortable. They were playing nice music and it is an ambience you can relax. The waitress and owner were very friendly also which added to the experience :) You can really tell that the owner truly cares about the health of the customers, and has created an out of this world menu — satisfying your palette with truly nourishing organic ingredients! I had the angel hair salad with the corn chowder soup(A MUST!), and my husband had the very popular meatless teriyaki burger with a side of the corn chowder as well. EVERYTHING was so delicious, we could not believe it was vegan! We usually eat anything, but with this kind of tasty food we believed we could become vegan no problem! Meaning, carnivores, you will be satisfied here as well! not just for hippy vegetarian folks. It was a hot day and we both had the lemonade and very berry lemonade infused with coconut water — super refreshing! Finished our meal with a delicious non-dairy cheesecake. We were surprised at how FULL we were, even though we just ate a bunch of vegetables! I live in nor-cal…but I CANTWAITTOGOBACK! I love love love vegelicious! Next time I would love to try the curry :)

*Vegan curry*~! Located in HB~! Oh wowowow a vegan CURRY restaurant~!! NOWAY! :D I stumbled across this place by accident trying to find Rita’s Italian Ice, which I did a review on. Go there for dessert after you go here. YUM. Some menu items: ~Japanese Curry(vegetable or tofu) I wish I could have both. ~Japanese«Burger» ~Teriyaki«Burger» ~Grilled«Chicken» Sandwich ~Miso Soup(and not just any miso soup) ~Cheesecake ~Coconut Ice cream For lunch, my meal came with a mini salad and it was YUM~! I ordered the curry which came with yellow Jasmine rice, and it was more yum. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the quality is guaranteed here. The ingredients are mostly organic if not all and the most natural and quality ingredients are used. I don’t think any sugar is used. The curry is GLUTEN-FREE. If you aren’t aware yet, curry dishes served in restaurants DO have gluten. Search no more if you’re a curry lover but are sensitive to gluten. I do want to come back to try the miso soup~! It’s a hearty soup with lots of vegetables and tofu~! I really wish they would give a sample of it with your meal or at least allow to buy a side order. They only offer it as a meal so I’d have to come back for it, but I’m pretty darn sure I’ll like it! Such a cutesy place here. Not busy at all. I am not sure if it’s always not busy but I hope this place stays. Not many vegan places around, curry too! I think there is not enough advertisement for this place. It’s hidden. Trader Joe’s is here which you can see from the parking lot. I was curious to see if anything was inside the plaza so I walked inside and at first I seen a juice/smoothie place but when I seen this place, I wanted to try it out!~!! I am definitely coming back! I really like the décor of the place. If it’s a nice day, they have tables outside as well. The owners are very nice and I love to support independent smaller businesses. Akira is the husband and he will take your order, serve you your food, and make sure everything is okay. If you’re not, just let him know. He wants everyone to be happy. Than head over to Rita’s Italian Ice and get something to-go, and head over to the beach~! It’s only a few miles away. :) Hours ~Mon — 12:00 pm — 3:00 pm. 5:30 pm — 9:00 pm ~Tue — Closed ~Wed — 12:00 pm — 3:00 pm. 5:30 pm — 9:00 pm ~Thu — 12:00 pm — 3:00 pm. 5:30 pm — 9:00 pm ~ Fri — 12:00 pm — 3:00 pm. 5:30 pm — 9:00 pm ~Sat — 12:00 pm — 3:00 pm. 5:30 pm — 9:00 pm ~Sun — 12:00 pm — 3:00 pm. 5:30 pm — 9:00 pm Thanks for reading~!! ~*kenzie*~
