Effective Nail

First time here and wonderful, friendly, welcoming, kind, superb French manicure and relaxing pedicure. Exceptionally clean. Tastefully furnished. We recommend to all.
6÷4÷16 — we live out of state but come here every time we visit. Effective Nail is my absolute favorite nail place! Friendly, attention to detail, reasonably priced and excellent work. We received a complimentary upper back, shoulder and neck massage after our manicures and pedicure.

Awesome nail salon. They offer mani/​pedi combination for only $ 22 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They did a great job and I would recommend the salon.

I went to effective nails due to the positive Unilocal reviews and I am excited to say they exceeded my expectations. I went to the salon for a silk wrap fill in. Jess did a great job paying attention to detail and checked with me multiple times to see what shape and length I wanted. Tools and stations were clean and neat which is one of the things I look for in determining if I will return to a salon. I will definitely visit again for a pedicure and update my review.

Today was my first time visiting and I had a great experience. I haven’t gotten my nails done in years (due to being in an environment where I had to have bare nails) so I went on a Unilocal hunt to find a great nail salon. The reviews are really spot on.
I called asking if I should make an appointment or just walk in and the woman on the phone told me she would set an appointment for me and asked what time I could get there. I got in a few minutes early and Andy took me right away. I didn’t know the exact service I wanted so I explained to him what I was looking for and he knew right away what he could do. I have very short nails that always break from years of acrylics so he went with tips with a gel overlay instead of the acrylic. I have to keep my nails very short (I am a makeup artist and I don’t want to be stabbing clients in the face) and Andy took his time filing and shaping to perfection. He asked after each step if they looked ok (which not many techs do).
With my nail service I also got a hand massage and a short back massage while they were drying. I paid $ 60 for the set (which is what most salons on Long Island charge) and he gave me a punch card for future visits.
I will most certainly be going back!

Professional, clean, kind. thorough, and a gel manicure that lasts at least three weeks!!! Being the owner of 20 years of a hair @ makeup salon I highly recommend this Nail Salon that will only soar its way to the Top! i went based off other reviews and highly recommend Effective Nail Salon. I got the lemon grass– green tea special pedicure ($ 40– well worth the price). The girl took her time, didn’t rush. it included massage, stone massage, callus remover. small back rub after. Place is extremely clean, updated, massage chairs work and staff very friendly! Totally going to go back! Mon– Wed only $ 22 for mani/​pedi! Excellent place!

First visit today and will not be my last! Staff is very friendly, atmosphere is calming and they were playing one of my favorite movies… Goonies! I know! The shop could not be any cleaner. Andy did an acrylic dip and tip set and I really like the look, much thinner than the standard acrylic. He took his time to be sure that all was perfect from the length to the shape to the polish being spot on.

Such a good experience today! I had the lavender mint spa pedicure ($ 30) with Vivian. The place is immaculate and it’s a very quiet atmosphere, super relaxing. I’ll definitely be back! They have a mani/​pedi special Monday –Wednesday for $ 22, I’ll probably do that next time. Really great find in Huntington!

Jess is sensational! She is responsive and does excellent work. The place is kept very clean and inviting.

Just moved to huntington village and I had a great experience at this salon. I walked in for a mani pedi and opted with the lavender mint pedicure. The color choices were pretty good. They had the Essie colors I wanted.
$ 40 got me the special lavender mint pedicure where my legs were wrapped with some kind of moisturizing thing, a scrub, a full ten minute foot and leg massage, manicure and ten minute back massage in a chair by a person.
The place is super clean and everyone there was very nice. The pedicure chairs are great. It was quiet among the staff, which I prefer over other salons I’ve been to with constant chatter. I also liked that I was left to myself to close my eyes and have a truly relaxing experience.
Andy was the guy I went to. He was awesome. Great at shaping nails and taking his time with making sure they were even and painted perfectly.

On a quiet street in huntington diagnol from Starbucks. Very clean and attentive. But, not the most luxurious environment.

I moved to Huntington from the city and for the longest time could not find a nail place out here that didn’t do sloppy work or had you hurrying along. I would actually travel to my old neighborhood to get my nails done until I came here. Effective nail has a relaxing ambiance, is spotless and they know what their doing. Andy is my go to guy, he gives a wicked shape and polishes perfectly! Try this place you’ll thank me!

My boyfriend’s sister and I wanted mani pedis. We walked in to this place and it was great! For $ 28 with 20% off ($ 22) you can’t beat it. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend you check it out!
The massage chairs were great and so were the staff. Everyone was friendly and so sweet.

I always like to support the new businesses in town plus they were running a $ 22 special for a mani/​pedi. Scoooore.
The place was IMMACULATE
I was warmly greeted, and they were nice enough to take my coat and my belongings and hang them up.
Jess took her time with my pedicure, hooked it up with a long massage and cut those nasty cuticles.
When I went to pay the 22 $ (plus tip of course) she gave me 5 $ back and said it was 20% off because It was my first time. How would I have ever known that? MOST people would have kept that $ 5. They were so freakin’ nice. She also gave me a nice back rub while waiting on my nails to dry.
So overall, it was dirt-​cheap, great quality manicure, immaculate, and run by the nicest lady.
I’m coming back!
