I really seem to have the ability to pick bad days to come here for a dole whip float. I’ve put off writing this review for many months. I stopped by on Friday with a friend to get dole whip floats and this is the 5th time i was told that they were out, or the machine wasn’t working. I give up I cant believe I’m the only one that has this luck. Since we were already there we decided to get a couple scoops of ice cream, I had the vanilla and cherry which was good. The lady behind the counter felt bad about how many times I’ve tried to get a float there and comped one scoop which was cool. I give up on the dole floats with this place, I wont be back

Ok, so the ambience and look of the place is pretty sad. It’s rundown and there is only one person working it. She was really sweet and helpful, but hopefully it’s not on it’s last leg. Some of the prices are super awesome and some are decent. I got a groupon for 4 people to get two Hawaiian dogs and a dole whip/float. This was an awesome deal, two dogs and a dole whip for $ 7 or $ 28 for the 4 people. The hot dogs were huge and the amount of whip given was awesome. The dole whip tasted like what you would get at Disneyland, similar enough. I would go here only if I have more groupons, it’s not the closest to my place and hidden in some random small shopping center. It wasn’t bad, but not somewhere I’d go often because I go to Disneyland twice a week anyways. :)

Is this place ever opened? I tried over the last several weeks to use the second part of my groupon and the place is always closed. I thought it would at least be open on Tuesdays, but nope, closed! No sign on the door, nothing. It has great ice cream, when it’s open.

Awesome food and ice cream when they actually have what you want. We’ve ordered from them 3 – 4 times and unfortunately they were out of items pretty much every time. When they do have why you want it’s great but it’s incredibly frustrating to have to change or cancel the order so often because of lack of inventory. We won’t be getting anything from them again because of this which sucks because we actually do like their food and the Dole Whip is delicious l

Came here today super excited to get the Dole whip and it’s CLOSED! Nobody’s inside and their sign says that on Mondays they open at 12pm. Even Unilocal says they should be open. SOANNOYED!

I think they are closed for good. Went there at 3pm on a Thursday and door locked. No sign. When I call their phone number it says your call can’t be completed as dialed. :(

I had a Groupon so I went there on Sunday and the guy working there shut the door and drove off as we pulled up. We went to the door just to see what their open hours were because we thought they closed early on Sundays since the guy just drove off. There was handwritten note stating they were making a delivery and will be back. So we went to the Farmers Market nearby to kill time. We came back after 20 minutes or so and found one guy behind the counter trying to take orders and serve the Hawaiian hotdogs and ice cream. He told us that another worker couldn’t make it in so he was there all alone. The Groupon gave us 2 hotdogs and 1 dessert per person. The Hawaiian hotdogs had chunks of Dole pineapples out of a can(I saw the can) and a cold rubbery piece of bacon on a Hawaiian sweet roll. We got the Dole float as dessert. They hardly had any ice cream in their case. If you’re expecting Baskin Robbins 31 different flavors there… you wont find that. I understand the guy was busy so he kinda just quickly got our order out as fast as he could. I feel bad he was all alone but I wasn’t impressed with the hotdog or float. It wasn’t that tasty. I definitely wouldn’t go back there or buy another Groupon there.

Ok, lets talk about ice cream. First of all I love the young lady behind the counter not because she let me have my fill of samples. And these aren’t your typical sample size, you get a regular spoon worthy size. They serve blue bell ice cream and it’s tasty. They offer an array of flavors, I personally loved the cherry vanilla with pieces of maraschino cherries. We ended up getting the ice cream sandwich with macadamia chip cookie with rocky road as the filling. It was tasty. It’s a tucked away in the plaza next to some really good Broasted Chicken.

Awesome staff, amazing products! Blue bell is the best ice cream in the country(it’s even their slogan) and the Dole Whip is the cherry on top. Great place and luckily it is within walking distance from our home! Love it!

This place has some very flexible store hours. The sign and Unilocal claim they close at 9pm so you would expect the place to be open at 7:30pm. Was it? Of course not. Same thing happened yesterday around 3:30pm. If they are open til 9pm, why are they closed that early in afternoon. They lost over $ 20 just from me not to mention other customers. Very sad given how great the 1st impression was.

Whipped OC is is little dessert shop that serves ice creams, dole whip, crepes, and other foods like hot dogs and snacks. The inside is small but not crowded, and it is moderately clean, but not the most tip top. I went to try the boba because there was a buy one get one free check in offer but all four times I’ve gone, they have never had boba made. This is quite disappointing, however; their dole whip and desserts are nice. Their dole whip float is a bit too juicy and melts quickly, but just the soft serve is delicious and very affordable($ 3.50 for a large if I remember correctly). Their Blue Bell ice cream is probably just as good as Haagen Daaz but a little more expensive. Is is enjoyable though. On Tuesday’s there are various specials, one of which is $ 2 Hawaiian dogs. They are very good — a hot dog in Hawaiian buns with pineapple. They’re sweet and a nice deal :-) All in all, they have some good options and pretty affordable treats with an okay environment. If you like Disney’s dole whip, this is a place to try it without having to go there!

Blue Bell ice cream is my favorite; even after all of the dumb controversy. Unfortunately, this business doesn’t have many options when it comes to a variety of flavors. They advertise that they do, but don’t. Kind of sucks…

WHATTTTTTTT why such low reviews. Ice cream is whatevers but it’s real blue bell ice cream so that’s not their fault but the pineapple whip is so yummy. Hawaii in Huntington beach! It is out of the way and no major freeways near by but close to bella terra. Pros: Lots of parking chalkboard wall good & fast service hawaiian style pineapple dole whip price Next to huckleberry’s cons: out of the way

Only tried this place out cause of a groupon. For the price of the groupon vs food, it was pretty good, but I wouldn’t pay full price for it. I paid $ 15 off groupon for 4 hawaiian hot dogs and 2 dole whip floats. I thought the hot dogs were okay, but the hawaiian bread seemed really smushed. The dole whip was pretty good.

Dole Whip Floats enough said. Love those whips add pineapple juice, bomb. Also tried their Hawaiian Hot Dog, which was simple but tasty. Hot dog is a decent size, all beef dog on a Hawaiian Hot Dog bun. Then they cover with pineapple bits and bacon bits. Simple enough but works. I just added mustard and ketchup and bravo, perfection. Place is a basic ice cream shop with great service. Dog runs you $ 4, on Tues it’s only $ 2. The float was just under $ 5, on Tues get a mini float for $ 2.

The owner is super friendly and serves up a mean hot dog topped with pineapple and bacon on a Hawaiian roll for only $ 4! Come here on taco Tuesday and get the same dog for $ 2! I love tacos as much as anyone, but this may become my new un-taco Tuesday spot! The Dole whip float is not too shabby either!

Oooh the ice cream cookie sandwich was the perfect size for only 2 bucks! They have a nice assortment of ice cream also. I was a bit hesitant to order the cookie sandwich since the cookies looked like they’d been sitting for a while but you can’t go wrong with Otis Spunkmeyer cookies! The banana foster ice cream was absolutely delicious as well. It was the perfect combo for the perfect little dessert I was craving. The place does feel a bit uninviting and lonely when you walk in. If they could update their décor that would help out a lot.

Came in after order dinner next door at Fuji Burger. I knew I would have a late night sweet tooth, so, I ordered a coffee shake mixed with mocha almond fudge… OMG. That shake was off the hook! And that Blue Bell ice cream they use makes all the difference in the world. Made me reminisce about the old days when I lived on the east coast. $ 4.50 was well worth it for that sweet treat. I’ll be back to try the Dole Whip!

Place is a little hard to find, but it’s on Gothard in a plaza where Fuji is. The plaza was pretty dead around 8PM on a Saturday night… so plenty of parking and full attention from the worker. So I bought a Unilocal deal like a year ago and so it was going to expire… What we got: 2 Scoop Ice Cream: Rocky Road & Mint Chocolate Chip($ 4.30): I don’t think my BF tasted a difference considering it was Blue Bell ice cream… he devoured it before I could even finish 1⁄3 of my dole whip float… They have a good variety of different ice cream flavors, but nothing you haven’t seen before. Dole Whip Float($ 5.75): first time trying it and I wasn’t impressed. So the dole whip float has a pineapple flavored soft serve, pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, and a cherry. I like pineapple, but this is pineapple overload! If you love pineapple then it is definitely worth a try. The soft serve has a tartness to it which I wasn’t very fond of… you could totally share it between 2 people though. Service: Since no one was really there… we got our ice cream and float right away. No trouble with the Unilocal deal. Seating inside and outside. They have shave ice and food too, but didn’t have the chance to try it. Don’t know if I would come back to try it though…

BLUEBELL ice cream and DOLEPINEAPPLEWHIP! And I absolutely DESPISE pineapple. haha. Looking for Blue Bell ice cream and don’t want to fly to the south to get it? Well then, come here because Whipp’d has it! The place is small and Blue Bell is hugely popular so don’t be surprised if you don’t find the flavor you want when you get here. Be patient and understanding and appreciate the fact that they don’t stock pile everything. Prices are a bit high but that’s okay since you shouldn’t eat this stuff on a regular basis anyway, and I see these things as novelty rather than normalcy, so I don’t mind paying $ 3 for a small cup of whip, which by the way, is served high above the lip. The plaza is a small, cramped, pot holed lot behind other buildings and impossible to see from the main street, but if you find yourself here, give it a shot, and if you want something salty, order up a Hawaiian dog: Sweet rolls, hot dog, bacon, and pineapple chunks.
