My husband and I went in to place a to go order. We were in the mood for good, satisfying breakfast food. We received our menus from the hostess. She was busy with getting tables ready for parties. We waited for 25 minutes just for a server to get our order. A server didn’t come. The hostess was so busy we didn’t want to say anything, but my husband did try to get her attention. He was ignored. So, we left. If we go again it won’t be for a to go order. Though honestly we will just go to another location. To go orders shouldn’t be ignored. No customer should be simply because they are not part of a party.

This location definitely does not know how to handle take out orders. Called it in at 1:34PM. Closed ticket at 2:07PM. Still no food. 10 minutes later asked about it and was told it is on the way out. Got to car and checked order. No corn muffins. I know first world problem. I had asked for 6 already. Back into store. 10 minutes later finally had order complete. I’m not sure what the problem is here but managers were interviewing new staff, perhaps new management is needed.

This is the worst Cracker Barrel period. I have been here a number of times due to the fact that it’s close to where I live and work. It’s not horrible every time but it’s a fifty fifty chance. The service is rude most of the time your food will be served cold half the time though the taste is always good so long as you can stomach cold hash brown casserole. Decided to try take out today to bypass the rudeness and ineptitude that usually occurs while dinning in. Well today they can’t take my order because I want dumplings and those aren’t ready cause it’s 10:20 am. I always get dumplings at ten when I eat there. Yet again they manage to disappoint. Funny thing is Madison location had no issues taking my order. Two stars for food that when and if it comes is usually edible.

Been here many times before and have had good experiences mostly. So I decided to order some food to go. Everybody that works here is very helpful and nice to deal with. Here’s where things don’t go so well. I was told over the phone that my food would be ready in 10 – 15 minutes. I ended up waiting for 40 minutes and had to ask the hostess where my order was. It was just sitting back in the kitchen. My name was never called and so it sat there and got cold. So when I got home I had to put it in the microwave. I should have just waited for a table, told the waitress it was to go, and had her box everything up. I would have waited the same amount of time and had hot food. It’s an ok Cracker Barrel just don’t order to go. Nobody there really knows how that system is supposed to work.

You need new hostesses. 3 of us listening for our name and it was either not called or grossly mispronounced. How many ways are there to pronounce«Kara?» Can you at least get a literate hostess? I will post back regarding the rest of the experience. This better be good after waiting 1.5 hrs for s table.

This location by far has had the worst table service, every time we have visited… and we visit every Cracker Barrel possible… in multiple cities across the country. We love the food, the atmosphere and the old country store. The hostess was great, however it looked like she was the only one working yet the manager was pushing her incredibly hard. Our server needed more training as a whole… she took a long time to bring out our drinks, brought out our jelly after we were almost finished with our bread, 15 minutes for refills during the meal… the meal of which I did not get to eat because she forgot to turn in with my party! I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad… I was there an hour and all I got to eat was a cornbread muffin, while the rest of my family, all 6 of them, felt bad for eating without me. The front of the house manager gave a half hearted apology. However, the kitchen manager did make a good effort to correct the issues. We weren’t the only ones that had a less than stellar visit. There were two tables of diners that got up and left after being seated for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged by a server. Unless we change our minds, sadly this might finally be our last visit to this location.

Kristian was our server. She did a great job even having a large section that was full. She was kind and sweet to all her customers. Would come here just for her service. Coffee cups were never empty. Had blueberry pancakes which were delicious. All the food was cooked as order. Came out hot. Highly recommend this Cracker Barrel in Huntsville, AL. We will be back.

Outstanding. We don’t eat there as often as we like. Last time the food and service were exceptionally good and we decided to go back and see if that was a fluke or if they were the same. They are still exceptional. The service was polite and fast. We were seated within a very few minutes and had our meals within 10 minutes. The food was great. The management ion this location has discovered the secret to running a great place to eat. The building was immaculate and orderly. I had chicken livers and my wife had fried catfish. We will be regular customers.

Tonight my fiancé and I went to dinner and ordered off the breakfast menu. From the second I ordered I specifically let the server know that I wanted my eggs OVERMEDIUM. I made sure to put emphasis on the fact that I did not want them too runny. Once another server dropped off our food I cut open the egg and it ran all over the plate and she offered to have them remade since she saw that the ticket said over medium eggs. The remade eggs were EXACTLY the same. I asked to speak with the manager… This is what he said after I told him my issue with the eggs… «I made those eggs myself. Here at Cracker Barrel this is how we make over medium eggs, the white is hard while the inside is soft. Do you want me to remake them?» I declined since I had already specified twice within 20 mins what I wanted. Over medium eggs ARENOTDIFFERENT at different restaurants. I appreciate that he offered to remake them again as it is his job to make sure I am happy… However agruing with me when I have already told him and two servers that the eggs were too runny is NOT the appropriate way to approach the guest. When a customizable item is not to the guests liking then there should be zero backlash on the part of management or any other staff. I could understand if I was asking him to change the flavor of the gravy or the biscuits… But this is not the case. My complaint is no longer about the eggs, but how the manager approached the situation. Needless to say, I left there upset tonight. P. S. I posted a picture of my eggs. Also, the kitchen staff should learn how to make more than over ever easy and scrambled eggs.

We like Cracker Barrel. Or as my granddaughter use to call it «The Corn Place». They had a billboard with a huge ear of corn on it. As a general rule we enjoy our visits to the restaurant and have never had a bad meal. Until today. Granted its a holiday and there was maybe a shortage of help in the kitchen so we really weren’t going to complain. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food and then most of it was cold. The gravy and grits were inedible. My wife is diabetic so we didn’t say much to the waitress, we just wanted to eat. When we checked out the cashier asked the obligatory question… was everything ok. So we told her. She called the manager and we told her too. Debbie, the manager, took care of the whole bill. Wow. We REALLY weren’t looking for that. Really we would have been happy with a discount but Debbie wouldn’t hear of it. She apologized and is the reason we’ll be back. It might take awhile but we’ll be back.

One of my recommended Cracker Barrel dinners: GRILLed chicken fingers, carrots, green beans, and spiced apples(for desert) Unilocal tries to be helpful and asked me if they have«outdoor seating» As in typical of all Cracker Barrels, they«have outdoor seating» but not for Dining… just relaxing on the patio in one of their rocking chairs.

Generally love their biscuits, chicken and dumplings, etc… especially their turnip greens! Man! Tonight, however, was different. Though I was in a rush, that was not the issue. It was busy and I dealt with the wait. But I ordered the plain hash browns with my sirloin-egg-grits-biscuits combo. The sirloin had a good taste, but if I’d tanned all the gristle I found in it, I’d have shoelaces for a year. They brought gravy I asked to omit, brought hash brown casserole(WHICH I HATE) when I slowly, specifically, nicely asked for plain, and brought one strawberry jelly when I asked for a bunch of blackberry… only. And the grits were cold. I couldn’t melt the butter, even when mashing it. CB needs to get their act together. It’s one of the few bad experiences I’ve ever had there, but they made it memorable. I had a good waiter, but didn’t have time to send 65% of my food back. It was the kitchen’s fault.

I have been to several Cracker Barrel’s on my travels, and this one is pretty good! The main reason I like it, i it’s open for breakfast on a Sunday!(The Heathens!!!). And it is near my house. I love the Country boy breakfast, Country Ham, 3 eggs, Biscuits, Gravy, Grits, cheese potatoes… Mmmmmmmmmm. They leave me alone to just sit and eat and catch up on my Nature and Science reading.

Many years ago, my family frequently stopped at CB while on the road. A few years later, I tried to boycott them but my family usually won out — I never went on my own. Now that I am living in the South again(and assume — hope — that their employee policies have changed) I am in love with CB again. Love whatever I order. Wait staff is always friendly, usually fast but not always. And some times they kept me well stocked on sweet tea — and other times the glass is constantly empty. Good value. I’ll be back!(along with my family)
