Mazzar Grill

Great place for some exotic ethnic food! We had the eggplant appetizer and the combo plate – lamb and chicken kebob with chickpeas, rice, and grilled veggies. It was absolutely delicious! The meats were so flavorful and the rice just absorbed the spices so well. One of the best lunches ever! I would recommend this as a lunch spot or take-​out since there aren’t too many seating options here… just a big picnic table sorta bench. Prices wise. I thought it was a bit pricey for the portion… but I suppose it’s worth it for the taste. I would definitely come back. Next time I want to try to chicken entrees, which seemed more reasonably priced. But definitely check this place out if you are in the area.

Excellent quality food. The spinach and rice, chicken kabobs amazing ! The perfect take out and only minutes from my home. Love it. In the nice weather, you can grab some food and go sit across the street on huntington harbor. Just lovely.

Great take out. The Chicken Kebab with rice and beans was out of this world. The staff was very nice and it is exceptionally clean inside. My new go to take out spot in Huntington for sure!

The food at Mazzar Grill is delicious and always fresh. The kebabs are juicy and tender. My all time favorite is the burrito. it is chock full of wonderful chicken and awesome flavors with a wonderful sauce. The rice is incredible. The owners are always kind and courteous. It is a wonderful addition to Huntingtons array of different foods.

Spectacular food! Ordered dinner for 2 here tonight after reading so much about it. We had 1 lamb kebab and 1 chicken kebab. The meat was succulent and juicy. I wish I knew what spices they use – so unique. We each had 2 sides: rice, spinach and potatoes. (Comes with a choice of 2). Food was fresh and cooked to order. Mentioned to the owner it was my first try & he gave me chicken soup as well. Such nice people running the place! You can eat there if you must – just a small picnic table but clean & bright. Such a refreshing restaurant and a nice break from the overcrowded overpriced wannabes in town!!! Seemed busy when I was there waiting. Hope it stays open forever. We will definitely be back soon to try even more dishes!

This place is unlike any kabob place i’ve tried before. I come here whenever I’m in Huntington and every time I leave I crave to return. The chicken burrito is one of my favorites. A great fusion of flavors that provides a perfect choice for lunch. You also can’t go wrong with lamb and chicken kabob with a side of Mazzar’s basmati rice and spinach. The rice really pulls out all the flavors in the kabob and the spinach brings another layer of flavor that leaves me wanting more.
Some of my other favorites are the chicken rotisserie with their famous green sauce and pretty much all the starters and sides, including the eggplant, cauliflower, hummus, and black beans. Also when you’re there be sure to try their cream rolls, they are heavenly to say the least.
The food truly feels homemade and every time I have it the quality is the same if not better. You can taste the care for good ingredients.

Mazzar is a hidden gem begging to be discovered by foodies from all over. The ingredients used are fresh and of the highest quality. The flavor levels achieved are absolutely mind blowing. I could eat Mazzar every single day of my life. The owners are incredibly nice and you never wait more that 15 or 20 minutes for your food even at the busiest times of day. If you are looking for great middle eastern take out… Look no further, you have found the absolute best place there is in the area.

LOVE this place! We get the same takeout a few times a month (whole rotisserie chicken with rice and beans) and it is always delicious. Call in the order before you leave because it can take some time to prepare but it is definitely worth the wait! Owners are very nice.

I was working for a guy in the Wincoma neighborhood nearby so I decided to stop in today. I had been meaning to check it out. I am an avid goer of middle eastern cuisine spots, after living in Europe and finding that the best food was kabob. I just love the spice. And I have to say, upon discovering this place, I realized I uncovered a gorgeous gem.
The lamb is beautifully seasoned and perfectly tender meat, not chewy like most «Mediterranean» places. I mean, it’s just perfectly grilled, spiced, and tender. The rice is gorgeous, perfectly cooked, very nicely seasoned with a touch of high quality olive oil, and authentic. I had the grilled vegetables, and they were just the way I liked them. So nicely grilled, juicy and flavorful.
I asked for some chili sauce, the man who must run the place said well, we have this jalepeno sauce… I thought, that’s odd. But then I tasted it.
Amazing. Nice balance of cilantro and spice… Not typical for this kind of food, but with the dill yogurt sauce, it just blends perfectly. They have a little garden in the back. I think the chef is a young woman… who is clearly a genius.
This place is on my way home so, yeah… Hopefully they’ll have my picture on the wall by next year for eating the most kabobs, in the world.

Delicious!!! The chicken here is the most amazing I’ve ever had. The spinach is my favorite side & the sauces on the side I could drink. This is our favorite take out place!

Best take out at best prices in Huntington … Made fresh daily and when it’s gone it’s gone. They may have a garden on premises for herbs etc, which is why the food tastes so great.
The (whole) chicken dinner with two sides for $ 22 is well worth it. Fed two adults easily.
Also: Delicious rice and same for beans. The other side option is grilled veggies… Also good. Just the right amount of spice. Note: they’re happy to cut the whole chicken in half and package the meal in two containers. Made for a perfect take out for the beach. Two sauces — 1 yogurt … 1 green possibly avocado … We’re very good too!
Check this place out. Huntington is loaded with silly money restaurants. Mazzar should be supported for quality/​price ratio !

I really wanted to like this place. It’s run by what looks like a family, seem like very nice people and had good customer service. Place looks very new, and extremely clean. There aren’t that many places that deliver this type of food close by. Food is very inexpensive, $ 13 for lamb kebab, which has actual chunks of lamb. Big portion sizes.
Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing. The rice was very greasy. The meat was a bit overcooked and hard, and needed to be seasoned better. The grilled veggies tasted like veggies that were de-​frosted before being cooked, didn’t taste fresh. They don’t really have much of a selection on their menu.
They did have a dessert there that was pretty good, it was like cream inside a puff pastry!

The consistent excellence makes Mazzar Grill our go to takeout in Huntington. My favorite is the chicken kabob. Always moist and seasoned just right.

Delicious! I always pass the rotisserie chicken sign on my way home and I always wanted to try it, I’m so glad I finally tried it tonight! My boyfriend and I split the whole chicken with rice and veggies and it was so good. The yogurt sauce added some extra flavor! Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

Very good way off the beaten path kebob place. Small menu and it’s best to do take out. There’s only one bench like table and that’s it. Both the lamb and chicken kebobs were juicy and full of spice and went great with the brown basmati rice. On the side was the chickpeas in a sauce which added a little heat. Service was friendly and quick and it was very cheap. I’ll certainly come back.

I have been looking for a kebob house around Long Island forever, this place rocks!
I ordered a full chicken and it was the most flavorful moist chicken I have ever had.
I also ordered a Lamb kebob, and a Chicken kebob, and they were both wonderful too, the spices were amazing.
For sides we ordered the potatoes, grilled veggies and the spinach, all were good as well.
To top it all off we had those little cream filled sticks… AWESOME!!!
The location is a bit north of the village but still easy to get to, and very well worth it.
I will be back again and again!!!

Chef Frank and his fam are killing it! Huntington needed a place like this. Food has been consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients and reasonable prices it’s no wonder why everyone keeps coming back for more. If you’re looking for some of the freshest kabobs on the island, take out from here (because the only seats they have is a picnic table) and you will be thoroughly pleased time and time again!
