popped in for a coffee and hopefully, hot b’fast on the way in to work. Friendly kids run the Foyer. I asked about b’fast and the counter attendant told me they only offer bagels(and maybe other bread products, I wasn’t really listening too well). So, I went with a flavored coffee w/a shot of espresso and picked up chick fil a around the corner. The Foyer is cute college-feeling hangout and a young couple owns it. My sister says their iced tea is wonderful and she enjoyed their cheesecake, too. It’s eclectic inside with local artists CDs for sale and probably local art. Live music. A good addition for UAH students. The restroom was a little run down for my taste, but if you’re a college student, you will likely enjoy yourself here. I think they have sandwiches at lunch and the patio looked pretty cozy, too! Rock on the Foyer, nice to see young business owners filling a niche in HSV.

So after moving to Alabama from California four months ago, I had concluded the only coffee choices semi-near me were the Starbucks in Krogers, or the Starbucks in Target. Both depressing choices if you’re used to indie coffee shops. Just had my first latte from The Foyer and it was awesome. Like… he actually made the coffee, banged the things and didn’t just press a button. My only complaint is it opens at 9:00! Hey I gotta work in Research Park, I need y’all to be open by 7 – 7:30. Then I would go there every day, and change my review to five(5) stars.

Good concept but coffee tastes like nasty machine selection. Quiche was in edible. Nice staff though.

This is one chill little spot! Coffees/espressos were crazy fresh and expertly crafted. Love the staff’s relaxed and laughable vibe. The sandwiches were tasty as were the homemade snacks. Have to mention that board games and a Nintendo64 setup was an unexpected and nostalgic way to enjoy some downtime. If your in-town and looking for a cool, subtle, relaxed vibe, go here!

Beans are not freshly ground, stored in a container next to the«at home» espresso machine. Neat little shop just don’t expect great coffee.

Since moving to Huntsville, I’ve been trying to find a great coffee place to get my «fix». I love how chill this place is. There is tons of seating. Everyone that I’ve encountered that works there are very friendly! I generally go with their latte’s which are very nice, not overly sweet. Their cappuccinos are also very good.

The coffee was extremely fresh. The sandwiches are pretty good. I split the Spicy and the Beef and Pesto with a friend and got a side of chili. I would come here again.

This place started out as a late night coffee shop near one of the college campuses so it made a lot of sense for it to stay open until 1:00AM. It turns out that not only do the college kids like it, but so do the high school kids and the recent college graduates. I am the parent of both a recent college graduate, who is returning to Huntsville and looking for things to do, and a high school student and I also like this place. All the food items, the coffee, and the tea items that I have had are very good. I especially like the chocolate coconut chia, the flavored lattes and especially the homemade cheesecake. They even made a new flavor of cheesecake for a friend of my daughter’s birthday.

The only redeeming feature about the foyer is that it is open until 1am. It would seem that the prices are stellar, except that all sizes are 4oz less than normal so actually the prices are right in line with other area coffee shops. The foyer does offer interesting frapp-style drinks and flavored lattes, but the espresso and brewed coffee are not high quality. The staff is pretty nice, but surprisingly the owners have worse customer service than the employees. Bottom line is that it’s the only place in town open late that has good wifi.

So I checked out this place for the first time tonight and summing it up in one word… CHILL!!! This place is very unique and everybody gets a different coffee mug. Loved that. What I really like is the fact that you can totally play cards, or Nintendo 64 Mario Kart, or just sit at the sofas/tables and have convos with your friends! It’s not loud at all either so you can hear the people you are with or study or whatever. They do have soy milk which is good for people who don’t like dairy, and the menu had things from teas(includes decaf), to coffee, to frozen drinks, lattes, cheesecake(caramel and other types) and it was HOMEMADE! So all in all, I like this place and will definitely be going back. They also have tons of local artists that will be playing in the next few months, which is cool to have coffee, hear some local music, and hang with friends, especially since it’s open till 1 am!

Cool little coffee shop, new in town as of Oct 2012. Only open at night, which gives it a fun young atmosphere. Live bands and board games on the table. Local professional photography on the walls… classy. Saw folks of all ages, including moms and their teenage kids. All the chairs, tables, and coffee cups are unique. Lots of personality. Will be back! Oh yeah and the Americano coffee is terrific!

The Foyer is a great late night hangout, with a mellow atmosphere and fantastic homemade cheesecake. No smoke or obnoxious drunk people. You can actually have a conversation without screaming at the person next to you. A+
