Gets the job done I guess. I was walking around down town Huntington an saw TOPBUNZ. I though let’s try a burger. Looking at the menu I chose the steak sandwich(steak Garlic & Mozz). However they had no Mozzarella cheese. I was offered the Philly cheese steak instead b/c that has American cheese. The poster on the wall advertised Dr. Praeger’s Veggi burger, why would I want a grocery store frozen burger reheated? Did I mention I don’t think the heat was on, the toilet didn’t flush, the bathroom light switch was missing a cover & it was in poor condition? I didn’t expect Marble & white glove service. But you set the appearance & the standard for your image. The food was OK, but tasted like it was just reheated. I could have done the same with a trip down the freezer aisle. Disappointing …

I want to rave about this place. The woman who works there is so nice and helpful. The food is only ok. One way to judge a burger place is by the fries. The fries here are mundane. The burgers are good, but not so incredible to overcome the tired feel for teh place. Sorry.

3.5 stars. My boyfriend and I randomly discovered Top Bunz while we were wandering around Huntington looking for a place to eat because at the time there was a lawn sign advertising the bison burger. Personally, I love the fries because they’re nice and crispy, just the way I like it. That being said, the burgers are on the smaller side. It’s cash only, and there is normally just the owner working so service does also have the tendency to be slow. I admit I’ve never really seen the place busy, and the food is on the pricier side for what you get, but the owner has always been super pleasant and welcoming, and I care about that. I’ve been coming here with my boyfriend fairly consistently for a couple of years, and I’ve never seen her look disheveled, and she’s always put together. She’s always been genuine and kind to us, and although I understand that has nothing to do with the food, I care about the human interactions I have. Top Bunz also has a cute tradition where if you finish the Topper(burger with three patties), you get your name written on the ceiling. I know what a good burger tastes like, so I know Top Bunz has its shortcomings. But I’ve always thought of Top Bunz as an accurate representation of small businesses. Yeah, she’s short-staffed, a little pricier than franchises, and cash only because credit card fees are unbelievable. But she works hard, and it shows. I’m not saying I come here as a charity, but I am saying that Huntington Village still has some old, independently-owned small businesses that are now struggling because of the way our society has changed. I believe in shopping small, especially as a local. So if that means my burger is a bit more expensive than what I might pay elsewhere, maybe that’s okay.

Looking for a bite in Huntington, and saw this spot — has a «burger shack» type look outside… shakes and fries and such. Pretty small place, seems like its going for a 50’s theme… was a little cold and the soda machine was leaking, so when you go to serve yourself a fountain drink, you end with soda fingers. Ew. Whatever… had a turkey burger and it was good — not gourmet but decent. Mozz sticks were the expected fried cheese, husband said his burger was good, so end of day… an okay lunch… The server was really nice. Not sure if id make a point to go back, but i surely wouldn’t make a point NOT to. Feel me?

I love burgers but this place had to have made the greatest and worst burgers I’ve ever eaten. Foul.

This place was lousy. I’m surprised they are still around. And with so much potential too at a great location. Small burger no taste, offensively small serving of fries, and I think the worst thing about this place was the rude lady making this food. No passion, pretentious high price and poor service left a bad taste in my mouth!

The greasiest burger ever made. There was no flavor other than the grease. Even the onions were flavorless, and so was the undersized bun. The buffalo wings were an equal disappoint. The place is ridiculously over priced for what they give you. My stomach is still off a day later from this place.

Yeah, the food is about as good as the place looks… If you’re looking for a quick bite for an alright price, this is your place to go. I had the chicken burger, he had the philly cheesesteak and while he hated his, mine was okay. They are definitely a no frills and no thrills kind of place. Only come here if you’re looking for something quick to eat and you’re not looking for anything amazing. With all the other options in the area, I’d definitely keep searching for something else…

Oh, Top Bunz, how you disappoint. Was looking for a good burger in Huntington, instead ended up eating a very over priced ‘beach burger’ — you know the kind, like you get at Jones Beach during the summer, except this one cost even more and was even worse! Tiny tiny burger — smaller than Burger King(not that I eat there), greasy greasy salt shaker and other table items(makes my stomach flip thinking about that greazy ketchup squeeze bottle), lettuce was whak! Cheese was a joke, and to top it off, smiley face special sauce! No warning on the ‘special sauce’. Just blau! Weird pinkish sauce on tha burger. Fries were ok — I asked for them well done, and they were. With so many OK and even Good places to eat in Huntington you would be better served someplace else. Avoid, unless you want to gross your date out with greazy salt & pepper shakers, whak burgurz, and nasty feeling ketchup bottles.

There was secondly nothing special about this place. Me and the girlfriend were walking in the town and didn’t know what to eat. With her being picky, we had little choice but then we saw this burger joint. There was not a big selection. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and she ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. While we waited, there was a group of loud teenagers that came in and started pointing to names on the ceiling. Not quite sure why there were thousands of names on the ceiling but the loud mouthed kids ruined a quiet night. The food came and the girlfriend chicken was smothered in BBQ sauce(again, with her being picky, she didn’t like the BBQ sauce). The menu board does not indicate it had BBQ sauce on it. The bun was 3 times the size if the chicken. My pulled pork sandwich was alright. Nothing special. For $ 20, it was not with it. Unfortunately it was cold outside and I didn’t have time to read the previous reviews otherwise we would have kept looking for another place PS. Bring cash. No credit cards

Food was Okay. It didn’t taste bad but it wasn’t anything special. Cash only was kind of a pain and it was very expensive for the portion size. Went with my girlfriend and everything we wanted to order off the menu they told us they didn’t have. Ordered a chicken sandwich, like said nothing crazy just Okay taste.

This place went down the tube… Burger was okay. Fries were super salty and greasy. I have a sick feeling afterwards as well as a gross greasy food smell that penetrates my clothes after leaving the facility. The price is so not worth the. Quality. The only decent thing was the milkshake(peanut butter & chocolate).

Me and my friend went there last weekend and had the worst experience. I paid 15 dollars for the worst burger!!! It had no toppings and we paid for bacon and only got 1 piece each on it, and only got a small amount of French fries. Extremely diss appointed because last time I went it was great. Waste of money!

I’m not sure what everyone is talking about. I went in with my young children, and had a lovely experience. The service was great, and our order was completed quickly. The woman who was both cooking and serving our food was really kind. We had the fried twinkie and fried oreos. They were delicious and presented really nicely! I will be going back for these treats.

Food is OK. Sometimes the service is really bad. But nice for a fast bite before you go across the street to the Paramount.

I didn’t think it was possible but this place has gotten worse. I came here with my mother, as she was saying she wanted to try it… It was extremely over priced, and gross. I somehow figured I’d give it another honest chance… and ordered the bison burger. It was overcooked, the cheese was basically cheese whizz, and there was absolutely no presentation. It looks like a sloppy joe from a school cafeteria and it was $ 13 with no side!!! I tasted it, and was thoroughly disgusted, and literally could not eat it. I had asked for cheddar cheese, and this cheese whizz crap was making me nauseous. I also asked for the burger medium rare, and it came out well done. I felt bad, but I had to complain, and I asked for the money back since it was nothing I asked for. The MANAGER literally told me there is nothing she could do about it. I specifically told her I wanted it pink and cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato and none of this was right, plus the burger tasted frozen and nasty. Somehow my mom dealt with her turkey burger, so I literally only asked for the $ 13 back for just mine(so I could go next door and order a wrap at European Republic) and she straight out said NO, there’s «nothing» she can do. Yea? F U. A restaurant is meant to be enjoyable, the whole purpose is to feel happy while spending hard earned money on over priced crap! I was appalled at how they handle their business. The soda fountain and ketchup was sticky, and I saw dust and on the salt and pepper. This woman,(the manager) was the only person working. She was running around and I literally saw her take the buns out of the freezer in the back. This is not what you pay for in Huntington Village, or for $ 13 for a burger! If it is overcooked, you offer a new one or give their damn money back! Offering me lettuce and tomato to put on top of the slop was NOT cutting it. I am sick of thinking about this place. I want it out of business. They don’t belong here, they are basically a total waste of your money, time, and effort to go here. If you want fries, go next door to Euro Republic to get the best fries in town. If you want a burger, get it at the damn diner. It’ll be cheaper, and so much better. Screw you Top Bunz!

Wow this place is severely underserved. But to be fair my burger was cooked just the way I like it. Nice and juicy with a lot of flavor. I asked for pickles, and I got one single lonely pickle. I thought the burger was rather small for its price, but maybe that is just me. The most annoying part of my visit was the cheese fries i got. I actually like the type of fries this place used. Its like a combination of macdonalds fries and steak fries. These should never have been called cheese fries. The lady behind the counter put a small amount of fries in a little bowl, and LITERALLLY tossed 1 slice of american cheese over it, and stuck it on the grill for a few minutes. MOSTGHETTO cheese fries I have ever saw. Probably will not come back here.

To be fair, all we had were 2 «malt» vanilla milk shakes. 1) There was no malt. 0 malt. No «maltiness» for Stan. 2) The milkshake had ice cream that was freezer burned and had chunks of crushed ice in it(made the drink unpleasantly crunchy). 3) The milk tasted and faintly smelt like it was spoiled. If I hadn’t driven off by the time I actually sipped my milkshake I would have walked back in and asked for a refund. On top of all of this. they don’t take credit. Not cool Top Bunz… not cool. Definitely not a «Top Gun» in the burger biz.(IMO of course).
