Le Bistro never fails to deliver. I’m still a huge fan. We’ve been there 5 – 6 times now, and always left thrilled. Tips– whatever the special is, go with that. It’s always been amazing. Their salmon is always spot on. The truffle oil pasta is usually on the menu, and it’s delicious. The only meals I haven’t been thrilled with were the mahi mahi(and I’d never tasted mahi mahi before, so maybe I just don’t like it in general), and the chicken and waffles. It’s not chicken and waffles– it’s chicken tenders with a waffle breading(that’s not the same thing!). Otherwise– everything has been FANTASTIC. I’d highly recommend.

We have had many big gatherings here and we keep coming back because its consistently great. The food is incredible(best place in town for salmon) but the service is always awesome. Rob went above and beyond for our last party there and we can’t thank him enough for making it perfect. Truly a 5 star experience. Thanks again guys for taking care of us.

Wonderful atmosphere, top notch service and fantastic food. It’s pricey so we do lunch more often. We’ve never been even slightly disappointed and we’ve tried most of the menu.

My brother ordered a steak to be cooked medium and it came out well done. When we asked the server about it she told us that the chef would charge us half of the price because he had eaten half of the steak. Cut your steak in half at this place to check to see it is done to your liking.

We consider ourselves amateur foodies. Today we found a wonder place in «Le Bistro». It is definitely worth the drive and finding a place to park. Please come visit them. Worth a drive anytime. Tomato bisque awesome.

Visiting Huntington WV for my husband’s work. This place is adorable, very open concept with most of the kitchen right next to you and beautiful chandeliers. We each got specialty mixed drinks, which were amazing. Small, but classy menu, with options for vegheads/vegans. Our server was knowledgeable and very sweet. My 4 stars is mainly because the service was a bit slow for it not being too crowded, but more tone to enjoy each others company.

Working lunch with one of my greatest customers. Dropped in around 1pm. Décor is nice and noise level is low and great to allow the discussion. I asked for a soda water with lime to start. Tasted sweet like sprite but the server insisted in was club soda. I’m guessing she hit the wrong button. She did ask if I wanted anything else but I would have appreciated her tracking down the issue. My guess is she hit that«S» on the fountain. I went with the French Dip. It was excellent. The au jus was like a beef & onion soup. The beef was an excellent cut and well seasoned. The bun was crispy with a cheese and garlic concoction on it that was marvelous. All in all, a great place.

So super yummy!!! I can’t believe that I haven’t written a review yet! I love this place, Chris takes great care of you… As do all of the staff! I pretty much eat here every day I’m in town so 3 – 4 times a week. Tonight I had the salmon prepared with lentils and squash… To bad you can’t taste in a review!

Very nice atmosphere, a little upscale if you are looking for somewhere very nice to dine. The service was great, very polite and not overbearing. I had the sweet potato fries and french onion soup and husband had crab cake sandwhich. All was very delicious.

It pains me to have to write this review. We’ve been to Le Bistro five or six times, whenever we are in Huntington to visit our son. We love the food and the service, and have always looked forward to dining there. The food this time was absolutely up to par. My son had the pork with kale and pumpkin and I had the halibut. We shared the shrimp and grits appetizer. Yum! Stellar! The service was not good. And let me hasten to add– I don’t blame our waiter, who was very eager to please. The problem was, obviously, that no one has taken the time to train him in the finer points of service. I had to ask for basic things, like spoons, knives, cream and sugar for my decaf… etc. I even had to ask him to take away dirty dishes. Maybe they need a busser. I tried to get his attention a few times and wasn’t successful. The restaurant was empty, except for one large party which had a different waiter. So I knew he wasn’t distracted. As I said, he was eager to please but lacking in the art of anticipating customers’ needs, which is what one expects in a restaurant of this caliber(and price). As for the three stars, it goes from«meh» to «A-okay». I wish there was something in between.

Superb meals. We both loved the French onion soup. I had the salmon, while my wife had the beef stroganoff and both were excellent.

We went here for mothers day. The food was good, but was overpriced. The roasted chicken was blah, nothing special. You could get better chicken at Texas Roadhouse. The green beans were lame. Just getting a tiny salad with gross dressing and a tiny soup was $ 13. Would not recommend.

I always wanted to go to this restaurant. Finally I did, after my graduation! Great service, very friendly and professional staff and yummy food. Some items in the menu are small, but they are delicious. You should visit their small section downstairs.

This is one of the best places to eat in Huntington. Try the Shrimp and Grits for Lunch. In a state where most fine dining is the Outback Steak House or Longhorn, Le Bistro is a breath of fresh air. I love it.

If the tomato basil soup wasn’t so good it would have received one star. Save your money and go somewhere else. My husband ordered the pork meal and the meat was very under seasoned and the coleslaw wasn’t eatable. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and was under seasoned and extremely over cooked and the seaweed salad tasted like it came from a can. Our drinks never stayed full and of course they didn’t care that we wasn’t pleased with the food. So please for the money you could do so much better avoid this place!

BLUF: Fancy restaurant in nice area of town. Good menu, good drink menu. Good overall in all areas. I went with my grandma, sister and aunt and uncle. It has been several years since I have been in Huntington. It was good to see fancier places thriving. The place was hip and modern but with the older Huntington crowd; no college kids(at least when we were there). We got a bottle of wine which was really nice. I got the burger and it was pretty good but over cooked from my request of medium rare. It was still good. Came with bacon and a cheese that i forget but not your standard cheeses(subtle taste). It was a good burger. Everyone got something different but the only thing I tasted was my sis’ truffle linguini. It was good and not over powering. Solid. No one had room for desert. I have mixed feelings about the service. The guy was very nice but it seemed like everything took much longer than it should have. I was with family so it was nice to be left alone to talk but I could see it being annoying if you werent trying to stay for a long time. Drinks were full, problems solved; just took a long time to get everything. Good solid place. I’d go back and try something else and most likely be very happy.

Don’t know how this landed in Huntington — but glad it did. Wife and I went for the first time on Friday 2⁄13 I made reservations through their online system. Let me start by saying the reason it didn’t receive that 5th star was because they didn’t tell us via email, phone or text that the menu for the weekend was a fixed menu and everyone would be charged $ 75 per meal. That kind of information is important to your(potential) patrons. We agreed to the meal after being seated — and am glad we did. It’s a beautiful restaurant inside. Classy with a modern flair, without being pretentious. All 5 courses were outstanding. The memorable among the courses between my wife and I were: appetizers chicken florentine sweet potato slices Soup tomato bisque(WOW) entrée pork osso bucco with gouda grits Service was outstanding with each course well timed if not just slightly rushed. Definitely on the high side of what we’d pay for such a meal. $ 250 with drinks, tax and tip. This kind of food, service and establishment would go very well anywhere — I just hope Huntington will support this price point!

Fantastic food at Le Bistro’s new addition – Cellar Door Tapas – their basement tapas restaurant to open soon. I went to the pre-opening event & the chicken curry, ribs, spicy meatballs, Spanish style ham, cheese, and olives was awesome. The wine was a select Cabernet. The ambience décor is regal yet soothing in a turquoise wall, comfortable chairs, elegant bar and chandeliers. I cannot wait to return!

This was my first time in West Virginia and I wasn’t sure what to expect from a French bistro here. My co-worker and I really enjoyed our lunch there. She got the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup and I had their famous French Dip sandwich. Ambiance, service and food were all 5-star.
