We had a special birthday to celebrate for the grandfather of the mad Russian, and we decided to bring him out for a special meal. Toa helped to make sure that goal was achieved with flying colors. Ashley, our server, was a pure delight. Always a smile and quick with a drink or any other request. Food was awesome. Everything we ordered came out either hot or cold as expected. Ashley also made sure that the food did not come out all at once. Nothing worse than having a table so full the food becomes a distraction and gets cold. Dedushka(grandpa) was delighted with watching the chefs prepare the rolls we ordered through the glass and to top of the event, they were kind enough to bring a dessert with a sparkler to make him feel super special on his big day. Awesome vibe to the restaurant and whether you order sushi or an entrée you’ll be delighted with the presentation and taste of the food. I’m looking forward to come back and reliving the experience.

I walked in Sunday about 5 looking to have a bite and some drinks, only to be told we couldn’t sit in the front by the window because there was a party going to be there. OK, so we decided to eat at the bar. The bartender ignored us for a few minutes, then decided to spend another 5 minutes ignoring us because she had her face in another customers phone. I thought the manager who was standing next to her would care, but he ignored us too. So it’s one star, but only because I didn’t get a chance to try anything.

Went here for lunch. Had the sushi. It was amazing and great service! The Phoenix roll was one of the best things I’ve ever had! Definitely try it

Came here for dinner the other night, this place was very good. A new place in town, and right next door to Honu, the front large windows were open when we walked in, giving the front half of the restaurant and bar an open air feel. There were also tables outside on the sidewalk, where people were dining on a nice night. The décor is modern Asian, and you can tell this place put a lot of effort into modernizing and making it hip and trendy. We actually sat at a table towards the back of the restaurant inside, near the sushi bar. Our waitress was a bit too fast, we were celebrating a special occasion and she was all over us to order food and drinks as fast as possible. When we finally did, I went for a basil Hayden’s on the rocks, a spicy yellowtail roll to start, and the half order of Peking duck. The sushi roll was good but tiny, perfect appetizer size. If I were to order sushi for my entrée I’d probably need about four rolls. The Peking duck was pretty good, but not great. It was prepared properly and came with great buns and hoisin sauce, but it just wasn’t as good as I’ve had at tao downtown or Hakkasan in NYC. But, like I said, it was pretty good. Another member of our party got the sushi and sashimi combo platter, which he loved. Another got the shredded beef entrée, which she raved about. Food was very good, and drinks great too. My wife went for a lychee martini, which she said they made excellently. When I ordered my second bourbon, they only had enough for a half glass, which they gave me for free. That was nice. It was packed in the front of the restaurant near the windows, outside, and at the bar, but in the back where we sat near the sushi bar was not crowded at all. If I came back, I would do so on a nice night and sit in the front to take in the outside. I wore shorts and a polo shirt, and was fine. I saw some people even wearing t shirts, didn’t seem to be much of a dress code here. It’s nice to have a good Asian fusion place on the island, as I can only think of a few others. We really enjoyed it, and will definitely be back.

Thought this place was great! Interesting food and menu and a fun atmosphere. The service wasn’t top notch, a little on the slow side but everything else was very good.

Great happy hour specials! Even on Saturday and Sunday. Wines are quality, even on happy hour. You never get that anywhere!

Avoid this place! Ok so we have been here a few times. The food and service have been good for the most part. However we were here last night, on a Saturday and they were out of everything, drinks food etc. we had two people visiting from out of town and they couldn’t even get the drinks they wanted from the bar. They were even out of basil? What kind of Chinese/Japanese restaurant is out of basil. The server claimed they were changing their menu and therefore were out of a lot of items. That is totally unacceptable. I’m actually sorry we didn’t get up and leave.

I liked this place. We ordered tons of food for a group of 8. 6 – 7 appetizers, an entrée each, an entrée or more for each, a bottle of wine, and about 4 desserts, and 5 fountain drinks. I don’t know how much the bill was but I’m assuming it was over $ 400 easily. Good atmosphere, slightly overwhelmed servers. On even spilled a glass of wine and the glass broke. He took his time getting napkins and left a giant piece of glass on the table. Oh and the bathroom hadn’t been tended to in a long time. Toilet paper all over the floor on both stalls.

This review is for the bar Happy Hour menu which is an AMAZING deal for drinks and dumplings. They are all made in a pretty authentic dim sum style and drinks were strong and well made. 5−7pm this is definitely the best deal in town. Pork bun dumplings are delicious little pork pillows, must have! Bartender(long black hair) was so pleasant and despite being busy was super attentive!

Food is fair to middling. As for the drinks, HORRIBLE!!! If you like watered down drinks, this place is for you. The manager is rude n unfriendly. Has a real attitude. Rushes you as soon as you finish your food on there busy times. It’s becoming the talk of the town now(as place to avoid). Would prefer to give no stars, but can’t. Therefore, the one star they get is for the ambiance. Perhaps with a new manager, they will keep there doors open to years end.

Just enjoyed the most Amazing lunch I’ve had in a long time!!! Not only was the food EXCELLENT – the service was SUPERB!!! Starting with our waiter Xavier who seated us at the front by the open window, my fiancé and I were beyond pleased with how he met us, served us & how helpful he was in aiding us with our choices. We had the Chilean Sea Bass skewers, steamed shrimp dumplings & the spicy Angel Hair roll to start — -All Delicious! But it didn’t stop there, the duck fried pineapple rice served in a halved pineapple and Miso Black Cod were sooooo good, we took some to go! But the Mango Chicken was BYFAR the Winner — -presentation alone made it enticing(it was served in a scooped out halved Mango in a rich orange colored sauce perfectly mixed with peppers & the sliced mango) and once you tasted it, it was all«Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm’s» from there. We also had the pleasure of meeting the GM Kevin & he was incredibly cool. Brought out one of our dishes, Checked on us & was a total gent when I asked to speak with him afterward to possibly plan an occasion dinner in the near future. This restaurant couldn’t have made a better first impression. I highly recommend you try them out not only for their Amazing menu(there’s sooooo much more to choose from) but again, for the incredibly Stellar service!

Such a great atmosphere. At night they play music and the vibe is great. They certainly do not skimp on the drinks. Those drinks were strong and delicious. Definitely getting your money’s worth. The food I think was great. My favorite part was that the servers spoke perfect English. There were no confusions when ordering like I’ve had at other Asian run sushi restaurants. I had a great time. I’m gonna bring my friends here for a fun night.

The boyfriend and I recently checked out Huntington’s newest addition. I find myself to be a little bit of a sushi snob. My biggest pet peeve is where there is teeny tiny pieces of fish. That’s what I come for! Don’t cheep out. I was pleased with the atmosphere, the atmosphere and the drinks. Although the price is a little high compared to other local sushi, I thought it was in line with what we were expecting to pay for a nice dinner in Huntington. We’ll be back!

Rude A party of 6 girls. We spent $$$ at our table. We were just finishing out dessert and paid the bill. A man from the bar came over to us and said, We are waiting for your table, could you hurry up and leave. He was a rude customer. Trust me, we weren’t lingering at all, we just paid our bill. So we ignored the interruption. only one minute later THEMANAGERHIMSELFASKEDUSTOGIVETHETABLETOTHERUDEANDINTERRUPTINGPARTY!!! How could a manager support an obnoxious group like that and completely disrespect our group of normal and polite group of girls? They don’t deserve to stay open

The service was excellent. The waiter was extremely attentive and sweet, not sure what his name was. A manager named Andrew came to our table, and made sure everything was ok. He was very nice and attentive as well. The drinks were good and not too strong, but not too weak. I only had sushi. It was very fair. I wouldn’t go back for the sushi. My friends were pleased with their actual food orders, however. So maybe I’d try that. It is very overpriced here, more than the average prices for this area. Overall there’s other sushi places in the area that I enjoy much more. But, I’d come back here for drinks.

Toa is a reminder of why you shouldn’t try a place for the first time on opening weekend. Ie; slow service and no signature cocktails. HOWEVER, the food was good enough to bring me back a second, and third time at which point they did have their cocktails so now I can give a fair and accurate review. Atmosphere: Beautiful! The décor is so pretty and there is ample space for large groups, small groups, middle size groups, and a party of two. I love that they have a large sushi bar in the back so that if there is a mob scene you can hang in back. My only qualm: We went with four people last time and I consider myself a «small size human» there is a soffit(this is a fancy term I learned on HGtv) that sticks out on one side of the booth and is SO uncomfortable. Two bigger people would never fit here comfortably. I virtually complained about it to my husband our entire visit. Drinks: A great selection! The Lemongrass Sour is great! The coconut martini… really weird after taste. Beers on tap are pretty decent, they come out at the right temperature. Food: A huge selection! We usually share an appetizer, a sushi, and split an entrée. Appetizers: The pumpkin dumplings taste too strangely like marshmallows for my liking, the sticky pork buns were delicious. The lobster tacos you need a magnifying glass to find on the plate. THESUSHI! YUM. The angel hair roll is insane! Absolutely loved it. The selection of rolls here I would have to say are the best in Huntington Village. Dinner: Schezuan Dry Beef is SODELICIOUS! I don’t even like chinese food from takeout places, this is light, not greasy, perfect mix of ingredients just fantastic. The pineapple fried rice is above par. Dessert: Fried oreos, yes and thank you. I haven’t even tried anything else because there is just nothing wrong with them. Toa is definitely a standout in Huntington Village.

I work in Huntington village 6 days a week and this MIGHT just be my new sushi spot! Kashi never did anything for me — I never liked their sushi. Osaka is delicious but really pricey for lunch! I ordered online for lunch — got 15% off just for ordering online — so it came out to $ 8 and change for 2 rolls & a soup. When I walked in I was shocked at how beautiful the décor was. This place was gorgeous. I can’t wait to come back and have a full dinner here. I was surprised at how fresh the sushi was for the low price. I had tuna avocado and spicy tuna– both were amazing. I pay $ 13 for 2 rolls at Osaka and although their spicy crunchy tuna is amazing — I also don’t mind the extra $ 5 in my pocket! I’ll see you soon TOA!

After leaving the Dr, I wanted a sushi fix for my first time to eat out in a while!!! Originally wanted to go to Kashi but they were closed as many restaurants do mid day. So we walked around the corner and out of the many choices saw a new spot!!! Xavier was our server and was on point with our order and options. There was no desert menu and it seemed construction wasn’t quite finished in the back yet since it’s the second week it’s been open. The décor is very calming with lots of dark wood and bamboo. The front can be fully open weather permitting with outdoor seating and a fully stocked bar in the front. Now to the food!!! I recommend all of these! *****King crab tuna dumplings — Alaskan King crab with avocado tempura crunch wasabi tobiko wrapped in tuna … It’s was art! So fresh and served on a bed of ice. Seared three ways– seared tuna with cilantro sauce, seared salmon with crab n mango, seared white tuna with sweet chili sauce Black pepper filet mignon with baby bock Choy, scallions, mushrooms, diced peppers n onions. The steak was cooked perfectly! Tender and in a light flavorful sauce. American Dream roll — rock shrimp tempura with spicy lobster and Kani wrapped in soybean paper and changed it to brown rice — all I have to say is yum!!! They also have a selfie station which I’m not up to yet but can’t wait to try it!
