As mentioned in a previous post, they didn’t have the ingredients to complete our food order — we ordered a croissant sandwich which was basically a toasted croissant with burnt bacon. The coffee wasn’t very good either. Staff was very friendly.

Coffee was mediocre at best. And they didn’t have what they needed to complete my food order. The atmosphere is nice but too busy for one person working. Lastly my sole motive for coming was to study and use the wifi after grabbing food and a drink… Which I finished and left, due to not being able to successfully connect to the wifi, even after they reset the modem.

Have to say the second experience did not meet my expectations. The croissant was good as was the Aztec Latte but the price tag was a little ridiculous. $ 7.18 — I could have a full meal for $ 10.00 at most any place in town. I realize that the rents are high and it’s a «life-style» center but limited seating downstairs and non-ADA seating compliant seating downstairs and wi-fi that is flaky does NOT justify a $ 7.00 coffee and piece of bread.

A remarkably cozy café with employees that are genuinely thrilled to be working here. The croissant sandwiches(chicken salad, in this case) was up to expectations, as well as the expresso. The sandwich was made by hand and not out of any packaging that had to be warmed up. The wait time was minimal, even with several other customers on both floor levels. The prices are a bit high, yet this was expected due to Café 153’s location within the Bridge Street Town Centre. While the bottom level of the venue has limited seating, the second level has a decent amount of seating on the faux leather chairs and love seats. It is slightly dark within the corners of the room, yet the area is clean, comfortable and cozy to the point of passing out into a brief slumber while awaiting a movie at the nearby Monaco Theater. The employees do a very good job at keeping the upstairs level clean by coming up at least once every 45 minutes or so. This is one of those coffee places that you can conduct a reasonable amount of business in, as well as utilize for leisure. Depending on the day, this Café 153 location can either get very loud, or as quiet as a church. Either way, its still a cool place to stop in at least once or twice… a week!

Right off, my five star review does not include their bagels or croissants or waffles since I’ve never had them. This is a cozy, cheerful, wonderful establishment. It’s tucked away in a corner of Bridge Street so I didn’t even know it existed. Shawn, my barista, was very friendly and recommended a few lattes. He told me what was most popular and what was his favorite and why. I appreciate honest feedback versus someone just trying to sell me drinks. I ordered the Aztec latte which has a pinch of cayenne in it(I asked for two pinches). Delicious! I didn’t have to add anything to it, though customers with a sweet tooth might want to add sugar. I got it with almond milk(they have soy as well) and it’s very creamy and smooth. I also ordered the lone cheese Danish that was left. Fluffy and moist. My friend ordered the blonde latte with almond milk and it’s very tasty as well. Great place to sit if you’re waiting for a movie at Monaco or hanging with friends after work. May not be the greatest place to work since it was a bit dark and louder than I’d like if I’m editing or reading. There is, however, an upstairs area that is probably more conducive for that. I highly recommend Café 153 if you’re in the Bridge Street area!

If the people weren’t so friendly and my sons waffle wasn’t so good this place would have gotten one star. Two croissants a bagel and a waffle. From the time the waffle came out first to the last croissant was about 10 minutes. And we are not talking about extravagant dishes here. Croissant with ham and cheese you can’t make two of those at the same time all the waffle is on the iron and The bagel in the toaster? How can you expect a family of four to eat together when the food comes out very separate?

I thought I’d come here for a change to my usual Starbucks. My latte did not disappoint and the café is cute. I did feel that the customer service was lacking and the service was really slow. I was looking forward to enjoying my drink in a nice, warm mug so I told the barista I wanted my drink for here. Disappointed that I received it in a to go cup. Maybe he was trying to tell me something.

Cool space and decent food. Granted I didn’t try the coffee which the café seems to be popular for but my family and I headed in for lunch after doing a little shopping. The sandwiches were okay — everything seemed to go on the panini maker which made my grilled cheese a bit smushed and soggy. I did like the multigrain bread option but I wasn’t a big fan of the Lays potato chips on the side. Housemade chips or fries would have been more appealing. The chicken salad was good and had a fall twist to it with dried cranberries and green apple pieces. Also the macarons were pretty good!

I want to like this place, really I do. I will give them credit, the coffee is ok. Not the best cup, but not the worst. I have been to this place 4 times now and both myself and various friends have never been able to connect to wifi. We would all much rather work here than Starbucks, but if we can’t connect to the Internet then that’s a problem. Internet connectivity and the ability to get work done is one of the main reasons people go to coffee shops. Second, I went here 2 weeks ago and there was a sign on the restroom that said that the lock is broken use at your own risk… Wait, what? Don’t you think that’s an easy fix, and kind of an important one? This place could be really good, but it seems to just fall short.

Very friendly staff, great smells coming from the coffee roaster, free wifi & a great $ 3 large Americano in a ceramic mug— what’s not to love? Limited food menus of sandwiches & wraps, some fruit, sodas & fancy coffee drinks. Two levels of seating for about 16 on each level. I love Starbucks, but this place has everything I enjoy there including soft music(The Beatles today) Highly recommended!

They do a great job with every cup. I’ve had French press and Expresso and both were prepared expertly by incredibly nice baristas. I wil be back whenever I’m in Huntsville

Coffee is roasted in their shop, but its generally just ok. food is ok as well. If you sit upstairs, you’ll notice a good bit of dust on the ceiling fan. But its a convenient place to stop for coffee and the baristas are nice.

I was looking for a good cup of coffee to go, but it was fairly weak(as in wrong water to coffee ratio). It seemed like a nice place to hang out and do work, but the coffee was not anything I’d seek out.

Café 153 has a great atmosphere. Sweet spot to write and people watch. There’s a second floor balcony that is super chill. Food and non-coffee drinks are average, and the wifi is spotty. Admittedly I don’t drink coffee and most people seem to like their coffee here. The staff is always friendly.

I love going to Café 153 at The Bridge Street Town Centre. They have a friendly staff and yummy drinks. It has been a good experience every time I have been in. They also have wi-fi!

it’s usually quiet, and they have pretty good wraps. A little pricey but that’s cuz it’s in Bridge st.

$ 5 for a hot chocolate. And I couldn’t even finish it. That’s how bad it was! The taste was awful, barely tastes like chocolate, more like almond milk with a hint of something else. I used to go to the one in Hughes and the hot chocolate was amazing. After not going for 6months I tried it again and was disappointed!

It was good on a very cold day. It took the service a while to take the order, but the taste wasn’t too bad. I would come again if I needed something while at Bridgestreet but this is not anything to go out of my way for.

I love going to Café 153 whenever I’m at bridgetstreet. Their frappes are amazing along with their breakfast food. The atmosphere is so inviting and I love the layout of the store. I’ve gone there to socialize with friends, and I’ve also spent some time there studying by myself and with friends. I prefer this coffee shop over the generic chain stores.

Probably the nicest little coffee shop I’d never pay attention to… I’m sure I’ve walked past Café 153 a few dozen times but only yesterday did I actually go on. I was so. Impressed by the product, I’m back again today. Try the dirty chai tea. Upstairs seating is very cool, just watch out for the not-so-supportive chairs. Downstairs seating is comfortable with just enough window seating for casual people watching… for what that’s worth. I hear the French(medium) roast is a coffee drinker’s caffinated fantasy as well.
