We tend to go on Friday nights but sometimes we go other days. While the sandwiches are always the very best, the Friday night crew is amazing! They’re funny, fast, helpful and in sync as a team. Good job Jimmy Johns! Really good job!

Food is good… but why do they insist on blasting music??? Where is the manager? You can’t conduct business here… maybe that’s why the tables are always emoty.

Heard talk about how good and fresh the sandwiches were… and they were right! Jimmy Johns produces some overstuffed sandwiches any way you like them, cold that is… The service was out of this world and every staff member we encountered was pleasant and attentive. The bathrooms were immaculate as was the establishment itself. Throw in a limited delivery are and what’s not to like? Finally an alternative to the«other» sandwich chains. Nice price point as well.

A number of my coworkers had talked very positively about this chain so I was eager to try it out when they opened a store in Madison. After a couple visits I’m really not sure what the excitement was all about. They brag about how fast they are, but I just feel rushed like they want me out if the way so they can get to the next customer. The sandwiches themselves are okay but certainly nothing special.

I love it and eat here all the time! The sandwiches are cold only, but that’s fine. I particularly like the bread and the oil/vinegar sauce. Tasty! The chocolate chip cookies are good too.

I agree with the previous review that said«don’t waste your time.» They are fast at preparing the sandwiches, but they also make a lot of mistakes with the orders. Their delivery service is not very good either. You apparently have to be very close to the store for them to deliver. You also may get them to deliver to you a couple of times and then the next time they say they don’t deliver to that address. Very inconsistent and unreliable. I would suggest going to any of the many other sandwich places in Madison.

I absolutely love Jimmy John’s! I am so excited that they finally have one in our area. I first tried Jimmy John’s in Auburn and have had them in Indiana, Chattanooga TN, Nashville TN, Jacksonville NC and now Madison AL. We are getting one soon in Huntsville AL, and I am super excited! Before they was a store in my area we would always go to Jimmy John’s everytime we went to Nashville. In my opinion their subs are so much better than Subways subs. Their meats and veggies always taste fresh and consistent everytime and every restaurant I have been to. This is by far my favorite sub shop around and to me not other sub shop compares. The staff has always been friendly and the subs are always ready extremely fast. I would definitely recommend these subs to anyone!

I always order online so I can’t tell you what it’s like to dine in. My sandwiches are delivered quickly, the order is always correct and tastes great.

I’ve been here twice and both times ordered a simple ham and cheese sandwich. I’m not sure if it is their ham or the mayonnaise they use, but the sandwich just has a strange taste about it. I’m not the kind who loads up on the toppings, so it’s got to be one of those two items. They do, however, make your sandwich quickly. But hey, when that’s all they do, why shouldn’t your sandwich be made quick? The difference between Jimmy John’s and Subway is here you tell them what you want on your sandwich before you pay. I think that causes the bottleneck at Subway.

This was my first time to visit a Jimmy John’s. It is just an average«cold» sub sandwich shop. PROS: The kids working the counter/making sandwiches had a lot of enthusiasm and were *really* stressing something about a 30 second sandwich preparation time. And, indeed, they make them quickly. You can get your sub on a(white bread) roll; although I did read where some people were able to get theirs on a wheat variant; or wrapped in lettuce. I asked for Dijon mustard on the tuna salad sub I ordered, and did not get mustard. Oddly, since I don’t bother looking at my receipts much, I noted that they charge .25 for a cup if you order a «cup» of water(vice a bottled water). Maybe this is common. I wanted a fork b/c I’m not a big bread eater, so I could eat the tuna, etc. without picking up tuna with my hands, and was told they don’t have knives and forks and that: «Next time you should try it wrapped in lettuce.» I would still like a fork if I’m trying to eat a gloppy tuna salad wrapped in lettuce. Kinda weird place, and music was super loud.

I have to admit that I’m not a huge sub sandwich shop kind of girl. My big argument is always that most of the offerings could just as easily be made at my house with stuff in my fridge. I first became aware of Jimmy John’s when I was in college and never tried(because of the reasoning above), but then when we got ours here in madison, my boyfriend begged me to try it. He’s always been huge fan and a major proponent. After trying it a couple of times, I have to say they are winning me over. I usually get the Hunter’s club(because I love roast beef) and all the ingredients seem good quality. The usual bread is a french bread, but now I like ot change it to the seven grain, its AWESOME! The service is always great, practically everyone working greets you as soon as you walk in the door. And of course their claim to fame is their spped at putting your sandwich together. I think the longest I’ve waiting from ordering to holding a sandwich is about 2 minutes so I have to give them major credit. Overall, if you like sub sandwiches or really fast food, I’d definitely recommend it.

This place does have really fast deliveries and they are always correct with my order! I dont really like to eat at the place, because the music is really loud. I dont think this one is as good as the one in auburn, but it will do. The employees are a little young and not so educated in customer service, so sometimes I have to repeat my order or my question.

Love the sandwiches here. First ate them at the one in Auburn, AL but have since eaten at several different locations and the sandwiches are consistently good. My fav is the Hunter’s Club on the 7 Grain bread. This location is quick, only complaint is that they sometimes have the temp low enough to hang meat. I guess it gets hot in the prep area because of the bread baking, but then the customers get frozen out. I am not a fan of the strategy to ask what your order is at the register that is not open so they can«start your sandwich» and then you have to wait in line to repeat your order and pay. The prep is fast enough that this is more annoying than helpful.

I love Jimmy John’s. When I was in Auburn, I would eat there about twice a month. Fantastic cold sandwiches for a good price. Is it the best sandwich I’ve ever had? No. Is it a great value that is delicious, fast, and consistent? Absolutely. I’ve never had a bad experience with any JJ, but the Huntsville joint is still new, clean, and the staff always seems excited and upbeat.

Jimmy John’s is taking a lot of my business away from Subway, mainly because I prefer their bread which tastes like, and has similar texture to, Pillsbury French Bread. The crew seems to be making a conscious effort to be friendly — they greet you coming and going.

If you like a well made sandwich(cold subs), these are worth a try. I’ll go back. They also deliver and not many sub places to that.

Chain Sandwich place, a step up from your usual though. The bread is fantastic and made daily. They are super quick as well. The selection is a bit lacking but what they do have I am a fan of. They also have a limited area of delivery, so lucky you if you live in that area. Hopefully this chain spreads a bit as I would love to have more delivery options in Madison. Pizza or Pizza kind of sucks(I hate steak-out).

Great place to grab a quick sandwich. Nothing too fancy(no hot subs)… just fresh, pure, deli-style subs. The one in Tuscaloosa is usually faster than the paying process. This new location in Madison is just a bit slower, but they’ll get there. My favorites: The Club Lulu, the Turkey Tom, and the Beach Club. They also deliver to the immediate area.
