The Little Garage

This is the best repair shop around. Two other places, including the dealer, couldn’t fix a problem on my BMW … but The Little Garage did. Plus they are less expensive then the dealer.

I dropped off my beloved ’97 BMW M3 project car to get a few things done before winter sets in. I’ve owned the car for a few years now and have worked on it myself as much as possible, but time was running out and I just wanted the car to be back at its best. After reading some reviews I dropped off the car with Matt at the Little Garage along with a box full of parts. I provided a list of known issues and also asked Matt to let me know of any other problems I may have missed. Since I was in no real rush I left the car at the shop for two weeks.
Throughout that time Matt provided me with regular updates on what was being fixed and what additional work needed to be done. There was never any pressure to do anything unnecessary and all work was agreed upon before it was done. I came back to pick up the car and drove it home — good as new and as fun to drive as it could be. I could also tell these guys at the shop really do love the cars and enjoy driving — it’s great to know they treat your car as they would one of their own. Great experience all around.

I came to this place because of a friend’s recommendation and their reputation for working with German cars. They’ve had a long history. I’ve now been a repeat customer for years — whether it be annual oil changes or the more complicated stuff. The staff — even the mechanics — are very friendly and the prices are very honest. I’ve spoken with the techs and they know their stuff. When I needed very wide 315 mm tires put on, the owner was up front about not having a machine that could handle it and sent me to a trusted partner where I got the job done right. He has also advised me at times of services I did NOT need when I thought I did. A few times even before bringing the car down I had questions and Matt answered them with extreme patience and detail. I now have an extended 3^rd party warranty and he worked with them for payment with no hesitation.
Finding a place you can trust counts the most when it comes to auto repair — I’m glad I found one here and I would always direct all my family here as well. Definitely skip the dealership if you’re out of warranty and come here.

I recently moved to NY and had to get a state inspection. Matt (The Little Garage) and Ken (Ace Auto Repair Center) were very friendly and helpful. They were very busy but didn’t push me aside for other customers. Matt even gave me advice when I asked about neighborhoods and house buying in between phone calls and customers walking in. I’d definitely come back here in the future.

Incredible! I have a new Mercedes’s and didn’t want to pay the dealership $ 360 for an oil change, so I just found these guys! For 70% less than mercedes, I received the same service. I would recommend this business to friends… especially those with German cars ;-)!

I drove from queens to have my car checked out here. Very friendly staff, extremely helpful. I’m a total girl and know absolutely nothing about cars. They explained everything. Really cost effective. Great price. Quality work. Def will be returning here with all my car needs. Highly recommend it. And got everything done in 1 day !

I made the 45 min journey from Jackson Heights, Queens, because I really wanted to find someone who I could trust who knew about BMWs. I“m glad I made the trip.
Matt was professional and courteous and answered all my questions. Sorry about all the questions Matt.
He was clear on what he was going to do, wrote it down for me, took me to my car that was on the lift to show me the repairs that were needed right away and others that could wait if I wanted.
They have a good website, so definitely check it out. They are definitely worth a visit. They share their office space with Ace Auto repairs who also seem to honest work.
I saw them to do some regular maintenance work on a new Aston Martin Vantage today and an older Toyota MR2… so, how’s that for diversity?!

I have been using the Little garage for my BMW’s for many years and am a completely satisfied customer. In fact, I have recommended them to many people in the area. He is honest, does only the work he has approved and will call if there is anything beyond the scope he finds once the car is on the lift. I would not consider using anyone else for my cars once beyond warranty. Matt will go above and beyond to help customers.

When I first moved back to Long Island, I came here hoping that I’d save some $ on my much needed BMW repairs, but I left feeling that I a) paid too much for what I got and b) did repairs that I didn’t need to do. I normally can hold my own as far as knowing when mechanics try and rip me off, but for whatever reason I let them convince me that I needed to do this service.
I brought one of my bmw’s here and ended up having to bring it back the next day because the exhaust wasn’t attached properly. I limped my car back to the shop and they did fix it for free but I still felt a bad taste in my mouth about the whole experience.
I tried this shop again with one of my other vehicles and it came back with «Little Garage» lisence plate frames on both front and back (which I didn’t ask for nor authorized to be put on my car). I took off the front frame, but haven’t taken off the rear one yet.
I do NOT recommend this place for BMW work or to find BMW parts.
