This review is strictly for the dance club portion of the restaurant on Saturday nights. The dance club has good music. The good: music(Cumbia, bachata, regeton, punta) and entrance is $ 5 The bad: this is a whole in the wall type of place that gets jam packed after 11pm. Why? The music. Cash only unless you want to use their ATM machine. They have a very limited selection of drinks(beer, mojitos, margarita, adiós, sex on the beach). They will not accommodate requests or modifications. Not even if it’s just whiskey and soda water. They can’t do that. Why? Because they are lame. The crowd is a mixed crowd from people in their 50s trying to get their grind on down to 18 year olds also trying to get their regetton grind on. Some of the girls are way over dressed like if they are at some fancy dtla club and others underdressed. Haha. The girls tho are much better looking than the guys. So this is a little unfair but good for the men. Sorry girls. Most of the men are short and dress terrible. Sorry tall girls. As I said this place gets full. Surprisingly and in my opinion over capacity. Those who arrive early get tables and those arriving around 11 will be standing. There is a lot of security men walking around. I think I counted about 6! This probably means people get shit drunk and act really stupid late at night. I came with my friend on a Saturday night only because we had nothing else to do but we wanted to hear regeton and not pay a crazy cover fee anywhere else. We left at midnight because we could not stand the ghetto crowd anymore. Thank god it was only $ 5 cover. We got what we paid for.

You can’t expect 5 star service in 3 star restaurant I read 2 negative reviews here on Unilocal about the guy saying that the music was too loud so what that’s what you expect if you come here on Friday or Saturday night if you wanted quiet go to olive garden. Anyways I been to Copan Sula only once before is no bad at all if you like good baleadas, enchiladas and Yuca or tajaditas this is the place. the baleadas are great and so are the enchiladas not to mentioned platano frito fried plantain yes the service is not the best and they usually take forever to bring your food besides that you will totally enjoy the food.

This place is so bad I don’t even know where to start. This place is so loud… There’s a jukebox blasting bad music to the top of volume.(you actually scream to the waitress) There’s only one waitress The waitress doesn’t speak English or have any knowledge of the menu. My friend speak Spanish and he wanted to know what ingredients were on «caracol soup of what was caracol for that matter. She only replay«I don’t know’ It took 30 min to get our order on the table The food was ok but over priced… I paid $ 21 dollars for a bowl of caracol soup and a soda my friend paid $ 18 for a 2 piece fry chicken with Tajadas(slices of fry green bananas) WTF! There were a fly flaying around our food There’s a bunch of junkies and drunk people on the parking lot I definitely won’t be back at this place. to me this is the worst restaurant I had ever been.

I can’t believe I am back at this place since Casa Honduras closed years ago. My friend and I went to the new Casa Honduras located on Vermont and 92nd looking forward to a night of punta dancing. When we got there(around 10:30pm), the parking lot was empty save for a couple of cars. I immediately got out of the car and went and asked the security guard if he was expecting more people anytime soon and he said, «They no longer have a night club here. It’s moved to this location.» He proceeded to hand me a flyer that showcased«Sucios Fridays.» Hells yeah my friend and I were down! Sounds like my kind of place! We drove to this«Copan Sula» and I come to realize, when we get there, that it is the same location as the old«Casa Honduras.» There is no cover and there was no line. We just walked on in and it was the same set-up as Casa. A lot of perreo against the wall when reggaeton is playing. They played punta for a little bit and then moved onto to cumbia, merengue, and hip-hop. I like the place, albeit it’s not your fancy Conga Room, I love it anyway! I will be back!

So, essentially this is the new version of the restaurant/nightclub Casa Honduras. Came here with my friend in the hopes they play punta all night, like they used to play at Casa. This place seemed pretty dead for a Friday night though. Maybe Saturday nights are a little more crowded. On weekends, they promote«Dirty Fridays» and«Urban Saturdays.» It’s pretty much a hole in the wall in the ghetto. A restaurant in the day and wetter night club at night. Punta, reggaeton, bachata, Spanish rock, and some hip hop. My favorite kind of place to work out a sweat! Will definitely return next time I am in town, but will come on a Saturday night instead.
