I would like to change my rating to 4 because the first time I went, I went for lunch and the selection for lunch wasn’t that great. There was a lot of option to choose from but the taste of the food should of been better. I went for dinner awhile back and I must say what a difference. They had even more selection to choose from and it was delicious. It is pricey tho so if you’re looking for a cheap buffet than this is not a spot for you.

My 18⁄19 year old self would rate this place a 10/5, when I’m rational this place isn’t anything special. What’s with the lack of seafood at chinese buffets? They have a sushi bar, korean bbq, and some other specialty in the back of the buffet. When they get busy sometimes they charge before you even eat the food PLUS they add a gratuity tax. Bitch please, I got up and served my own food, why are yall charging 15% gratuity? SMH! They have a strictly Chinese buffet table, an American table, an awesome ice cream machine, and horrible pastries.

Ugh, my stomach is still revolting 12 hours after having lunch at «best» buffet. I haven’t been back to this place in years, and from what I remember, it wasn’t that bad before. When it first opened it was really the best chinese buffet around. A bit more pricey but had quality tasty chinese food. What happened to it? When we were there, there was definitely a lot less quality food to choose from, and whatever I got just tasted stale. We witnessed a girl throwing up right in the restaurant, and after we left we were all just unsatisfied and all our stomachs felt uneasy an hour later… never again!

The food was super. So why the 2 stars? The name is changed and it’s the same place. I went there last night after coming back from the Mohegan Sun, because 1) I was exhausted and couldn’t sit and wait at some slow moving restaurant and 2) Needed a quick energy boost, and knew I could go straight in and nibble on some stuff instantly. There was too much food to try so you will see some amazing things you just can’t even attempt to nibble at. The carving station was amazing, prime rib, duck, lobster, then there was lamb chicken and beef sticks, tons of great looking colorful sushi, dumplings of all kinds, lobster mixed with melon at another table, crab which I saw but couldn’t make it back for. I never even went to the soups or salad or hot chinese food. Since the name change — Now the tips are added in to the bill at 12.5% to the house likely not the waiters. I came with my friend who asked the server about picketing out front by the employees awhile back(which I was unaware of until I heard it out of my friends mouth) and he teasingly asked her if she was involved. «Nooo» she said laughing, that was the old company. Oh ok. :) I said nothing remembering what I wrote here in 2008 — I knew there were labor issues with the tips. I guess it’s just a glimpse of the tip of the iceberg(no pun intended) of what is part of the China culture. high output at the lowest cost for the workers. It’s kind of extravagent in terms of effort while militant behind the scenes. The buffet looks like capitalism gone wild… meanwhile the servers can’t get a tip. Scary contrast. Eat up and scare the servers by trying to tip them. Ohhhh nooooooo… I cannnn’t have that… Oh really? Then you get 2 stars for all that yummy food. The little fish thing wrapped in bacon with a white sauce underneath made it impossible to type in 1 star even to make a point. :)
