having grown up in new jersey and then moving to philly and boston for 5 years I was SIKED to be back in the ny area for an opportunity to enjoy a REAL breakfast. a friend of mine highly recommended this place as the go-to spot for egg sandwiches. what a let down. the bagels didn’t look or taste homemade in any way, shape, or form. it definitely wasn’t as bad as if it came from a bag but my belief is that they receive them in a cardboard box every morning. if this is not the case then they are doing something wrong. the egg ham and cheese on an egg bagel was just okay… the everything bagel i also got lacked flavor and they skimped big time on the store brand(cant confirm but i imagine since they only have one flavor) cream cheese. it was by no means horrible food but it tasted like something id get in boston… which is not saying much. the reason they are getting 1 star is because of the service. the girl behind the counter was nice and the long haired young man is phenomenal(I went once before for a turkey sandwich and he was very nice and helpful). the kid with the shaved head was really rude and impatient. I can deal with that though, it’s new York. the absolute worst part of the experience was that I seriously waited just shy of twenty minutes at 11:00pm in an almost empty bagel shop for my simple sandwich and bagel. all the while I can hear laughing and casual conversation from their poor excuse of a kitchen. I will NEVER come back to this out of the way«deli»

Oh man. This place. Never before have other reviewers been so right. The BEC is cheesy goodness with crispy bacon and the Arnold Palmer is awesome. Hangover… see ya! Sure, it’s a bit out of the way, parking stinks and there’s often a line on weekends, but if you need to get that grease in ya to start feeling human again after a long night and Munday’s is too daunting a task, there’s nothing better than breakfast here. It’s a normal deli beyond all my bfast gushing, but do a BEC here, it’s legit.

Long Island deli food, only natives know what that means. They have great breakfast sandwiches but lunch is skimpy on the cold cuts. The place could use a good steam cleaning, all the posts are weeks, if not months old, bacon grease has stained everything. All the locals come here. I’m not sure if it’s because the food is good or it’s the only NY deli place around. The latter seems to be true. Packed for lunch, long waits. Want a great sandwich? A few doors north to Caruso’s where you’ll get an Italian hero or anything else that you’ll remember.

Great food that goes way beyond fabulous breakfast sandwiches. Family owned and they hire local teens to work for them. Stable management staff insures consistent quality. Get you food there and walk across the street to enjoy one of the best views in Huntington while you eat.

I love bay deli but the past few times they have messed up my order which is disappointing! The sandwiches are good but the customer service could be a little better! I went back in today because they messed up one of my sandwiches and they didn’t even apologize or anything. The egg sandwiches are the best in town though!

I enjoy the food when they get it right. Phone orders seldom turn out the way it was placed.

Did I not get the full experience? I ordered 2 whites and bacon on a roll, and what I got was nothing special. The same I would have gotten from any deli around the area. What happened?!

Gotta give this place the highest of rankings. Since I was a little kid I’ve been coming here to get a fresh egg sandwich and a half and half. I don’t think I’ve ever left disappointed — they do something special with their eggs that I haven’t yet figure out — its like the Bay Deli secret sauce for eggs. Whatever it is it is brilliant. They consistently serve up some of the best egg sandwiches to this day. I’ve also had delicious roast beef and other cold cut sandwiches here. The portions are huge and always professionally made in the sense that the sandwiches are put together in a way that they are neat and do not fall apart.

Great breakfast sandwiches! And they serve breakfast until 2! They place is tiny and can get a little stuff so call your order in. Boars head standard, large variety of drinks and chips etc… Good half and half, but not better than cold spring harbor deli. But still good food. Some times the kids that work the counter are unbearably rude to customers, ignoring people by carrying on with their own conversations. But forget about them, get a big breakfast sandwich for a great price.

Look enough has been written about their egg sammiches. They’re great. I haven’t had one in years because I’ve developed a love for their lunch sammiches. The Slacker with bacon, The Monterrey melt, the Ranch hero, good grief they’re all deadly. Seriously though, if you’re going to walk in on a Saturday or Sunday anywhere between the hours of 10AM and 2PM do yourself a favor and call ahead.

This is one of those Huntington cult places where the line is almost always out the door and everyone is wearing sweatpants… and for good reason. You can get what is possibly the best deli-style egg sandwich in the afternoon. It is a pretty simple place with no seating and basic counter, but the food is great. I spent a good few years riding my motorcycle the long way through Huntington Bay to get breakfast in the afternoon only to ride the long way back. If you’re visiting(and especially if you are not from lower New York), this is a must try. Remember if the«deli» is connected to a gas station, it isn’t a real«deli». Bay Deli is a f’n deli.

Best egg sandwich in the world, very cheap, family owned, lots of high school kids work there, which is nice. I love bay deli!

I miss Bay Deli all the time. In addition to being the cheapest, theirs are the best egg sandwiches ever. Really — runny, soft, amazing bites in every sandwich. There’s no seating(there’s barely even standing room most mornings), but everyone just wants to get back outside and eat as soon as humanly possible anyway. I know I do. I would go back to Huntington right now just for a two-egg sandwich with cheese, salt, and pepper. Sometimes potatoes too, but only sometimes.

The egg sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had in the tri-state area. The chicken cutlets seem to be always fresh. Downsides are that they don’t take credit cards(probably for tax evasion purposes), and they do not have the collection of store made salads, whether they be antipasto, potato salad, etc., that most New York delis seem to have.

Wonderful style NY Style egg sandwiches that are actually made in cast iron skillets and served hot on a fresh roll. Good prices on their sandwiches a classic deli for a good sandwich.
