Pretty good service and nice beer selection, but the food was just ok. Also, though there are many, the TVs are low quality. I recommend drinking, but not eating there.

I asked if I could bring my dog to the outside patio and the waitress told us absolutely. I then asked for water for him and she said I’ll put it in a to go cup and then was told we have dog bowls. She gave him the water and was petting him the whole time she talked to us. I asked for extra sauce and was told I might be charged but she’d see what she can do, they didn’t charge us. The food was excellent the service was exceptional(thank you Selena). Wish we had one in our home town of Memphis

Was served a tap beer that had sludge in it that we suspected was mold. We attempted to alert the manager on duty, however the little tart of a waitress came back trying to handle it herself — either afraid to tell the manager or the manager completely dissed us & didn’t care about a customer’s complaint. Complaints to the state health department & their corporate office will be filed.

Went in for dinner tonight and had such a bad experience. After 15 minutes in the restaurant I had to find my waiter. I had a glass of water and was not refilled, I was there for the total of an hour. I ordered the Thai Lettuce wraps and it was awful, the picture shows that is was just a puddle of oil. I often order this out and also make it at home, also there was barely any meat. I tried to explain to my server and and was put in connection to the manager, she insisted the sauce was as it should be… After my explaining the difference, I returned my meal and left hungry. I won’t return.

Great drink specials and friendly staff! I was in town for business and needed a place to grab a drink and dinner. Very friendly bartenders and staff. Good place to meet with friends!

My party and I went into the Huntsville location at 8:30pm yesterday(2⁄27) and were told that the kitchen was closed for the night very rudely by a hostess named AJ. When I told her that can’t be right that the kitchen doesn’t normally close till around closing she was impolite and told me they were too busy to handle any more parties. The location was maybe ¾ full(with half the diners with food) and the patio was empty. When I asked for a manager AJ, one of the four hostess’s standing around the hostess stand smirking at me, went to the back for maybe 10 seconds then told me both managers were on the line and would not be able to speak with me. Then she turned to the other hostesses and continued her conversation gossiping about an drunk guest maybe 10 feet away. I’m not even sure if she even spoke to a manager. If they were so busy why wasn’t one of the four hostess standing around instead of helping out by bussing tables, traying orders, or heck doing anything other than shooing away customers? The situation was handled very poorly. AJ had a huge attitude popping her neck around like a pecking chicken when speaking with me. She never apologized for the inconvenience or even offered us a table just to sit and drink at. I can easily say that this location lost hundred of thousands of dollars in revenue that night if the kitchen was actually closed at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. My party was so appalled by the poor service and will probably never come back, which is sad because I normally really like Bar Louie.

First few times I came her it was so, so. But I’ve been back and tried a few different things, mostly at lunch or between lunch and dinner. If Izzy is at the bar, park yourself there. Great bar tender. The salads are good and the beer as long as they haven’t run out is good. I like the atmosphere and look forward to hitting the patio when it warms up.

Recurring theme: lousy service. Bar Louie’s Ann Arbor location was a go to for me in college. It’s been close to 8 years since I’ve been to one of these. I came here to eat dinner at the bar since I was alone. The hostesses could care less about seating me. I know it was a lot of work to say«Yeah» and look disinterested when I asked if I could get food at the bar. Bar was busy, so I understand why it took awhile to even get a bartender to notice me. Food came out slow and was ok. My tuna sandwich was good, but my tots were super salty and my Monaco salad was nothing to write home about. I remember food at these being a lot better. I should’ve checked Unilocal ahead of time instead of trusting my experience with other locations. I love Bar Louie… but not so much for this location.

A fun, hip and lively place for drinks and appetizers! Food: 4 of 5 Atmosphere: 5 of 5 Service: 3 of 5 I would recommend this place if: you were looking to grab drinks and socialize with friends Happy hour Monday — Friday from 4pm to 7pm is the best time to come to Bar Louie! Their appetizers are large and tasty. My husband and I have tried the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, Meatballs Al Forno, Pig & Pepper Sliders, Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders, Traditional Wings and Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. We’ve also had the Fish n’ Chips and Voodoo Chicken on the regular menu. The service is always good, though it can sometimes be a little slow. This is understandable since they are always busy during happy hour. With that said, keep in mind that if you go in the middle of happy hour it may take some time to get your food and drinks. I highly recommend Bar Louie for a fun place to catch drinks and apps or a meal with friends! Even outside of happy hour it’s a great place to hang out and enjoy some good good and drinks. Review of menu items, in order of awesomeness: BACONCHEESEBURGERSLIDERS — Definitely recommend, the burgers are large for a slider and are nice and juicy and full of flavor. The buns are even top notch for these mini burgers. A great choice at happy hour. LOADEDFRIES — Another definitely recommended item. Though pretty much anything with their queso is going to be a recommendation from me! BAVARIANPRETZELSTICKS — We love these things, especially the queso sauce that comes with them! The cinnamon butter and honey mustard sauces are good too. BUFFALOCHICKENFLATBREAD — It’s great, lots of good spicy flavor without being overbearing and it’s nice and crispy. TRADITIONALWINGS — A solid choice, they’re prepared well and they’re always delicious. I recommend the BBQ flavor. They’re always nice and sticky with sauce, but not overloaded. VOODOOCHICKEN — This is a wonderful meal with chicken and andouille sausage along side rice, peppers and onions. The flavors of the sauce, meat and veggies bled well together and it has a good amount of spice. FISHANDCHIPS — It’s pretty good for fish and chips in the area. The beer batter is tasty without being too greasy and the fries are great. MEATBALLSALFORNO — The meatballs are another good choice. They are juicy and tender and pair well with the red sauce that they use. PIG&PEPPERSLIDERS — Warning these usually aren’t included in the half off app special. They’re also ok, but we prefer the bacon cheeseburger sliders.

The best happy hour for half price apps! However don’t be fooled by the cheap drink prices, the taxes aren’t included so the drinks are actually taxed twice. Once for the liquor tax(12%) and again for the 9% sales tax. The apps are great, I love the hummus plate. The drinks are good too, but don’t be fooled that it is cheaper there than anywhere in Bridgestreet, because it’s actually the same price. We will be back again especially with work or friends. This place gets crowded during the week days around 430 – 5.

Bruschetta app was very good, clever useing the oversized martini cups to eat out of, but there pastic, and looks dirty and worn. The pear salad was very good. And the Fried Louie burger just made the cut. I Dident like that the lettuce is shredded. they should change that. the pickles are wrong and taste like water. A pickle is suppose to taste like a pickle. the fries where bad. And looked bad and taste bad. That also needs fixing. The Bloody Mary was tolerable. Not better than the original. It looks like sewer water its mixed with Guinness and some other I can’t remember yet. The music was For a generation that thinks everything is made out of chocolate. And should be pushed back a few decades for security reasons and make it more family friendly. Keep the hip hop in the club not the Resturant.

Happy Hour drinks review only. I couldn’t imagine coming here outside of happy hour(and some people I spoke with said the same thing), but during HH this place is pretty great. Their beer selection is good and half priced during HH. Food options during HH are vast and the wings looked quite good, but there are plenty of other options too. Martinis are also on special during HH. Staff was friendly, the place is clean and welcoming. For my first visit to a Bar Louie, I was happy, but still wouldn’t come outside of happy hour.

Second time around redeemed the first three. Wait… what? I guess that would make my last visit my fourth time… but who’s counting? Bar Louie holds so much promise. I can remember the first time I saw it with the see-through fireplaces for the outdoor seating… then I realized it was only feet away from a massive parking deck. It wasn’t always this way… but the view was always of parked cars. But outside of downtown Huntsvegas and a few surly places I’m too timid to go, this is about as good as it gets for late night anything in techno-Mayberry. And that wasn’t very good at all… until about a week ago. The first few times I tried the place they ruined a pair of white Russians and replaced it with a signature drink mildly reminiscent of cough syrup. I thought to myself«well… hell… a lot of drinks taste like couch syrup.» Then the little tempura shrimp were ok. The BBQ burger a bit better but nothing to rave about. So this last time around I basically caught the tail end of happy hour and found a bartender that at least could do the basics. Old Tom collins plus this muddled thing they had as a special cocktail was fine. Then I did the white Russian thing again and they almost passed this time. Grapefruit, orange bitters and woodford(what?)… And suddenly this place had my attention. The waitress admitted they had to look up the recipe for a Vesper but they got points for even trying. My verdict? If you’ve already eaten and just wanna hang out with friends, lightly harass the waitstaff, make up drinks and tip heavy… It’s not so bad. 1 time outta 4 proves that, right?

Arrived at 6:50. Ordered apps and drinks which arrived in a reasonable time. Ordered entrees. Ate apps and downed drinks. Waited. Waited some more. At 8:00 we hailed our server and asked for her to check on our food. She left. Waited. At 8:40, we hailed her again. She’s asked«So… what are you waiting on?» Amazed, we responded, «Our food?». She left again. Waited. She came back 20 minutes after saying it should be any minute. We were obviously upset and asked for or checks and to speak with a manager. Waited another 20 minutes. Back she comes with«free apps» cards on our next visit and our bill for the food and drinks we HAD been served. We were shocked. Asked for the manager(again). Waited another 15 minutes. Got up to leave. Suddenly manager appeared as we walked out the door. By that time we’d been there almost three hours, mostly waiting on our food or someone to apologize and do what good businesses do and make things right. Not happening here. There’s lots of great food in Huntsville where you won’t be treated poorly. What a mess. Don’t waste your time.

I really enjoyed my time at Bar Louie. I was here for work travel and we all went to different bars around the area. Bar Louie had some amazing food by the way. Their tater-tots were freaking unbelievable. The burgers they had were all juicy, plump with fat, and simply delicious. I can’t say I’ve enjoyed a burger that much as when I’ve been here. The service is great, the ambiance is great at night, and the drinks they have on tap are endless. It’s not as large as Yardhouse back where I’m from, but this provides just enough variety to keep the party going.

I’ve been here a couple of times and I generally like the food but it’s pretty lame to be told over the phone that you’ll get the happy hour discount with your takeout food, get to the restaurant to pick it up, and find out that whoops, the person on the phone lied, no discount for takeouts. Guess they want you to stay and buy drinks if you’re going to get your food at a reduced price. Waitress was so rude about it and gave me such an ugly look when I canceled my order that I don’t imagine I’ll ever be going back.

My friend and I went there for happy hour. The martinis were amazing! I got the clover one and the smores one. The smores was great! Really sweet but I have a sweet tooth so I loved it. The bartenders were all really nice. We got the nachos that were recommended by the manager. They were gross. They tasted burnt. Idk if the beans were burnt or the queso or what but every bite had that burnt taste. Not good. And they are the kind of nachos where some are so covered with stuff you can’t find the chip and others have nothing and by the time you get to the bottom they are soggy. Nachos aren’t hard to make correctly. They were very disappointing.

Great place for all size parties. A little loud after«happy hour» but a great place to hang. The terrace is great. Location to the parking deck is convenient. All waitresses are dressed in HOOTERS style outfits(black tanks with black bootie shorts). Some of them needed to cover up but whatever. PRO: Excellent happy hour deals. CON: The drink menu dominates the first three pages off the menu… Alcoholic beverages were OK. Nothing to rave about. Drink descriptions sound delicious but the delivery is flawed. We had to send a few drinks back. Management was great about it. They took the drinks off the tab and offered new drinks. Food was OK. Nothing to call home about. There are NOCHICKENFINGERS on the menu. WHATTHEHELL? Every restaurant has chicken fingers. Fail! Despite not having chicken fingers to suit my fellow patrons taste buds, the menu is quite diverse. Meals range from Thai style offerings and the American favorites(hamburgers). At the least, this is a great happy hour spot. Not a repeat for dinner in my mind.
