I went to the store because I had to do multiple things and get everything done in one day. So I dropped off my prescription and also dropped off a roll of film. The pharmacist told me that the prescription will be ready in 30 minutes. And the photo station told me that my pictures will be ready also in 30 minutes. So I browsed the store and pick up a few necessities and to my surprise the prescription was ready prior to 30 minutes :-) and the film was ready in approximately 35 minutes I was truly impressed. My cashier was courteous and professional and even encouraged me to get the Walgreens card which I did the :-) I will certainly come back to this store :-)

Stopped by on Christmas Day to pick up a few last minute items. Unfortunately, everyone else in the area had the same idea. With only two cashiers working the line to check out was absurdly long. The customer service was less than stellar, however, if I were forced to work on Christmas Day I don’t think I would be too happy either. On another note the store itself was fairly clean and was well-stocked for being as busy as it was. The parking lot provides ample space and is fairly easy to enter and exit.

I was using the photo section of this Walgreen’s. I made an order online; which I’ve done many times before and pick it up at the store. That also gives me the chance to shop for anything else that I need. However, the quality of this store is declining by the minute… But we will get back to that later… lets go to the photo services of the store. I picked up my online order with no problems. I did have some film to develop(4 rolls of 35mm). I asked to have one set of prints for each film as well as a CD of each roll. This is where everything went downhill… I came back the next day to pick up the order. I do have the receipt that clearly states that each roll must have a CD and a set of prints. As the young kid behind the counter started to ring the order, I decided to check it. I noticed that only CD’s but none of the prints were done except for one roll; and that roll had no CD. I told the cashier about the mistake, which he stated that he could do the CD by 8pm(it is 5pm). I said I come back tomorrow. The next day, I come back to find that the order was not done. The little kid(same one from the day before) says to me: «will be ready in 5 minutes». I am not happy by this point so I decided to walk through the store. Five minutes later I come back and he says, another 5 minutes. I decided to take the dog for a walk(she was waiting for me in the car). I go around the neighborhood with the doggy for 30 minutes. I came back and the CD was finally done. The young kid was nice enough not to charge me for it and used my last name(impressive!) which does count for something. Now, back to the store… I’ve been coming to this store for over 2 years now. I’ve seen the quality of this Walgreen’s just go downhill and not in a good way at all. I find that I am constantly running into shopping or cargo/trucks carts with merchandise to be stocked, just left in the aisles. No one from the Walgreen’s staff placing them in the racks. And the racks are just a mess. Items on the floor, racks messed up and just plain disorganization. Finally, I did see the Manager of the store talk to a customer(an issue with a discrepancy between the price charged and the price posted — which did happened to me when I bought fire logs and I was charged twice the price! But was refunded the difference right away). The Manager did not seem to be too pleasant or approachable. The staff is just chatting with each other and not actually«working» a priority. One time I did find one of the employees«texting» from her cell phone at the cosmetic counter and another one on his cell phone. I will continue to come here as it is the closest Walgreen’s to my home. I do have the option of Rite Aid which I might have to venture to or the new CVS that opened in Jericho Turnpike recently.
