Loved the place ! Great atmosphere, service, food and drink. The craft beer mussels were great.

I liked this place a lot; they have eating options for everyone(vegan to carnivore.) I had the chickpea and edamame vegan burger and it was incredible. The vegan wings were also killer. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The only negative I discovered that was in the restaurant’s control was that my fries were over-salted and so were everyone else’s at my table. They were inedible as they came. The other downside was that the restaurant was really noisy, but the selection and taste of the food and drinks, plus the service made up for that.

Loud & crowded but our party of 4 was seated before our first drinks were finished. Tons of craft beers on tap & by the bottle. They could use a few more(or different) selections for the wines offered. As for the food, although it’s a «burger joint» there are some decent alternatives. We shared the BBQ wings(excellent), the mac & cheese(ok but question the use of the tiny pasta), the pretzel(bigger is not better! A little dry and definitely need a beer cheese dip rather than those offered) and the mussels(best of the bunch! Tasty broth & the addition of the duck sausage gave it a wonderful richness). Main dishes-my husband loved the burger with fried egg!!! I sampled the fish tacos, which were very good but needed a home made pico de gallo or salsa verde. Our friends had the burger(which he loved!!) & Yard bird chicken waffle sandwich(a little too much waffle-kinda dry). Finished with the donuts dessert Underwhelming-the accompanying sauces were a little tasteless. Excellent service by Alexis made the night very pleasurable. Food comes out fast but the pacing is not hurried. Not a place for a romantic dinner, but lively & fun.

My friend Ryan was raving about this spot. And now that I’ve has some deliciousness yeah he was right. Good customer service on a busy Friday night. Order the pretzel if you like pretzels, love pretzels, have ever had thoughts pretzels in future or inpast. You won’t regret this mammoth of freshly baked perfection. Alexis was our attentive server with charm and personality. Will absolutely come back to get me some pretzel. @MarkMeyerHere

I was super excited to try Vauxhall. We tried a week ago but with an hour wait and no room at the bar, we headed to Sapsuckers instead. We were determined to try again this week and headed over there a little after 6. With only a 20 minute wait and plenty of room at the bar we decided to wait and give it a try. What an awesome beer selection on tap, I was in beer heaven. It should be noted, that if you are a fan of more conventional beers, you will be out of luck here. No Bud Light, Heineken or Corona, the best you will do is PBR. Personally I don’t get this new obsession with a sub par beer but that’s another story. They also have prosecco on tap at a reasonable price. This was a huge plus for Maryann M.(my wife) since it’s one of her go to drinks. 10 minutes go by and we get seated and start to look at the menu. Why I’m looking at the menu is beyond me, I already know what I want from photos on Unilocal. Our waitress, Alexis, came over and suggested some apps. I already knew I wanted to try the pretzel, but she also suggested the poutine with short ribs. WOW, I am happy she did because this was without a doubt the highlight of our meal. Thanks for the recommendation! The pretzel was good too, a solid hot pretzel with two different dipping sauces. For dinner my wife decided on The Villager(a bacon cheddar burger) and I ordered the Yardbird chicken and waffle sandwich. The burger was solid. Thick, juicy and super tasty. The chicken and waffle sandwich on the other hand was a big let down. It’s partially my fault because I was expecting regular waffles as a bun. I should have read the menu, it clearly listed the waffles as bacon cornmeal waffles. Unfortunately the waffle wasn’t the only issue with the chicken. I expect fried chicken to be crisp and have a slight crunch to it. No such luck with this bird, it was actually a bit soggy. To finish off the night, we decided to try the donuts. Again because they looked so damn good in the photos on Unilocal. Were they good, yes, but again, I’m not sure they were good enough to order again. I don’t typically call out servers unless the service was either really good or really bad. I’m happy to say the service here was great and Alexis(our waitress) was super friendly, knowledgeable and quick. The guys behind the bar were awesome as well, but since the bar was busy, I didn’t get their names. Overall, Vauxhall is worth a try, I just wouldn’t wait an hour for a table when there are so many other options near by.

Amazing food. I tried about 6 different things in the menu so far and all of it was top notch. Burgers are 7 out of 10 drinks are 10 – 10 and desert is 11 out of 10. 2 reasons why they are not getting 5 stars they dont take reservations and the place is very small and cramped. I hope they move to a larger locations ASAP.

Disappointing. We made the trek out because Unilocal had highlighted this place in one of their emails. When you look at the menu, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up because it ALL sounds so delicious, but after my experience I was found wanting. The Good: Service was great. Our server was attentive, informed and was available yet not overly intrusive to our meal. I love the décor and intimacy of the place. It’s European designs are reminiscent of an Alpine Lodge. Everything from the food to the cocktails were absolutely delicious! Intuitive twists and variations of classic handheld fare make this an attractive pub. I already know what you’re thinking. What possibly could have been wrong to knock it down to 3 stars? Execution in the kitchen. The Sirachi Lime sauce on the chix wing appetizer should be patented and sold in bulk it is so good, however, the wings themselves were severely over cooked and came to the table cold. We wanted some fresh and hot wings with that sauce so bad we ordered another round, but they came out over cooked and cold again. They came out fast so I’m thinking they are pre cooking the wings instead of cooking them to order. They might be drying out while they are being held for service. The Wild Life burger. Really good. But, for me, there is one Cardinal Rule when cooking meat to order. Don’t over cook it. As a medium rare lover, I’ve come to accept that most of my steaks or burgers will come out medium. Nobody’s perfect, however, a zero pink, well done burger just kills it. I can only imagine how much better my burger would have been with a juicy patty instead of a dry one. Chicken and Waffles. Again Really Good. But it came to the table soggy. There are several things that can help a waffle stand up to the rigors of sandwichdom, but it was very hard to eat and off putting. Duck Sausage. My 7 year old even loved this(you wanna talk about a picky eater) but was having serious issues eating it. This goes under menu planning I suppose, but The pretzel bun only came about a third up the side of the link so it’s impossible to control the sausage from dropping out of the bun. My kid went as far as requesting a bigger bun, but this entrée(according to our server) is apparently the one dish on the entire menu that’s meant to be eaten with a fork and knife. It’s a sausage sandwich, let me eat it like one… I’m hoping this was a fluke, because I’m so intrigued with the flavors and options this place is putting out I will definitely be going back. Here’s hoping for a reprieve.

Vauxhall has set the bar for Huntington ! I absolutely love Huntington and have been here a multitude of times… Restaurants, bars, shops etc. It’s a very trendy little village with mass foot traffic and awesome places to check out in its circulation. Come to this Brooklynesque place, I’ve been eyeing it for some time especially since a burger with an egg on it is my thing… I came here on a Friday night, sat immediately. I was impressed with that but the place seemed packed anyway so I would suggest of your party is 3 or more utilize your time wisely on when to pop in this place. Complimentary popcorn is a plus, the place smells like freshly popped corn and other kinds of deliciousness… You literally cannot help but stare at what every single person has ordered when their food comes out. Ordered the classic poutine with short rib and the yard bird chicken sandwich on corneal and bacon waffles. The poutine was so good! Cheese curds, gravy, and short rib… Ahhhh my god it was a good way to kick off my first visit here. The chicken and waffle sandwich was equally as delicious… One thing I would recommend would maybe be to ask for a side of honey with it. The waffles are extremely rich tasting and the chicken was cooked to perfection however, I think honey or some honey kind of tobasco sauce would have solidified the sandwich a bit more for me… But hey, the ambiance in this place is awesome. I had Prosecco on tap which was a first for me and I liked it! I would definitely come back here and I highly recommend this place. I plan on ordering that massive house made pretzel I saw someone order, looked amazing! Chill vibe, good for smaller groups of friends or dates, high top tables and one larger party table in front, some bar seating is available. Prosecco x4, poutine w short rib, yardbirdywaffledelish= $ 55

So let me start by saying how incredible the service was. I sat at the bar and Chris was extremely pleasant. He gave me recommendations for cocktails and food. And was very attentive. This place is really small, can’t imagine what it will be like on a busy night. I went here the night after the snow storm so there were not a lot of people. The Décor is simple definitely not a dress up type of place. As far as the food goes, I might be a bit generous with my stars. I had the French 75 cocktail which was very good. Then I decided to try the lavender cocktail. Way too much lavender. Which I guess was good because it lasted me until I left. Small sips and then water until the end. I tried the vegan wings which my friends pointed out drumsticks lol. Regardless they were really tasty for a meatless dish, definitely won’t disappoint. I had the chicken and waffles as my main dish. It was ok. Don’t get why others were praising it so much. The chicken was a bit burnt and so was the waffles. The chicken was well seasoned but that might just be a taste preference. The Sauce that came with it made it a lot better. The fries were good as well just a little over done. For dessert I had the brownie and ice cream. It was delicious. Except the brownie wasn’t warm and a bit hard. Chris the bartender was very nice and offered to warm it up for me after that it was to die for. So ask to get the brownie in the sundae warm. You won’t regret it. Other than that this was a nice little place with great service. I hope all the servers are as attentive as Chris.

Williamsburg wannabe that does some cool things… Very good burger and good beer and cocktail choices… Some interesting plates going by that look well prepared and enticing from the limited but gasto-pubby menu… The place is small, so thirty people is a crowd. The bar seats maybe eight to ten and gets claustrophobic with the onslaught of people waiting for tables and hovering right behind you… The pretty good music unfortunately gets drowned out real quick as the joint fills up, and it does fill up… The free hot salty popcorn is nothing new but a great idea that begs for second and third rds of local and established craft beers… The cold brew coffee on tap is stellar and the perfect sober-upper after a couple coffee old fashioneds or high ABV beers, which were very good… Prosecco on tap is neat too, and a sure fire chick pleaser… The Williamsburg thing ends real quick with the crowd though, as urban artistic and somewhat rebellious characters of Brooklyn(even though it’s getting corny there too) are replaced here with families and kids, middle aged white finance guys, and some contrived beards and forced suspenders, but this is the Island and they usually are a few yrs behind the trends, but it’s ok… the vibe is warm, the food very good and the beer and booze, creative enough… And finally, there is a good late night food option other than the spring break adolescent chaos that ensues at Little Vincent’s… Hopefully the soul of the place develops later into the dark of night when the consumer crowds scamper back to their«Ihomes»…and character has more potential to bloom…

An average rating of 5 stars for any place seems like too much hype, but Unilocal’s got it right. Was looking forward to trying this place since I found out about it two weeks ago and it lived up to the hype. My wife is vegan, but I eat every animal under the sun. Long Island is terrible with options accommodating both of us, minus a couple of places like Three Brothers, Purple Elephant, and Tula Kitchen. This place is like 80% non-vegan, but has a handful of vegan options such as vegan poutine, vegan wings, and a couple of burgers. Starting off with the beer selection. Great choices overall, heavily favoring local breweries like Great South Bay, Spider Bite, and Crooked Ladder. Some interesting(and delicious) cocktail choices as well. Food was excellent. We started off with three appetizers: regular poutine with short ribs, vegan poutine, and mac and cheees. The regular poutine was AWESOME. Definitely recommend it with the short ribs. The vegan poutine wasn’t really much like a poutine, but it was good since they didn’t load it with a bunch of fake cheese and meat — it was just a really good vegan interpretation of a poutine. Mac and cheese was great too, but the«worst» out of the three. Got a kitchen sink burger for dinner and glad I did. Loaded with mac and cheese, short rib, bbq chips, cheese, and bacon it was cooked great and was delicious. You would think with all of that it would be too much, but it wasn’t. Fries came with vauxhall sauce which was similar to a chipotle mayo, but more BBQ flavor — very good. Service was great too. Waiter was friendly and got everything pretty quickly. Can’t wait to go back!

Huntington just got a whole lot more delicious… & drunk! After hearing that a gastropub that offered up divine-sounding vegan options plus craft cocktails had opened up close to my brother’s house, I knew I had to make a stop here on my next visit to Long Island… which was three weeks after it opened, so lucky me! My group of 6 got a table immediately on a Sunday night. I’m not a fan of high top tables, but I didn’t care because I had vegan burgers on the brain. First of all, they have Prosecco on tap. What? Oh yes yes yes. But after a sip of my brother’s Old Fashioned, I knew I had to switch it up because this may be the best Old Fashioned I have ever had. Perhaps it’s the cold brew? But damn… Thank you for all these vegan options, Vauxhall. For this alone, you rule. That these options are not an afterthought, I applaud you even more. To start, the vegan wings. In comparison to the burger which is house made, these are a bit of a disappointment(the preparation is done in house, but the wings are likely supplied by May Wah in Chinatown. Several restaurants in the NY area use them and I’ve never been a big fan of these, though they are very similar in texture to chicken, which will appeal to you if you miss chicken). They could use some kind of dipping sauce, to contrast the sweet BBQ sauce. No matter, for the chickpea edamame burger is next level kind of stuff. Earlier that day I had what I thought was my favorite vegan burger of all time at Blossom in the city. But now all that’s changed, thanks to Vauxhall. To reiterate: Next. Level. I might have been speechless while I ate it because it demanded my full attention. The creamy hummus is the perfect topping for the burger. Seriously, you need this burger in your life. I also had a bite of the other vegan burger and although I’m typically not a fan of anything involving sweet potatoes, it is almost as delicious as the chickpea burger. The fries that come with are equally delicious, no surprise there. Another great thing about Vauxhall: late night hours! Rejoice, for it’s hard to be fiending for food after 10pm on Long Island when you’re vegan. My new happy place on LI!

Ask for AARON at the bar! Excellent Service with a smile… Stopped in last night to see what all of the hype was about. The place was PACKED — standing room only. We waitied at the bar and were treated very well by Aaron — perfect mixed drinks and fast service. About 20 minutes or so later and we were seated at one of the high top tables. The organic wings with the spicy lime sauce were out of this world! I never do chicken wings when going out for dinner but we figured what the heck — Great decision. The mac and cheese was a nice surprise. Not gloppy and sticky, a nice creamy consistency, perfectly cooked pasta and just the right amount of crispy breadcrumb topping! As for the burgers, very very prefesionally done. We tried the mushroom, onion and gruyère. We ordered medium rare and were given medium to medium well, but of course we downed it without hesitation. Nice and juicy, but on a busy night like this we cant complain about not nailing the temperature. We also tried the chicken and waffle sandwich. Neither of us had ever had anything quite like this before and we were pleasantly surprised. A nice acidic and sweet tomato jam on the crispy sweet waffle«bun». The fried chicken cutlet was absolutely juicy and cooked 10⁄10! Certainly something I can dig into again. French fries — 9⁄10!!! Definitely check this place out.

Most likely to be featured on Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate: Burger Addition I have to say, I’m a skeptic. When I first saw all the five star reviews rolling in for Vauxhall immediately after it opened, my first thought was: Fake. So, I had to try it for myself. Location: Great location, right next to a lot so your chances of finding parking are more ample, plus it is off the beaten path. It’s situated in what was a ballet store which after a fire was turned into failed Two Blondes and a Stove, and then failed Char Grille. Small and quaint, décor is inviting and non-douchey like some local joints. Food: Amazing. Mainly burgers. Tried the chicken wing appetizer which had a better sauce and crunch then most wing places I’ve frequented. Now to the best part, these burgers are so damn good! It’s almost like the actual burger jesus appeared in the kitchen and left all the secrets to putting together the most tasty flavors. Here’s an example: The Evil Sal. This burger is amazing! The ghost pepper jam(I may be wrong about it being ghost pepper, but I’m 95% sure it is) is out of this world! I was scared to get it thinking my lips would be swollen, my eyes would be watery, and I’d all around be on fire but it wasn’t at all. It pairs deliciously with the onion strings, pepper jack cheese, and fresh pretzel bun. I don’t even like onion rings but if it’s not broken don’t fix it! The whole burger is amazing. And always cooked perfectly. The Blue Velvet burger is equally as appealing and delicious. Dessert: If you have room left the donuts are A+ Drinks: Great on tap beer menu. Prices are fantastic. I love that they also have Prosecco on tap so there’s an option for the ladies(or male prosecco lovers). The Cellar Door and French 75 are a 10⁄10 on flavor. Overall an awesome place for drinks, burgers, dessert, families, friends, couples etc. BESTBURGER I HAVEEVEREATEN!

Vauxhall is a great new addition to Huntington Village. It is located on Clinton Avenue right before the traffic circle, so there are a ton of parking spaces nearby. This spot is known to be a revolving door, but I can definitely see Vauxhall being the one to stick around. Absolutely loved the ambience brought about by the brickwork, lighting, and trendy décor. The space was a bit tight, but hey — good for Vauxhall that the place was so busy on a Tuesday night! We watched groups enter the establishment several times throughout the night, and like magic, there always seemed to be a spot for them to sit. Upon being seated, we received a complimentary bowl of freshly-made popcorn! It was a nice surprise to receive something other than bread, and seemed appropriate for the trendy bar setting. There was a great selection of craft beers, both on tap and by the can, including a couple of options from local Long Island breweries. My boyfriend and I love to try new beers, so we were in heaven. It was almost too hard to decide what to try! All of the food that we ordered was DELICIOUS. We started off by sharing an appetizer — the mac and cheese. The cheese was flavorful and creamy, and the dish was topped with tasty, crunchy breadcrumbs. Definitely off to a good start. I ordered the Villager Burger, which came topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, and tomato jam. The sweetness of the jam paired excellently with the salty bacon — it was a very pleasant pairing. I usually use a lot of ketchup, but I didn’t use even a drop because the toppings tasted so good on their own. I like my burgers pink, and it was cooked to perfection at medium rare. Not only was it juicy, but EXTREMELY tasty. It was the best burger that I’ve had in a while. Even the brioche bun was delicious. I also got a side of fries, which came with Vauxhall’s secret dipping sauce. I hope that one day Vauxhall starts to bottle it for sale, because I would slather everything I eat with this sauce. I even started dipping my burger into the sauce that I had leftover after finishing my fries. My boyfriend got the Breakfast Binge burger, and was also very pleased with the flavor and how it was cooked. He was appreciative that the chef accommodated his request for a scrambled egg instead of sunny side up. He got a side of house-made BBQ chips, which were great — not too greasy, and perfectly crunchy. We are definitely looking forward to going back!

Beautiful restaurant with a simple menu that still made it hard to decide just what to get… there were so many great options! I started off with the mussels which were close my eyes and savor the moment delicious. I ended up choosing the Evil Sal burger for my entrée mainly because I wanted something spicy and the fried onions and pretzel bun were calling my name. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had and that is a sincere compliment from a self pronounced burger connoisseur. It was thick, perfectly cooked, seasoned and did the thing I love where it falls apart a little. No ketchup needed. The sazerac cocktail was excellently executed and the dessert menu had me at donuts(raspberry sauce FTW). Will definitely be back! Amazing job Sal, Eric and Dan!

I’m not too familiar with the Huntington area but was pretty impressed walking into Vauxhall. A friend convinced me to try it with her after hearing that they were finally opened. Everything is brand new(obviously) and classier than your average dive bar or pub. The atmosphere is very suiting — dim lighting, trendy décor/furniture, friendly staff. I’ll comment on the food first because that’s what I was most impressed with. They have a few starters to choose from but their food menu is centered around burgers: «burgers, «burger alternatives»(vegan burgers) and«not burgers.» I went with the«breakfast binge» — burger with bacon and a sunny side up egg.(Although it actually came with an egg over medium…) It was still good, along with the fries and this special top secret vauxhall sauce. Everything was presented nicely, burger itself was delicious and fries and sauce were okay. My friend got the black bean burger which looked a amazing as well. They have a bunch of beers on tap and specialty cocktails although I wasn’t particularly blown away by what they had to choose from. I forget the exact name of what I tried, old fashion-something(server’s recommendation). It was supposed to be a coffee/bourbon mix but there was no trace of a coffee flavor. It wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t get it again. Burger with an egg, black bean burger, a beer, and a cocktail came to $ 54. Our server was great and very attentive — but I say this cautiously because that is to be expected when a restaurant opens with new, freshly trained staff. He was very kind and friendly, as was the owner and others working. I hope they keep it up because there’s a lot of movement in the area and I think Vauxhall has potential for success. Also, the bathroom was spotless which means the kitchen’s clean as well. I can’t say I’d go out of my way to eat here but I’d stop in locally for sure.
